If Copyworks ever wonders why they’re going to be out of business soon it might be due to the following:
1. Poor print quality
2. Customer service (which includes making sure print quality is exceptional)
3. Not supplying mailing materials
4. Not doing the requested job (cutting down the paper to 8X10, as requested)
Good luck!

This is my go to shop, they are so kind, my orders are always done fast without errors and the lady that works there knows my sight problem and she enlarges for me where needed. Staff has NEVER been cranky to me, ever. I recommend them to everyone. Jo

I came in to have an item faxed and then attempted to pay with my bank card. I was told there's a minimum purchase price that is greater than the cost of faxing the document. I told him that's okay, he can just charge me that much. The man said no, I have to purchase something that meets the minimum purchase value of using a card. The person waiting behind me became frustrated and slapped down enough change to cover the service with cash.
--------
I used photo editing software to edit a very precise adhesive label. It ended up coming out quite pixelated. I asked the staff about this and the staff said that the file itself must be pixelated.
Okay so, again, I was using photo editing software with high definition images and measured out exact dimensions. So what I'm figuring is, their machines are only going to print so well and if you want something really high definition it would probably be better to purchase a laser printer or something.
With that said the staff were friendly and courteous

It seems there is zero communication among employees, designers, and management. When I called, employee David stated there would be no problem delivering the product in the time I requested. When the designer reached out in response to my art requests, she made it sound like I was asking for a quick turn around. Then, they couldn't even fulfill my full order due to mechanical malfunction with their printer. While they did offer up a subpar "solution" to get me my order, they charged me royally for something I'll need to throw away after it's 20 minutes of use. I do several jobs through them a year but I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Customer service/customer care seems to be low on their priority list. Please consider another local print shop for your needs because even with clear communication, my needs where no where near met.

Had my wedding programs printed at Copyworks in Dubuque. The first & second batches I picked up were smudged and not satisfactory. The third time the programs were not cut well and the wrong PDF was used. Copyworks printed my programs four different times for me and the final product was perfect! They only charged me for one batch. Janet was extremely helpful via email and timely in her response. Thank you Copyworks Dbq!

Was looking to get a playbook laminated. Stood around the front for about 10 minutes with two people behind the desk. Neither one address me. Finally a person comes out from that back/side room they have and asks how they can help me. I respond with my playbook. They tell me I need to send the file to them then returns to the room, never to be seen again. I don't quite know how to take this. Are they getting some info for me? Are they coming back out? Are they even going to acknowledge me again? The answer is no to all of the above. The only way I talked to anyone again was when I went back to the front and had to introduce myself to the middle aged man up there. He told me how to send the file to them so already better than miss manager or whoever talked to me first. I send the file. He proceeds to print off the playbook and verified I wanted the playbook laminated, which I do. He sends the playbook through, but this is where lack of communication kills this entire already angry customer. I had brought up a binder with sheets in order to make the playbook and actual play book. My idea was that he was going to assist with the cutting and placing of the pages to create the book itself. Nope. His idea was to laminate the entire playbook in a single line (which at this point would be around 50+ pages one sided), roll it up into a rug, slap on the counter and ring up the price. I am caught off guard and giving this guy the benefit of the doubt, so I go to pay. Quick question: have you ever held a rolled up lamination rug? its smooth and slide everywhere. So mister no-brain here put it on the counter and set up the payment, but he wasn't holding onto it, nor did he tell me he wasn't or that I might need to grab this thing. Inside starts to slide out and as i go to try and grab it, remember lamination is very smooth, it completely spills out, spiking right into the ground before bending, chipping, and denting what would be the edges of the pages. I turn to see what mister no-brain was doing, but alas, he was gone. Probably ran to Narnia in the back room with his incompetent manager. Also he didn't wait until the transaction was complete, so I guess that makes him incompetent too.
TL:DR this place is run by people who live on the intersection of incompetent and indifferent. Don't go here, and if you do, don't expect any level of actual help.

Wedding planning: they had a staff change during the process so had to start all over because they couldn’t find any of our design info and couldn’t recreate it. Save the date addressing problem so they had to reprint those. Had to add an insert to the invitation and couldn’t find our design to match the invitation. After all that we had to cancel the wedding because of Covid and they refused to reprint unless we paid full price. You probably already guessed it, we went somewhere else. Service at the counter was something to be desired. Many other issues but this review is long enough.

Graphic designer Sam did a fantastic job working with me to create a photo collage she hadn’t done before, she was responsive and did a quick turn around to ensure I had it for a memorial gathering within a few days! Thanks Sam for your expertise and help!

After giving them a sample label and the changes that were needed. It took 4 attempts to get 500 labels made, and they still could not get the logo size exactly how the original was, and the text was not as the sample given.
Disappointed to say the least!

Horrible service. My printer wasn't working so I had to go here for something I needed immediately. I sat at the counter for 5 minutes before any of the 4 workers even looked at me. There was nobody else in the store at the time. To make a very long story short, I was in the store for about 40 minutes for a print job that would have taken me 90 seconds. It took everything in my power not to go behind the counter and show them how to do their job. The worker printed it on the wrong paper and it costed 3X what I should've paid. At that point I did not have the time or patience to argue.

My husband and I went to get our passport pictures taken. Walked up to the counter there were 3 staff members and was not greeted by any of them. Finally one guy turned around from his computer and said can I help you? No hello or friendly greeting at this point either. We said what we were there for and the staff member spoke out across the room, to the two other people can one of you help them. The female staff member didn't respond at all and seemed to completely ignore him. The other staff member helped us, never said hello. Very awkward, after taking my picture I asked if I could see it, he looked at me like I was an idiot and if he was annoyed. At the end when he gave us our pictures he then says do you like them. I wanted to say maybe you should have asked this before you printed and cut them. But I just said sure, we paid and left. Very cold atmosphere and this staff needs to learn what customer service means.

Customer service has been excellent in the past WHEN you plan everything out in advance. If you need something on the fly, they are not helpful.
Asked if they could print me sticker or address labels within 24 hours AND they claimed a designer was out all week. Stop in to have something else printed and they have a designer on the computer. Liars.

Very bad service, Destiny the employee there is very mean and rude she doesn"t know what she is doing i had to wait for my passport photo for 40 minutes although i was the only customer there, she was just doing her own work( Venny Vennuchi"s menus) didn"t copy my goverment id in color cause she said she couldn"t do it plus the ones she copied were bad, you couldn"t see everything on it. Also the passport photo she made was not right, my face looked black and bad,,, do not recommend that place at all, 0 stars!!!!

2 different phone calls, 2 different people called Copyworks to ask about a trifold job for brochures we had printed off and both times we were quoted 2 cents a sheet. So I took them in to have done. When I went to pick them up it ended up being 4 cents a sheet all because we didn't print them off with Copyworks. I guess with Copyworks you have to do their job by asking them if there is a different cost for folding if you didn't print them with them.

Terrible experience. A client of mine took a drawing I had done to get printed. 'Andy' said it was copyrighted and wouldn't print. Client called me and I spoke with 'Andy' and told him he had my permission to print. Andy said no without written permission. I said you called the number on the drawing and I answered and confirmed I had placed the copyright info. Phone call should be sufficient. Andy hung up! It was a Saturday and my client was stuck, so I took off the copyright info and re-emailed to my client. Andy does not understand basic customer service. It is Andy's way or the highway. Do yourself a favor and take the highway. Over to Staples!
