On a xc road trip and I like to shop locally owned places- especially since covid when Governors put so many honest hard working people out of business.
When I neared Dodge and did a search I wasn't hopeful when I saw mostly chains, that big one from Seattle, franchises and then here- where a reviewer said it was a drive-up, which I'm finding are rather blah.
What a surprise to open the doors and smell the freshly roasted beans!
This Seattle area boy is one happy human bean!!

Great coffee, unique lattes (the B-Town latte was phenomenal), small selection of breakfast food and pastries, warm and relaxing atmosphere, and good location in the middle of town! I live on the road, and every place that I travel I look for unique coffee shops for my glorious caffeine addiction.

Today found me in Dodge City, KS.

"Thou shalt" stop at Red Beard Coffee. They are coffee roaster, with an amazing atmosphere at their main store. They also have a kiosk on the north side of town.

As a roaster, I appreciate that they roast their espresso on the lighter side, and it has an incredible depth and clarity of bean flavor. After all, the bean is what makes espresso unique and different.

Having been two hundreds of coffee shops, this place definitely will be one that I would come out of the way to stop in at again.

We had a classic espresso drink and one of their specialty creations. A classic breve, and a "The Mrs."

Highly recommend.

They also have a line of beard care products as well.

The proprietor has a glorious and well-groomed red beard.

Loved this quaint historic dog-friendly spot! I had the peppermint mocha and it was so delicious! We even got a pup cup for our dog! Barista was super knowledgeable and friendly! A must stop on the Dodge City walking tour!!

A bit surprised my latte was not ground, brewed, and steamed. Must have had extra made already? That is a sound I'm used to hearing in coffee shops but did not today.
And although it tasted decent, it was just warm. I had to take it home and heat it up.
I had higher expectations but gave you three stars for the staff being nice.

What a fantastic cafe! They have creative drinks as well as great mainstays, and fun seasonal snacks. This place was a highlight of my time in Dodge for its friendly and accommodating staff, great location, and nice atmosphere for working.

Great stop for a drink and breakfast! I travel through town for work and now stop in here every morning I'm in Dodge. Great food, delicious drinks, professional and friendly staff and clean environment. Doesn't get better than that!

Cute place and loved my peppermint latte. Premade bagel sandwich was good but not the most fresh or able to be modified as it's premade. I'm not religious and it doesn't bother me when people are but only hearing Christian music the whole time while there made the atmosphere slightly less than ideal.

First time in Dodge City and I love trying new coffee spots. I loved everything about this place. In the historical downtown, so it had a really awesome feel to it. My brown sugar latte was delicious and everyone was so nice. Can't wait to come back!

I live in CO and go to school in MO. I have stopped by Red Beard almost every drive to home/school for the last 3 years and I love it! Friendly people, great shop, and quality coffee roasted in-house. I’ll continue to stop by whenever I drive through!

We stopped in Dodge City for a night on our road trip and visited Red Beard for coffee and a quick breakfast for our son before continuing on. What a great spot! Loved the look of the shop, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The coffee and scones were delicious. They have some really cool merch as well! I'm not sure if/when we will ever be back in Dodge City, but if we ever find ourselves there again, we will definitely stop at Red Beard!

Delicious coffee and a great experience while visiting Dodge City last weekend! When we got home I ordered beans from the website because I enjoyed my medium roast so much. Tracking shows that they'll arrive on Friday and I'm looking forward to brewing them on Saturday morning!

What a gem! We needed some caffeine on our drive and Red Beard did not disappoint! We chose a specialty blended drink (the whipped cream was homemade and coffee flavored)! And a specialty iced coffee drink. Also a warmed up chocolate muffin. Great location, great decor, friendly service.

Great place to stop in and sit down or get a latte to go. Bakery items are good as well. Good location in downtown Dodge City. The staff is always very friendly. Would definitely recommend stopping by and getting coffee here.

We love supporting small businesses and especially the really good ones. We were visiting Dodge City and did not expect to find such good coffee and service. We stopped in on Saturday morning and it was getting busy. The service was awesome and the coffee was really good. We had brewed coffee and it was really tasty. The shop is well decorated to give you that coffee house experience. If your trying decide on this place or Starbucks, go here for sure.

I grew up in dodge city as a kid, but still intermittently come back in town to visit my parents since they live here still. I have lived in Boston area for a couple years now and I have to say, despite many coffee places I’ve been too, Red Beard continues to be my favorite coffee place, ever. It’s such a gem in town, and we’re really lucky to have such a great place like Red Beard! I just stopped by this morning but I already want to come back again before I leave :)

This is a genuine diamond in the rough. Many would use a "hole in the wall" term but I don't think that gives enough credit to this gem of Dodge City. It's in historical downtown and is high class without making any person feel unwelcome. The folks patronizing as well as the staff are always friendly. The drinks and treats are not big name coffee shop, but that's a good thing because it's much better. Like when your grandmother baked a pie with love and it tasted better than when you ever made it.

Stopped by on my way home from KC.

1. No exaggeration- their kraken blend is the best drip coffee I've ever had.

2. The red beard is a super cool dude. I threw my empty coffee cup in his bean storage thinking it was a trash can. He readily accepted my apology, and we had a decent conversation as a result.

Great coffee. Great staff. Great atmosphere. I'm surprised they haven't put the local Starbucks out of business.

We were visiting family over in Larned and decided to visit Dodge City. When we arrived, basically everything was closed, huge disappointment... Luckily Red Beard coffee was there to save the day! Great atmosphere, great staff, coffee hit the spot on a cold day. It is a shame it is so far from home, I would definitely be a regular! Highly recommend giving this place a shot.

My wife and I swung through here while in Dodge City to try out a hometown brew. Just walking through door you get good fresh smell of coffee beans and the place is so warm and welcoming. The staff are courteous, fast and professional. Definitely going to cone back again.

Recommended by the KOA Park Manager. Stopped by for two drinks and snack and have to say the place is impressive. The young lady who waited on me was great. Our orders were perfect and prices more than fair. They have a number of tee-shirts available for purchase as well as stickers advertising their business.

Visited for the first time while passing through Dodge City. It was a Saturday afternoon and busy, but the staff were still very friendly and working efficiently as a team for the crowds. The high reviews didn't steer me wrong- y'all have great coffee, down to its roasted-on-site foundation! The Captain Cranberry was a pleasant surprise of a Cold Brew variety I haven't seen done before. Any time I'm back in Dodge City, I'll be paying y'all a visit :)

There was actually a guy with a red beard here, 10/10. Got a latte with house roasted beans and home made vanilla syrup. Highly recommend stopping in and walking over to the visitor information spot across the street.

Passing thru and stopped to see the historic Front St. Needed a little pick-me-up before continuing my journey, and decided to try this place on the corner of the quaint brick road. My wife asked if they did lunch, but it didn’t look like it, bc all I saw to eat were pastries and small things to nibble on. That’s ok tho, bc the rustic interior is very welcoming, as was the very friendly barista behind the counter. The Christmas blend was just what the doctor ordered!

Busiest time of the week and the wait was about 2 and a half minutes; and atmosphere! The layout of this store somehow manages to be rustic/nostalgic and modern. The coffee blend is creamy and full bodied without bitterness. Delicious. Thank you!

Red Beard coffee has to be one of the nicest local businesses around dodge. Their staff are always friendly and able to inform you of what's inside their coffee and other such. Their prices are near the same as a regular big coffee chain but it is a quality product that you can't deny. If you have to get coffee and Dodge City I would suggest this would be the place!
