Walmart

Walked in and immediately got followed by four assistants. After shopping for ten minutes me ( the only black one)and my 3 friends, were told to put the toys down- in the toy isle- and then were told to without warning. Sam ( the employees name) told us she would personally escort us, as soon as I “acted a nuisance”. While walking out, to buy what we had at hand, we were continually followed, caught staring at us multiple times. For preference, we not dressed or acted suspicious in the slightest and gave no reason that we should steal. Worst experience, had to stop shopping before we were finished. Sam should reflect on this experience as it made four people incredibly uncomfortable, and felt targeted for unjustifiable reasons. Get a grip, we are all adults, and we should be treated as such.

My friends and I went shopping in the toy and game section tonight. We were constantly followed around and watched by the employees there. One approached me to ask if I was planning to purchase the items in my hand. My friends were harassed by one of the employees and called nuisances. It felt incredibly uncomfortable, and we left before we finished our shopping. We bought the things we had on our person, but only because we didn’t want to justify their suspicions of us stealing. The employees are named Sam and Dan, so if you find yourself looking to shop for toys or games, don’t spend too long in that section, or they might think you are stealing.

They also followed us all the way to the check out, which deterred us from stopping by the makeup section, despite my friends going just to purchase mascara and other items for new years.

I usually come to this location at 6:20 am. Since I've been coming here Today I can only recall one person at the self check out without me saying it 1st. She is so bright and it brightens my day. If I had her name I would shout it out. You never know what people are going through. She is awesome! God bless her!

This was the cleanest, most organized Walmart I’ve ever been to. And I’ve been to many in my years. Staff was polite especially Wanda our cashier. I would travel the additional 20 minutes to this Walmart in North Canton then go to the one less than a mile from my house. I was super impressed.

Never going back when there are other Walmarts near by. Take your business to Arlington road because this place sucks.

This walmart isn't a supercenter however it was adequately stocked given the amt of shelf space they had available. Parking is good and for semi trucks there's room next door at both the Cinemax and Lowes. Otherwise nothing bad to say here

This "Walmart" is like a throwback to the early '70s stores. Actually I believe there was more of a variety back then. It's Not a real Walmart. Certainly Not a "Superstore" in the least. Basically it's a dry goods store with a few, very few, isles of food. Tiny selection. No fresh Meats, Veggies, Fruits ect... The parking lot is extremely Anti-Truck parking. Even to just go inside and get a couple groceries, of which THIS location had Very Few in the first place. Shame. I guess Canton Ohio forgets Exactly what/Who delivers EVERY SINGLE THING they sell and/or use IS in fact Delivered By Trucks!
Lastly, the employees are mostly rude.

The employees are friendly, and the store was clean. The reason I gave 4 stars is because they don't have a deli. Other than that, it was a great experience.

Customer service girl had on a mask and gloves and looked like a sad walking horror movie... not sure if she was preparing for another round of covid or falling for the bird flu, but I LOATHE talking to people dressed this stupid. It's total brainwashing at its finest and it has to stop before we lose our humanity and become a new breed of species altogether - the fear to breathe and live freely species. Remember, dirt and germs don't hurt. You're literally KILLING your immune system and going to be sick for the rest of your life if you don't take your mask off and remember how fresh air and the freedom not to live in constant fear of your fellow human KIND used to smell. total insanity and these are the kind of people they have working at the ever pretentious north canton walmart 🙄

Very nice people work here! Anytime I stopped an associate with a question, each one of them was kind, friendly and so helpful! (And I was shopping late the night before Thanksgiving). Such great people! Nice variety of goods and great prices too!

I would leave no stars if I could. I would NEVER recommend this Walmart. The team leads harass their employees, the coaches do NOTHING to stop it, and they fire their good workers while keeping the ones who are in the wrong.

This is the oldest. and first Walmart to be built in the area. It serves as an anchor store of the primary "The Strip" shopping district and stays pretty busy in spite of being on top of so many other competing options. It is not easily connected to any of the sidewalks or pathways to the other stores. It would be nice if they at least boosted the quality of the crosswalks. It would make the whole experience of making an afternoon of taking advantage of the variety and concentration of stores more safe and walkable. By virtue of its age, it is not a supercenter. This means limited food offerings. In my book, that makes this 2nd tier choice for I 'need to go to walmart' for something instances because their selection is more limited.

Sometimes it's nice and evokes more of a overly-large drugstore vibe than that of a superstore.

Once upon a time, there was a restaurant in the front of the store. Now, it hosts their order fulfillment department.

They have a big corral of do-it-yourself checkouts and never have more than 4 or 5 human employee lanes open. Because of this, lines are sporadically running some 10-15 people deep and take a decent chunk of time to stand in. If I were in a hurry then this would not be my first draft pick.

PROTIP✅️ for getting out more quickly when Im only grabbing one or two ways I'll cash out at the electronics department. That line only gets backed up around the holidays.

Like all stores that were able to get away with it, they have retained covid era tightened closing time. I cant tell you how many times I've tried to roll up being trained on the 24 hour model for a decade or more before. Bring back the night. Night owls need stuff too! 🙂

Hello, I am a current hobby horser, which is a sport where we combine gymnastics elements into riding stick horses. I went into my local walmart looking for a new horse, my recent horse retired. A fellow worker asked me to leave politely, while I was testing out a new horse. Very nice walmart so sad to see myself leave! My passion was slightly diminished , but I will get back up again! Stay woke walmart please do better!
