Stella Nova Coffee

Used to be my favorite coffee spot but now all the drinks are consistently way too sweet with way too much cream and no coffee at all. Their coffee and espresso are incredibly weak to the point I got an iced latte and it was just the color of milk. It’s been this way for a year or so now and we keep hoping it’ll get better but the prices keep going up while the coffee just gets weaker and sweeter.

First time here, met for a meeting, had 2 drinks, husband didn't care for the caramel machiotto, I tried it, caramel part was good just not enough coffee flavor, the strawberry acai with coconut milk was good but not enough flavor. A fly did fly into it but they replaced it free. It was easy to talk in there bathroom was clean

Upon my recent visit to StellaNova Coffee Shop, I found myself underwhelmed by the overall experience. The establishment, which seems to be yet another addition to the growing list of overpriced coffee houses, left a lot to be desired.

I ordered a berry tea, anticipating a vibrant and refreshing taste. Unfortunately, the tea was remarkably bland, lacking the robust berry flavors I expected. This was a significant letdown, especially for a beverage that should have been a highlight.

The shop also fell short in terms of its food offerings. The display case, which one would assume should be filled with an array of pastries and baked goods, stood conspicuously empty. This absence of treats was not only disappointing but also detracted from the overall ambiance of a coffee shop.

Interactions with the staff did little to improve my experience. Instead of being helpful and welcoming, I found them to be more confusing than assistive. This lack of clear communication and customer service proficiency significantly diminished the quality of service.

The physical space of StellaNova also contributed to the lackluster experience. Described best as cold and overly open, it strayed far from the cozy, inviting atmosphere one typically seeks in a coffee shop. The environment felt more suited to a quick grab-and-go rather than a place to relax and savor a coffee or tea.

Overall, my visit to StellaNova Coffee Shop was quite disappointing. The combination of mediocre beverages, lack of food options, confusing service, and an unwelcoming atmosphere makes it unlikely that I would return or recommend it to others. This coffee shop seems to miss the mark on what makes a café experience enjoyable and memorable.

As an avid coffee drinker, and coffee shop enthusiast, I frequent many local coffee shops in the metro, Moore, and Norman area. I’ve always been fond of Norman coffee shops, and today my husband and I tried Stella Nova- my first time going to that establishment. I ordered a large maple-marshmallow iced latte with almond milk, while my husband ordered a large milk tea with honey and lavender. The service was absolutely exquisite, and my latte had a perfect coffee, syrup, and milk ratio- with a really lovely aftertaste of their espresso. They mistaken my husband’s order for a green tea latte, but were more than happy to fix it- free of charge. Stella Nova in Norman will definitely be on my list of favorite coffee shops in the area, and I highly suggest visiting if you’re desiring a quality, local coffee shop!

So keep my dollar, I won't be back and I'll let everyone know how Stella this place really is.

Even the bathroom is a lovely experience! I've only been here 3 times but they're so friendly and I love the atmosphere. Definitely check them out. If you're unsure about a drink, ask. They once told me to try my drink and if it wasn't sweet enough they'd give me another pump of peppermint. It was delicious!

Stella Nova has some of the best coffee in Norman. The service is always top notch, especially through the drive-thru. I’ve never had a bad coffee here. The chocolate chip cookies are also out of this world. If you’re looking for a good cup of Joe, try and English Toffee latte.

November 19th a.m.,Has to be the worst latte i ever had, taste like hot water.no coffee flavor, no foam, $5 wasted and this happened 6 months ago, so you guys cant do it. Done...back to Starbucks.

best coffee in Norman with a menu that always offers something new and exciting to try. spacious cafe and spotless facilities. breakfast, baked goods, and a few lunch items are available if you ve got an appetite. This is my new favorite coffee shop. The cold coffees are actually cold. Far better quality coffee than Starbucks, and staff seemed much more clean and professional.

Ive been going to StellNova for 3 years ordering the Cheese Danish, as its by far the best cheese Danishes around. I have recommended numerous friends and family to go there strictly for the cheese danishes. I went to the Stella Nova in Norman and was advised the cheese Danishes were discontinued. Unbelievable and shocking. Anyhow I formally request for the Cheese Danishes to be put back in the store. Strange Didnt receive any response from management. This supports StellaNova does not care about their customers. So I just changed service to one stars, as it doesnt go any lower.

This is a great coffee shop. I love the iced vanilla latte and they always have good muffin and pastry options. They also serve breakfast sandwiches and a few wraps. I really enjoy the atmosphere and it has more space than most other coffee places.

Update January 2024: Theyre still not filing coffee cups. I just added a new picture, its the one without whipped cream. I also tried to order a cheese Danish but they were sold out. I tried to order a sausage breakfast wrap but they were sold out. I settled for just the coffee and they couldnt be bothered to even fill it up. They also handed me a clover debit card reader and left me to hold it until they finished my drink. I really cannot stress enough how bad this place is. Go literally anywhere else. Update: I gave them yet another chance and the tipping situation has gotten worse. They handed me the clipboard to sign my receipt, PURELY JUST TO GET ME TO TIP and then walked away for like 5 minutes while they made my order. They made me sit there holding a clipboard for the express purpose of making me tip. At this point Id literally rather go to Scooters or Starbucks. The lengths this place will go to just to pressure you into tipping is atrocious. Im done giving them chances. This place does not make me feel good when I leave. It makes me feel pressured to give employees tips, regardless of how I feel about their service. It makes me feel like Im the jerk when I dont want to make my $6 latte a $7 latte for absolutely no reason whatsoever. I hate this place. My last review is below vvv I m changing my review from 5 stars to 2. Over time, this place has really just gotten progressively worse. They are VERY pushy about tipping. So much so that they will flat out ask you to your face to leave a tip, before you even get your drink. If you pay with a card in the drive thru, they will ask you to sign a receipt just to nudge you in to tipping. I understand that tipping is a thing in the US but we certainly don t pressure customers into it. It is extremely off putting to feel direct pressure from a restaurant to tip. IT S NOT OUR JOB TO PAY YOUR EMPLOYEES. They also regularly do not make our drinks right. By default they make their drinks way too sweet so we order them with half flavor. That request is usually flat out ignored. Their black coffee is also very hit or miss. Sometimes it s really good and sometimes it tastes like ash. Today, I ordered a large mocha and it was only like 75% full. I ve attached an image and this is within 60 seconds of being handed the drink so it did not have time to deflate. I just hate interacting with this place. When they do good, it s really good. Probably the best you can get in Norman. But man, I m so tired of wasting $6 on a single cup of coffee. I m not coming back. Im leaving 2 stars instead of 1 because sometimes they can actually make a decent cup of coffee. But man its just not worth gambling my time and money hoping they get it right.

One of my top go to local spots! I am obsessed with their lattes, iced & hot. Always using the drive through, the staff is friendly. Quick to offer a pup cup. Love coming here for a quick coffee pick me up.

The scone tasted like it was bought at a Sams Club or CostCo. The latte I ordered tasted like regular coffee from a pot with some milk poured in which is something I could have done at home. My least favorite part about my experience was being asked to tip through the drive thru. Pay your employees better and increase the price of my food to offset your low wages. I dont mind paying a little more if I dont have to deal with being guilted to tip someone for handing me a coffee through a window.

Not for me. Cold brew tastes off and overly sweet. I don t love the cups and don t like the mouth on the lids - the ergonomics are off. Bagel was chewy. I like Starbucks and Dutch Bros. Maybe this is just a dif style and you will like it though!

Hi there - I like Stella Nova coffees, bagels, and the environment. And I think that the space is really clean. I often visit with the customers and provide them with tips/guidance on careers etc.. Many of these customers are students. I was a former grad student in Norman, Oklahoma for approx. 3 years, however I have fallen on some hard times. And I have had to live out of my vehicle for about a week... This has put me in a dire set of circumstances. Along these lines, I sometimes sleep in parking lots. Well whenever I walked in, on this morning, the manager suggested that I was no longer invited in the store. Im complaining about this here, because I believe that Im somewhat of a standup type of guy. I make purchases and I often leave tips etc... Parking: Parking is fairly accessible. J

As a business owner, I understand there will be times we come up short or miss the mark, but the way we handle these situations shows just how dedicated we are to customer service and satisfaction. Ive been going to SN pretty consistently(honestly, too much) since I moved to Norman a year ago. I have a shaken expresso problem! About 3 weeks ago, the prices for my drinks that I ordered daily started fluctuating(up not down). I would tell the person at the window that I always pay this amount and something was off. They would always apologize and kindly correct the price. Even some days, refund the entire purchase and give the drinks to me for free. But the issue still continued, and I started feeling like that nagging customer complaining about price. Finally, I spoke with one of the managers and said that this was happening every other day and was trying to figure out was this my error in ordering or theirs. She assured me that it was their mistake and they would have a staff meeting. Uh huh, Im sure a staff meeting for this issue for one customer. I came in a couple of days later and ordered, and the price was right. Then, the next day, I tried the drive-thru and walked in just to test it. At least 4 different employees asked me on separate occasions if the issue had been resolved for me. THEY REALLY HAD A STAFF MEETING, THEY REALLY DID WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO! ALL businesses are going to make mistakes, but GREAT businesses learn from them, and this is one of them. Bravo!!

Glad they were open on Christmas eve. We had a group (10). Found comfortable place to sit, server was competent but not overly friendly or helpful. Atmosphere was pleasant. Weird that they made all our drinks except one, then got busy with the drive-through & we had to ask twice to get that drink. Also strange that they were always out of coffee & we had to wait for more to be made each time someone needed a refill. Maybe they only make a couple of cups at a time? Would go here again, but it wouldnt be my first choice.

The good: Friendly staff, clean and spacious bathrooms, open and modern feel, ambient smells aren t too strong (coffee, food, etc). The bad: The coffee is genuinely terrible. I have tried: - Black coffee, blonde roast - Shaken espresso - Iced latte, unflavored The only one that I finished was the shaken espresso, and it was only decent. The drip coffee reminded me of chicken broth and the latte had an odd flavor that I couldn t place. I have given it enough chances that I will not go again. The seating is uncomfortable. Zero chairs are ergonomic and the couches are too deep. As someone with a bad back, this is a big deal. There are tables with stools that swing out, but they are canted to the side.

One of my favorite coffee shops! The options are great, and the high ceilings make it feel so spacious. I wish there were more seating options for tall people, definitely have to crouch to use any of the seating/desk options. Location is great too super convenient.

Had a wonderful decaf almond lavender iced latte made with Miracle Mylk, it was absolutely delicious! Vegetarian options: They have a vegan breakfast wrap containing tofu, bell peppers and onions, its comes with a side of salsa. Dietary restrictions: Have several milk alternative options and offer decaf espresso. Parking: Accessible parking on most sides of building. Drive thru on West side of building.

Went through drive-thru. Ordered a Mint Chocolate Frappe, a White Mocha Frappe, a Caramel Frappe, a Cronut, a Blueberry Scone, & a Lemon Poppyseed Muffin. They warmed up the food items. I sampled everything & everything was on point.

The service is always decent but I have been served iced coffee with espresso as cold brew multiple times. Its not that hard to just tell me your out of cold brew and take my order at the window, this stuff is disgusting.(Ive been a barista, its a known lazy practice bc it may require a refund at the drive-thru, and I over heard a comment over the headset about it that I gave the benefit of doubt bc I was in a hurry).

This is a fantastic place for some tasty food and beverages! I think they have the best cinnamon rolls I have had so far. The staff was patient with the big order I had to give them and very friendly. I will definitely be back another day.

Really great coffee and so much better than Starbucks!! Friendly staff!! And slightly cheaper than Starbucks. They also have way more flavor syrups as well as drink and food choices.

I just recently was able to try this for the first time today! And Im not disappointed, I got the chocolate chip frappe and it was absolutely delicious. The size of the drive was perfect! The person running the drive thru as well was very kind and personable. Definitely will be back hopefully because its always do busy on my way to work! Thank you so much!

Absolutely love this place worth skipping the Starbucks and coming here. No more expensive and much better , staff interaction is friendly and quick good attitudes and better coffe. 10 out of 10 of youre here try something out, the pumpkin spice one is great , best whip cream. They may not have a million things but they dont need it because they what they have is on point every time, consistently happy here , been atleast 50 times and not once was I disappointed .

Stella Nova coffee is my wife s and mine favorite coffee shop. The folks here are extremely friendly! The atmosphere here is great, also for the college student it is set up to study. The blueberry scone was amazing, so are the brownie bites!

I ve had some 5 star visits in the past, but today my order was pretty terrible. My regular hot mocha was a white mocha. It was correct on the order sticker, so the girl who took my order wasn t at fault. I guess the barista who made it wasn t paying attention. Not sure if it was good or not, as I find all white mochas too milky. Also, my spinach pastry was raw on the bottom, gummy to the point that it was mostly inedible. I m sure I could ve turned around, run into the store and they d have fixed the issues, but I just didn t have the time today. Hoping it was just an off-day and this isn t a sign that it s going downhill. Edit: Great service lately!

Great staff! Friendly and fun to be around. Very light and happy environment to be in. I did, however, purchase a turkey wrap that was a day past its pull date. The lettuce was literally rotten, slimy, and brown. They did replace it for me with something from the bakery section. That would be my advise, buy baked goods and made to order as I have never had an issue with those things. Keep up the great work, folks.

Drive thru is the best takes the time to drive to the window but if you come in store service takes about 15 mins for an xl iced coffee.

It was the cutest little coffee shop, the smell when walking in absolutely amazing and the sweetest barista. Will definitely be going back! And the coffee was amazing, my husband got an Iced Mocha Latte and I got a Carmel Frappe!

I like the location easy in and out. Layout is nice and open. I got a breve and it was just that. I also got a turkey panini which was just meh. Staff was nice.

I got an iced coffee. It was okay. Not many keto friendly options and it was i had to ask a million questions to see what was sugar free. When i finally figured it out i only had one option a hazelnut ice coffee.

We have had coffee in 48 of the 50 states and this place ranks right up there at the top. GREAT COFFEE!! The Lattes are amazing. Very much worth pulling off I-35 if you are tired or hitting this spot the morning of an OU game. Super clean and very nice staff.
