I enjoy the upper level roof parking, the elevators have been reliable so far, and the customers are nicer and more polite than at other supermarkets. Another good aspect of Food Bazaar is that they have rather exceptional meat and poultry cuts. Very good chops and steaks. All and all they are the best supermarket in the area.

I genuinely enjoy doing my shopping at Food Bazaar. They truly have everything you need. I always talk about how I love their produce selection and the meats! Also love the fresh fish (they’ll bring in and chop up a fresh tuna and it’s truly amazing) you can’t go wrong ordering.

Service is also great. Each employee has the whole store mapped out in their minds and will
Be able to support you in finding what you need.

Be sure to download the app- I’ve saved tons of money by making sure I scan the app each time I’m there to get the rewards.

Shop here weekly because of the location and living nearby. Store has a great selection. After closure of Fairways, Food Bazaar continued with much of their selections. In addition because it’s Korean operated, there’s more Asian selections. Like many Korean markets, their beef is good however very expensive. Their produce and fruits can be hit or miss. The issue is their high prices, so you see less turnover. Once the produce and fruits becomes over ripen and going bad they start to lower the price but too late no one will buy that. They also slow their stock, certain produce and even non produce are always near expiration dates. Don’t know what they do with all that waste. They need to lower their produce/ fruit prices to compete better with the other grocery stores nearby which are Chinese owned operated but with lower prices and higher turnover so often ppl get fresher foods.
TL DR: great selection. High prices. Resulting in slower turnover and fewer fresh produce. Often foods, non produce close to expiration due to this.

So sad to see stores take steps backwards. For a higher end store, priced accordingly, they continue to cut corners on service quality. Fairways, the predecessor store at that location was THE place to go to for a variety of smoked salmon from around the world. Not only was their selection better than none, but their deli counter staff allowed to cut and serve the salmon was specially trained to do so. They were kind and competent like sushi chefs, it all was so worth the price and quality that you did not mind waiting 15 minutes for meticulously cut salmon (just to your liking). Well those days are gone folks. Expect poorly cut (and I mean thicker than you can chew) slices that you’re embarrassed to serve your family. And for those out there who think I am exaggerating, start with your local bagel place and triple the thickness. Yuck! I’m never giving these guys $50 for a pound of that again. Very unfortunate because they had a loyal clientele when they took over Fairways. That’s clearly gone and they probably don’t care. Out to increase margins without quality. Bye bye.

It was a terrible experience. I injured my hand, so I asked the cashier if I could borrow the scanner to scan the five gallons of milk in my cart. She told me that I should put them on the counter. In the end, I decided to lift them up. As I was leaving, she called her colleague over and they started chatting in Spanish and laughing right in front of me. I couldn’t understand what they were saying, but it made me feel really uncomfortable.

This place has become ridiculously expensive. A LIDL recently opened up in Glen Oaks, there is no longer a need to go to this supermarket. More than a handful of times the food i purchased was spoiled. All the produce and meat dept. workers in the back have a scowls on their faces and are not friendly. The security guard is the only one that greets me, he's cool. Also, they blocked the middle of the store so that you have to follow their traffic pattern of how to spend your money first. I don't appreciate that. I'm there to save time and shop quickly, let me go where i want to go. The cashiers don't help bag and you have to keep paying extra money for these giant Food Bazaar bags that nobody wants. I have like 30 freaking bags sitting in my house by now. Just train the workers to help bag the items like the old days and provide some free paper bags for our patronage. They will probably just give me some 1800 number to call... Unacceptable.

This food bazaar has hiked up their prices so much it’s cheaper to go to Whole Foods which is already considered pricey. Several dairy items I’ve found cheaper even in a NYC Whole Foods (that was a bit more than the Manhasset one, everything in the city is more expensive, but both cheaper than this food bazaar). Also, like another customer, multiple times I’ve been charged an incorrect price, so you have to be watch carefully as items are scanned.

I come here only for emergencies because of the variety of produce, but whenever I can I try to go to Food Bazaars in Suffolk. It’s sad because it wasn’t like this when they opened, they had fair pricing, and the story behind the woman who wanted to bring culturally diverse products from her country at fair pricing (nice story on website)… that is totally lost.

I caught on to this when a large $10 yogurt I wanted I only saw 1 left and it was expiring, so I asked if there was more, they couldn’t find it and said they would give it to me for $7, I decided to look for a fresh one elsewhere, and was shocked when I saw $7 is the typical price. I no longer see that product, and wonder if they weren’t selling because they charge not a couple of cents more but $3 more! Then I noticed several other products many of them are a whole extra $1 more- if it was only a few cents for convenience I’d probably still buy them, but at such unreasonably steep prices I’d rather make multiple stops at different stores.

I liked the Fairway, its predecessor, better. It's a pricey store alright, but availability of certain foods has been a problem. Quality of groceries has gone down quite a bit. Bad return policy. Every staff member, including the floor supervisor, is tight and you have to ask to see the big boss, who's usually not proficient in English. Beware of "Bait and Switch!" I'd take a picture of the items with the price tags...

Huge range of products to buy, but every single time I shop here I always face a problem with incorrect prices. They plaster yellow discount labels on so many products but only about 75% of them get honored at the register and the rest are secretly charged a rather overpriced amount.

I'm THOROUGHLY CONVINCED this place, and perhaps Food Bazaar stores in general, are looking to make a quick buck from people who get overcharged a couple of dollars every single time they shop here, thinking all of their products are rung up correctly at the register. Somebody should sue this franchise at some point to get them to stop doing this, but alas, I'm just one person.

Again, lots of things to buy here, but MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE PRICES OF WHAT YOU BUY, AND CALL OUT THE CASHIER WHEN SOMETHING SEEMS A LITTLE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN WHAT YOU REMEMBER.
