Well, where do I begin? Oh yes! I've been shopping at Shaw's in Easton MA for well over 30 years. Last Thursday (day after Christmas) I went there and ordered 8 lobsters to be picked up New Years eve day at 1pm. The seafood manager also said she would give me Thursday's price of $7.99/lb. I go in to pick up my lobsters, go to the seafood counter and give them my name. The response from the worker was "sorry but all the orders seem to have disappeared". I look at the tank and said give me 8 of those. He said OK but they are today's price of $12.88/lb. I asked to see the seafood manager and he said she won't be in until 2pm. I then ask to see the store manager. This young 30-something with a beard comes out and says he can't honor the $7.99/lb price. I told him that's bullshit. He said you don't need to swear and I said OK, that's crap then. I told him to call the seafood manager to confirm my order. He supposedly did and said he still can't honor the price. Shaw's did this on purpose. The store manager figured why sell the lobster's at the price people were promised and sell them for more on New Years eve. This was very dishonest. I'm sure it was bull that the orders had been "lost". I told him well you also just "lost" a loyal customer to Market Basket. Even Big Y is better. Stay away from Shaw's unless you like the "Used Car" experience.

If you are getting a cake don’t get anything written on it unless you want to ruin the cake. I came in to get a cake for a 14th birthday party and I found a really cute cake. We went to get “Auroras 14th” written on the cake and she ruined it. Not only did she write it upside down but she misspelled it and used a hideous pink. Who allowed her to do the writing? We still had to get the cake because we needed one and didn't have time to go somewhere else. There also wasn't any other cake that looked like it so we were stuck with this horrendous cake. Don't get your cakes written on here.

Most expensive orange juice prices of any store in the area. Charges over suggested MSRP per multiple news sources. Twenty+ years shopping at Shaw's and we switched to Big Y and Target for lower prices. Tropicana MSRP is $3.99 and Shaw's charged $4.29. Other grocery stores and department stores charge $3.59 or $3.89 when not on sale. I contacted Shaw's Corporate, and nothing changed.

Why do they feel the need to take advantage of us on a staple like OJ? Times are tough Shaw's. Is that extra .29 cents worth losing business over?

Very clean, cashiers are friendly, and they have a variety of shopping carts for kids to pick from. My son loves the police car and fire truck!

I’ve had to return several melons as they weren’t ripe or were very overripe. I’d had to return 3 bags of coffee beans as it was bitter and burnt tasting at $17 a bag. But that is with every brand of coffee I buy. Bust be a bad crop year. The 20/80 store brand hamburger is off tasting and smelling and I occasionally find hard gristle pieces in it. I’ll be shopping elsewhere for fruits and meat. I have shopped here for 5 years

Recently came in after a tough day to get produce. An incredibly kind cashier named Darling had a very pleasant chat with me, normally I don't chat much when I'm out, but it made my day and I'm still thinking about it a week later. Incredibly nice woman!!

This store really needs to get its act together. I shop there more frequently since the pandemic because it is not crowded, but here are some issues:
The veggie "wall" type display gives the illusion of containing lots of choices of the same leafy, green items, but in fact, there are a few wilted, unappealing bunches of the items. Also, what is advertised is often NOT out! The produce person was helpful in bringing out the mustard greens when I pointed out that what was on display was, in fact, dandelion greens and not mustard greens.
The loose oyster mushrooms (which went up $1.00/lb since last year to $6.99/lb) are now often shaggy, dog-eared and frayed on the tip as if they were shoved around and not handled gingerly.

I really like the discounted meat section because I have bought perfectly good meat there sometimes marked down 30-50% and except for a little discoloration, the meat has never been bad or unpleasant. That is a substantial saving!

The service is really poor. It seems that the young men at the register are always too involved in their own personal chats to pay any attention to the customer. In fact, once I was at a register with my own shopping bags and inquiring that they would be packed heavy as the conversationalists completely ignored me. The young man behind the register was saying to the bagger man that he is majoring in science and that "this" was just a temporary gig till he has a "real" job. Meanwhile, admiring the young man for his major, I just stood completely ignored as I was not, in any shape or form, part of his "real" professional or even social landscape! To stand there and blatantly put down his current job in front of customers was in very poor taste for so many reasons.
If the register is run by older people, they either sas you or are completely clueless about simple items they sell at the store, and unable to distinguish between a stock of celery and parsley or shiitake mushrooms and oyster mushrooms or spinach vs Swiss chard! 🤔

Oddly enough, except for most of the younger ladies, who at least may greet or acknowledge you, the majority of the cashiers either cant identify basic food items, count backwards to make change, or even "read the room" or pick up on social cues/ body language and will go on to play with a kid in their line, while ignoring clues that may indicate someone may be in a hurry or that there is a paying customer right in front of them.

Where is management in all this? Someone to see to the displays being replenished and people having enough common sense to tell Tuscan melons from honey dew melons or to just have the person at the register take the slightest interest in your needs if you are not a cute toddler?

This is the LEAST friendly and caring supermarket within the 15 mile radius of iteself! I have to shop there because of the value and savings. I think corporate got the digital coupons and the app. right for people who like to meal plan and save money using technology. Otherwise, I would totally avoid this store.

July 1st 2024:

Lately, there have been many issues with the digital coupons but instead of an apology the manager had the nerve to be belligerent to the point that the bagger noticed and apologized!

I had never been treated so badly and for what? I wanted to ask if I was an inconvenience to her and the register lady, but instead I said, this is an issue with digital coupons. There no apology and the bagger person even agreed that the manager was rude and he said sorry for the inconvenience. I hope he didn't get fired for being honest and nice!

The produce section is a mess with wilted veggies and produce boxes strewn about just about every single day. At least mark them down and clean up!

I don't have a store closer with this value, or I would never set foot there again. Some of the people there look miserable and are nasty to customers and there is a clear and obvious lack of professional management at this store!

Hello, I wrote a review before and still having issues with this store, I’ve been shopping here for years. Over recent months the bagging has been HORRIBLE, squished bread and broken eggs. Today 3/10/24 my bread was squished by the weight of other groceries on top of it, brought it back right back into the store with receipt after loading my bag in the car and was blamed for it but they took it back because I had the receipt….. send on that receipt it showed I bought a Snapple peach ice tea which I got from one of the front coolers by the registers and it expired in November 2023…. GROSS…

This store is always out of stock of common items I shop for on a regular basis. It is also filthy and disgusting. I walked into the bathroom to find an unflushed toilet with urine all over the seat. I asked for assistance but after standing there for 15 minutes I could no longer wait and had to leave.

Nice store better than others of same name. Produce is fresh. Lots of buy 3 reduce prices. Bakery products all look fresh. Seems to have staff to run the registers. Not much waiting at the end...sometimes depends on the "traffic". LOL!

The self checkout has really helped move that portion of the shopping experience along. The deli, however is the worst. Every single person working in that department seems to be miserable and when you approach, they turn their back and pretend they are busy cleaning equipment. When they finally acknowledge your presence, their approach makes you feel like you are bothering them. Here's a tip. If you don't like your job, quit! But don't take it out on the paying customers. Shaws needs to fix this...

Flower Department Review - Great flowers at great prices. Shaw's is my typical grocery store in town & recently I've started to get flowers there. Today, I had the most incredible experience when picking out an arrangement for my wife. I had picked a few different flowers and asked the women in the florist department (I didn't get her name) to arrange them in a bouquet for me. They came out absolutely stunning & I paid less than half of what I would pay at a traditional florist. Also the women who helped me was so kind & made my experience that much better.

I will say that between the too local markets, I will choose Shaw's over Big Y every time. I will not speak to prices or selection because I feel that that really just depends on how you shop. But I will say they staff their store well. Not all cashier's are equal but they almost never make you wait in long lines and are very attentive when the lines do get long. Isn't a pretty store but it seems well run and that is all I need.

Excellent and clean store, easy layout and plenty of space. Employees are helpful and kind.

Edit: after living in the area for a while, this shaws is incredibly overpriced compared to other stores in the area. If you want dry goods/common frozen or fridge items you’ll save like 50% by going to target. SEVEN DOLLARS FOR HALF AND HALF? No thank you. This store is still great for a quick in and out experience but be ready to pay for the convenience.

They have sushi! It was fresh and delicious. I also purchased some tasty clear water based beverages which had low or no sugars and sweeteners but were fortified with antioxidants, fiber, and protein. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean bathroom.

Usually this store is ok but I went in looking for a pork shoulder. Picked up a piece. Went to go pay for it and noticed the “manager’s special” sticker on the packaging and then noticed a horrid smell coming from it. How disgusting. You shouldn’t be trying to sell bad meat.

Very expensive compared to other grocery stores within a mile or two. If they have a sale on stuff, then Maybe some stuff will be less expensive, but overall. At least 15 to 20% more expensive. Store was clean. It is never crowed.

Shaws Grocery Store in Sharon MA is my "go to" store when all other stores run out of something. I have about a 70% success rate finding it in Shaws Sharon. That is compared to a 0% success rate everywhere else. I would say they know how to order and not just be lazy and blame it on the supply chain.

The Shaw's grocery in Easton offers great choices and I was pleased with my cart full of groceries. I went to self check out because there was only one register open with 6 people in line. An item I was buying was advertised buy one, get one free but didn't ring up that way so I folliwed the instructions on the screen which locked it up. Lights were flashing for help. I realized a couple of other people were having the same issue but we couldn't get any assistance. I left without my groceries after 20 minutes. I won't go back.

I went to the store to get my child medicine and the doors were locked at 8:47 pm with Monday being a holiday thank you for closing early. Roch brothers should have been my first choice my loss tonight you loss in the future.

That's not any help for someone waiting for disability and struggling as it is. I normally go to another store which I will not mention and I purchase all my items I had with me at Shaws no problem.

Another issue since I wasn't able to pat fir the rest of my items in my carriage it was taken away... not thinking on my end 3 12 packs of Snapple apple 1 12 pack of Snapple peach went rolling with the rest of my itemsvAND I PAID FOR THEM ALREADY... 44 BUCKS MIGHT I ADD.
RIDICULOUS... I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO RETRIEVE THEM...
BY NOW IM SURE ID BE denied. 44 bucks outrageous

listen. this is the nicest shaws ive ever been to in my life. like i wanted to stop and take pictures. the green produce looked greener than life itself. they had product i can’t find at my local shaws in large quantities. went during the days after christmas sale and let me tell you, they had that GOOD seasonal stuff on DISCOUNT! it was gorgeous in there. a whole nice sit down starbucks. id plan a proposal in that bakery section. i hope this community knows how good they’ve got it. this shaws emotionally saved me, for real.

I have recently switched to this store and drive two towns over to come here. This store is beautiful and very clean. The produce section is excellent. I also love the bakery where I buy my bread and bagels now. The bakery has a nice variety of items. I also buy items from the takeout section which are very good. The employees here are very nice and friendly. I have found that when I use the app and coupons that I save more money here than other stores I have shopped at. The sales here are excellent.

best shaws I've ever been to! their shelves were completely stocked, the cereal aisle was the best I've ever seen, so many choices, all the aisles were stocked with so many products. I highly recommend shopping at this Shaws location.

My daughter picked up some sirloin strip steak today in the Easton, Mass shaws butcher shop and i have to say they were the worst ever,they were real thin and after cooking them on the grill till they were cooked medium, The steak was tuff and had to be chewed for ever. I've gotten better sirloin strip steak off the shelf and that ain't saying much because they were not worth buying neither. we would of been better off at Big Y Butcher shop where there sirloin steak tips and strip steak are nice and thick,not thin and fatty looking. 20 dollars for 5 thin tuff strips of steak from shaws butcher shop,what a joke and waste of money because we had to throw most of it out. Some of the people of Easton are so much nicer than most of the people of Brockton. I was at this store and a beautiful young lady gave me a smile for no reason at all. Try to find that in the Brockton store. Not happening. She made my day. There were other polite people in this store too. But she stood out. Thank you Easton.

So I have been getting delivery of my groceries when I really don't want to go out....but I am so tired of the lousy shopping their employees do...I give notes they don't read them...give you sub par produce and old hamburger..I have returned so many things back it is not funny.i know I should do my own shopping and just be quite...but I like delivery services...but I think it's time to go to insta cart and shop Market basket or Truccis.

The staff is excellent and the store is clean, stocked and well kept. Unfortunately the town passed a possibly well intentioned but ridiculous and useless ban on plastic bags. There is now just short paper bags with no handles or you have to pay like 2 bucks a bag for thick plastic re-usable bags that can now be re-used. The new self checkout is good if you don't have a whole carriage full of stuff

I bumped into the owner of paint rust and pixie dust while in there. They have impeccable taste so, I know I came to the right place. I shopped for Italian 100% Lemon juice not from concentrate and they had it.

This location is well organized. Plenty of parking. Employees are often willing to help you out, you do have to ask.. 👍 you can get some good sales from time to time. Centrally located...

I have been shopping at Shaw's off and on for years. It's alright but I was not crazy about the choices for organic vegetables in produce. This stop was at a Shaw's in or around Maynard MA on a Sunday so that could be why choices were limited. The store was clean and employees were very helpful.
