Came here for a celebratory birthday lunch for my husband and really enjoyed our meal.
The restaurant is absolutely stunning, with great window seats for people watching if you are into that.
Service was a little on the slow side which surprised us because they weren't too busy but our waitress was incredibly friendly so we didn't mind the long wait time too much especially since we weren't in a hurry.

Good ambiance, quite busy during a Thursday lunch, highly recommend reserving ahead.
There was a slight confusion on the restaurant week lunch menu where we thought dessert was included while it was a pick 2 courses out of 3 situation. but overall food was great (Salmon was especially good), mocktail was amazing and staff was attentive, even noted my lactose intolerance from the reservation.

Last night, after a long workday, I decided to treat myself to dinner at one of my favorite spots, Point Seven. This place never disappoints, and it was just what I needed to unwind.
As usual, I couldn’t resist ordering the shrimp with garlic in oil and toasted bread—it’s a must-have every time I visit. This time, I decided to try something new and added the homemade focaccia bread with white bean hummus and the fish fritters to my meal. Everything was absolutely delicious.
I’m not very knowledgeable about wine, so I took the waiter’s recommendation and went with a crisp glass of white wine. It paired perfectly with my meal, enhancing the flavors beautifully.
What truly made the evening special was the exceptional service. Jonathan, the manager, saw me chatting with the waiter outside and promptly came over to welcome me and guide me to my table. This personal touch made me feel valued and added a warm, welcoming vibe to the whole experience.
Point Seven’s food and staff provided the perfect ending to my long day. I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a great meal and outstanding service.

I recently visited Point Seven with a party of 12, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious each dish was well prepared, fresh, and bursting with flavor. The restaurant itself is stunning, with a beautiful ambiance that made the meal even more enjoyable. Despite our large group, the service was seamless. The manager, Miguel, was amazing, ensuring everything ran smoothly and that we were well taken care of. Everyone in our group loved the experience, and we were all impressed with how well the staff handled our party. I highly recommend this place for great food, exceptional service, and a gorgeous setting. Can’t wait to go back!

Nice place for after work snack and drinks. The presentation of the fritto misto is quite creative. Small bar menu though and mostly fried snacks.
Would recommend the bar staff not telling customers that it was all self service, ordering drink and food. If that’s the case, there would be no need for gratuity. The busing staff was super courtesy and helpful professional. They are gratuity worthy.

Excellent dinner last night. The unrolled spicy tuna and swordfish al pastor were both very excellent. The restaurant is beautiful with great decor and friendly service. Great cocktails, too! Highly, highly recommended - especially for this area.

What a magical experience I had here. Every dish we ordered was divine and the cocktails were tasty! The serving staff was attentive to our table and the classy ambience all added to my positive experience. They have a bar, so you can come in just for drinks too. I highly recommend ordering the unrolled spicy tuna sushi and ceviche as they were my favorite but everything truly was delicious. Thank you Chef Alfonso and Point Seven staff for a memorable dinner experience. Until next time!

Solid experience with point 7, the name comes from 70% of the earth being covered by water. Located in the MetLife Tower, they have a recipe focused on seafood and a couple of fun different names for the dishes. I actually tried the burger here which was good, brioche bun and the well done meat was still very juicy. Not so much a fan of the fries but the focaccia bread was good, as was the salad.

Dined here for the New Year's pre-fixe dinner. The service was amazing and the restaurant is beautiful. Even the non-seafood dishes like the striploin were delicious. The manager was extremely sweet too, all-in-all a great dining dining experience!

Point Seven is a seafood spot that totally delivered—especially on a rainy day like this one.
We kicked things off with drinks: the Lost at Sea in a super cute octopus mug (love a fun presentation) and the Desert Island with mezcal, which was warm, smoky, and perfect for the weather.
The food was top-notch. The tuna tostada was fresh and flavorful, the oysters were ice-cold and briny, and the wild shrimp cocktail came with two killer sauces—classic cocktail and a tangy mustard. The 1/4 pound of king crab cocktail was salty in the best way possible, and we combined it all with glasses of crisp Sancerre Lucien Crochet '23.
Since it was Elliott’s birthday, the team surprised us with a chocolate dessert featuring a beet shell—super unique and absolutely delicious.
The service was excellent—friendly, knowledgeable, and on point with their recommendations. Point Seven is definitely one of those places we’ll be coming back regularly.

Never again and do not recommend. Despite having a reservation, I was made to wait 25 minutes to be seated past my 7pm reservation, which was extremely frustrating. I should’ve left at that point, and I still regret not doing so.
When I mentioned that I had been waiting for over 20 minutes and asked how much longer it would be, one of the hosts at the front responded with a dismissive and rude comment, saying, "Don't put your frustration on me." This was not only unprofessional but also completely unnecessary, especially considering I had been waiting beyond my reservation time. It felt arrogant and disrespectful, and it certainly soured my experience.
As for the food and service, they were average at best—nothing special that you couldn’t get at any other restaurant.

Came here for a work dinner. The food was pretty good and the quality of food was good. The portion sizes were a little small but that’s to be expected for a seafood restaurant. I got the scallops, shrimp fried rice, and Brussel sprouts. I only wish the restaurant is they had more items at different price points. $24 for some buttered lettuce is wild.

I am extremely disappointed with the service my wife and her friends received at Point Seven restaurant on August 17th while celebrating her birthday. What was supposed to be a joyful evening turned into a frustrating experience due to the appalling behavior of the staff.
The service was beyond unacceptable—rude, arrogant, and dismissive. When one of her friends simply asked if they serve coffee, the manager responded in the most condescending manner, saying, "This is a dining restaurant; if you want coffee, go to Starbucks." Such a comment is not only unprofessional but outright disrespectful. It’s shocking that someone with such an attitude is working in the service industry.
I would strongly advise anyone considering this place to look elsewhere. The way they treat their customers is disgraceful, and no one should have to put up with this kind of behavior, especially during a special occasion.

Good ambiance for lunch but not impressed by the service. No flexibility for even minor requests or adjustments. Like other reviews have noted portion sizes are ridiculously small. $42 for fish and it was the tiniest portion I have ever seen. Tapas size. My two year old could have finished it and still been hungry. Not great value for money at all and the food is nothing to write home about. Not coming back.

Vibe was good—though a bit loud for my old lady ears—and service was great! Not sure if this is an overall NYC thing or just the price of ingredients these days, but everything was about 10-20% higher than I would have preferred (and I don’t mind spending $$$ on high quality food). Would recommend for a happy hour group date.

One star for the absolute failure in service for dinner tab of over $1500. This work dinner had 8 of us ordering food in sync and my main meal never arrived. Three sets of people came out to look at my empty setting to confirm I didn't receive my order, and then a long while later, the harried waiter looked annoyed and came out to explain there is a mixed up. I asked the rest of the group to start. Then a manager, a tall woman with a stone cold face came with a salmon dish which wasn't what I ordered, told me that this is for me to have now.
No apologies offered. She didn't realize I was the one paying the bill.
Ten minutes later, the tile fish, which was what I ordered but the order was messed up, finally showed up. By then we pretty much moved on to desert.
I didn't receive any apologies which in any other restaurant would have been a norm. This is particularly inconvenient in a group setting.
So I would vote "never again" to this venue for any corporate dining, because service is as much part of the experience as food.

A great find near Grand Central but quiet enough inside away from the hustle. Finally fresh fish from the Atlantic where we live instead of 1000 miles away on a factory farm. Both the Grilled Octopus with chickpeas and Swordfish entree were excellent quality. Portions are on the dainty side, but clean and a nice option to other places dousing food in oil or salt. Do yourself a favor and get the mashed potatoes. Bartenders Paco and Al were lovely to chat with. Order off the drink menu a Hemingway Daquiri. Paco makes it on point. The Pilsner local beer on the menu is also excellent. A refreshing NY experience. Thank you.

I stumbled upon Point Seven and I’m glad that I did. Since I was only in mood for snacks, I sat at the bar.
Service was great, very attentive…and the drinks. Wow. Such great detail — love a great cocktail. I ordered:
• Lost At Sea (cocktail) - 10/10
• 1/2 dozen East Coast oysters - 9/10 (they were very good, I’m pretty sure the WC oysters are a 10/10)
• Cod Croquetas - 8/10
Great place to bring friends to for dinner/drinks. Music selection was great (dk if the bartender had anything to do with that but the vibes were going, in a grown way)

A stylish, elevated and date-appropriate place (also perfect for nice after-work drinks, lots of good looking people from midtown finance). The bar area is really spacious with a lot of counter seating and there are also 4-6 tables for 2-3 persons. Not tool loud so you an really have a conversation. The decor is modern and tasteful. There is also a spacious dining room in the back, which was quite empty (7pm on Monday).
Prices are average for the area, but I wish they had drinks happy hour (we were told it is half price only for bar food). I want to be back for a dinner now.
