Glazed & Amused

Went with sister and (young adult) nieces. We had a great time picking out our pieces and then painting them. A lot of ceramics and paints to choose from. There was an area in the back for parties as well, and it looked like a kids' birthday party was going on, but it was a separate area, so it was pretty quiet for us. Seemed like those kids were having a great time too!

I came here having no idea what to do and not considering myself artistic, but with the help of the employees they have taught me techniques and skills and gave me confidence and explained everything thoroughly. It is nice and relaxing and I have painted multiple pieces and have given them as gifts. Every time I come in they tell me I’m getting better and better. I started from being confused and overwhelmed to being confident. I have painted multiple mugs, magnets and tiles for a good price, a good environment, and they are ready fast. 5 out of 5 stars every time!

So it was my girlfriends night to pick the place to go. She decided that she wanted to paint pottery. I couldn't say no seeing how she sat and watched all 13 star trek movies with me last weekend. I wasn't looking forward to it. But...to be honest? I had a great time! I felt like Rembrandt as I stroked my brush across the little white statue of that cute little turtle who I later named Mr Wellington. I love that turtle and now my girlfriend loves me even more! Thank goodness because this weekend is the Rocky marathon and I hate watching the Italian stallion alone!

Me and my daughter have been coming here since she was very little, we love it, we come often and always enjoy our experience. Great place to spend 4 hours just sitting at a table with your kid, paint brushes in hand eliminating the ability to text and providing the perfect experience to have long conversations with anyone who you appreciate the opportunity to spend one on one time talking to. Or on the rare occasion will both wear headphones and have a nice quiet time meeting, either way it's always relaxing and fun. I advise you to bring your own paint brushes as their's are very low quality and can make your painting experience a little frustrating. We always just grab a bag full of our own paint brushes from the house and bring them with us. It's a little pricey but I've never left having regretted my time there.

I took my daughters here for a mom-daughter outing and we had a great time. We planned to be there for about 2 hours and it ended up being the entire afternoon. They have a large selection of pottery and lovely extensive range of paints, it's hard to decide what you'd like to create. The prices ranged from about $10 for a small piece up to $100 (or more if you wanted to spend that much). I'd say the average prices ranged between $30 - $50. Once you've purchased your pottery item, you paint it and they send it off to be fired. All paint, brushes etc are included in the price and you are able to collect your finished pieces a few days later. The staff were great and always willing to help or offer suggestions. Very enjoyable afternoon.

Went in for some replacement lights. From the young lady on the phone to interacting with her in the shop, very well done. She has the perfect attitude and aura for being in retail. Thanks again. The shop was busy with crafters, great !!

Staff yelled at our children at a birthday party, and then the manager lied about the situation. We will not be returning. The staff should have addressed the mother who was having the party rather than yelling at other people's children. Horrible place to visit

Myself and the kids love this place. Friendly and helpful staff. The hardest part is picking out what we want to paint. There's so many choices! They run specials as well so check back regularly for a deal!

What a unique experience, takes me back to my grade school days in art class. You get to pick out whatever piece you want, paint it the colors you want, they fire it for you, you come back in a few days and pick your finished piece up.

Can be expensive depending on what pieces you choose to paint, but it’s worth it! It’s so fun & even relaxing. The best part is picking your piece up and seeing it after it’s been fired!

Went for a birthday party, very nicely done! Place was clean and very organized! Soo much to choose from to paint! Make sure you walk the whole place before you pick. I missed a whole shelf and have a bit of remorse 🤣🤣🤣

We decided to book a private party before normal business hours so we would have the entire venue to ourselves. Best decision ever. The staff was amazing and super helpful. All of the kids had a great time, and there was plenty of room for everyone to paint and move freely with zero issues. We were allowed to bring in outside food, and chose to not bring in anything greasy. So we had fruit, cake, and cupcakes to snack on. The venue was clean and well maintained with a great selection of ceramics to chose from. I would absolutely recommend this venue for a party, gathering, private event. We will definitely be back.

Pleasant atmosphere. Staff weren't exactly warm, but they were very helpful and did a fine job of explaining the process. $7-$9 for the most inexpensive items to paint which were things like Christmas Ornaments or similar size, up to $50 and above for larger items. Plenty of fun items to choose from!

I like this place a lot however it is very very expensive and I feel like only something that van be done as a special occasion once in awhile. I think having more affordable options would be fabulous!

A really fun experience for the whole family! You don't have to be artistic or a talented painter just have an imagination. Not the cheapest hobby, but the personal investment makes it worthwhile. The staff was very friendly and helpful! A must try at least once!

This was a nice time with my 13 year old daughter who loves art! A bit pricey, but with the price of everything nowadays, I suppose it's not that bad. We spent 80 bucks and enjoyed a nice atmosphere and painting the night away. Friendly staff who was very helpful. Can't wait to get our pieces back in 4 days!

Neat place to visit with children , but there is a pottery place 20 minutes away that has so many more pottery options and other things to do (Hot Pots). Glazed and Amused is small and doesn't have too many options. I hate to compare businesses, but I recommend Hot Pots over this place.

Brought my daughter here over spring break and she had a wonderful time. There are so many things to choose from, both to paint and the colors to paint with. The time between painting and pick up is only a few days and the finished product is wonderful. The owner and staff are amazingly helpful and make the visit very friendly. Worth every penny. We plan to make many more visits.

This is a wonderful place to create gifts for friends and family. The staff is always welcoming, inviting, and here to help! You can even print off designs online and trace onto a piece. The turn around time is only 4 days to where you can pick up your completed item.

While I don’t come here super often, whenever I walk in I am greeted by their wonderful employees. It is always worth The visit and I end up spending hours at a time here. Although it seems a bit pricey, it’s definitely worth it because they include a large selection of paints and brushes you can use along with a piece of pottery to paint. Definitely would recommend it for anyone looking for a fun relaxing activity.

I was here for a group outing of about 15 people. There was plenty of room and so many choices at good prices. We worked with hailey, who was wonderful. She gave a lesson on the paints, stencils, etc and had a good sense of humor about it. It wasn't a monotone don't do this, don't do that kind of thing. She then answered all of our questions about the pottery and tips for the painting. She went as far as helping someone who was struggling and asked if she could help him with a few parts. I felt like she was laughing and having fun with us. Everyone said they had a great time and quite a few can't wait to go back on their own with their families.

I could write forever about how amazing glazed and amused it. Its family, friend and date night friendly. The people who work there are so awesome and helpful. All of the ladies are kind, but i go there when Haley and/or Jilly are there. I have met some of the others who are kind and the newer girl named Emma is so supportive! You walk in and are instantly welcomed, you pick your piece and they help you with the rest. Never hesitate to ask these ladies anything!

A paint-it-yourself pottery store with an absolutely great selection of pottery to choose from. All the colors and glazes you could hope for and all for reasonable prices. Young and old will enjoy themselves. The staff is also very helpful. Highly recommend.

Went on a date there and I really enjoyed myself. Might have been the girl I went with being the reason why I enjoyed it so much 👍 but it was just a nice setup w very friendly employees and a laid back atmosphere. Had a good time and made a coffee mug for my mom for mother's day! Recommend it to any dude that wants to take a girl on a date.. her idea, but I'm glad we did it 😁🤘

I loved this place! What you pay depends on the piece you paint, which ia great when you're looking for a cheap and cool date. Paid 45$ and we painted a huge vase and a mug! We will return, and soon!

This is a great place to go with family or friends! Getting to paint your own pottery is a fun and creative experience. Give yourself some time when planning a trip, you want to be able to enjoy everything from selecting your piece and paint colors to paining. I wouldn't suggest bringing a lot of bags or jackets though as there is not a large amount of extra space.

Well, this place WAS great, until we picked up our pieces and got them home to find that the $50 clock we made doesn't work, which is fine, things happen. What is not fine however is being spoken to like I'm stupid and told I'm SOL when I call to request a replacement movement mechanism. We had planned to return, but will not be now. What a waste of $! So upset!

Fun place to paint stuff. The room is a bit small, and it takes about 3 buisness days to pick up your stuff that you painted. Fun for kids to.. just not really little, I say 5 or 6 and up.

A little busy when we visited and it took the lady a good minute to check on us, but she seemed to be the only one working at the time, so no big deal. Prices were quite a bit more than I remembered from last time, but that didn't stop us. Great selections of items to work with. Items ready for pickup right on time!

Located in Market Place at Washington Square. Greenware to finish. Lots of choices in greens are, lots of paint, nice writing choices. A small party room for about 10-12 people for groups. It's a little expensive, $6 for a tile, $14 for a small figure. Very nice and informative staff. Plenty of parking. Good experience for my grandaughter.
