I often shop at this location and love it, but they have the most rude person working at the cafeteria. She is not equipped to deal with customers. She screams at them and has no patience to take their orders. She even fights with her team in front of Customers.
Zero Customer Service, I understand that it is hard to hire people in this market, but we should also be careful of who represents your Brand.

What's up with the rotisserie chicken? Every time I shop in Sam's the rotisserie chicken is not ready. We spend too much money in Sam's to walk out without a rotisserie chicken. When the chicken is ready it takes the employees forever to put it together .

This is not the best Sam's. Customer service is lacking. The rotisserie case is empty. The Cafe requires you to use Sam's application if you want to place an order. I'm glad that I'm just visiting the area and have a better Sam's near my home.

This is a great location. It's clean and everything's easy to find. I had a particularly good experience in the auto department and with Frankie from the food court... great service !!! It's perfect if you're from out of town and just stocking up an Airbnb or if you're a local and just needing the essentials for home or a party.

I had a terrible experience at Sam’s Club recently that left me feeling disrespected and frustrated. While checking out, the wine I purchased was accidentally scanned twice. I asked for help, and Danielle, an employee, questioned whether I was the account holder. I explained that the membership was under my partner’s name because he signed up for it, but I always use it to shop for groceries. I even admitted that I didn’t know I could get an additional card under my name as part of the same membership, which could have been explained to me more clearly.

Danielle then called the manager, whose name might have been Caroline. When I explained my situation, Caroline started loudly accusing me of not following the law, which I found unnecessary and humiliating. Danielle also rudely threatened that the account would be canceled after she scanned my ID to verify my age for the wine. Her attitude throughout was unprofessional and confrontational, and I honestly didn’t understand why she treated me that way.

Despite all this, I stayed calm and apologized, even saying I would just get my own membership since I’m the one who shops most often. When I walked out, I approached Caroline again to confirm if the account had been canceled. She clarified that it wouldn’t be and that I could simply get another card under the same account with my name on it. This clarification, while appreciated, could have been given much earlier without the unnecessary drama and accusations.

This whole situation could have been handled much better. The employees could have communicated the policy more politely and professionally without making me feel like I was doing something wrong. The rudeness and threatening tone from Danielle were completely uncalled for. This experience was ridiculous and unacceptable, and it has definitely made me question whether I want to continue shopping at Sam’s Club.

I went around 1 on a Wednesday and it was still crowded. I was able to use its scan and go app to scan my purchases and pay from the app so I didn't have to wait in line. Sundays is the worst day of the week to shop here.

For starters we approach a young man about a motor cart to see if he saw one outside and he just shrug his shoulders. The lady who was greeting customers as they entered the store had an attitude and never smile with a certain type of people which I find quite disturbing. We also couldn't find a couple of sale items ask workers and they didn't know either. Good help is hard to find these days.

The cashier was very friendly. They have this new security gate they are instelling, looks like a TSA type look, so when leaving where they check your receipt I told the ladies I only had one cart to declare and that I had checked the rest to my destination. They laughed.

I’ve been coming because of the rotisserie chicken. But let’s face it! You always get other stuff too and spend money.

It’s the third time I’ve been here and there’s no chicken. Sam’s is no longer worth the hike from Summerville for me because of this. This is a staple item offered. You either carry a product or you don’t.
I can shop for most things elsewhere that’s closer to me and save time and money.

It’s okay for a Sam’s Club. But staff is very rude, sassy giving me tons of attitude with their voice and face. This location also has rules that no other Sam’s Club I’ve been to has. I’ve been to Sam’s in 4 other states and I’ve never been asked to show my membership card before when entering. Nor have I even been told that multiple orders cannot go in the same shopping cart (if you and a friend go grocery shopping together) and I’ve also never been told I cannot put my groceries into boxes or bags before going through the line to have my receipt checked even thought it’s an open bag (the big blue IKEA bag) or the freezer bag (literally the freezer bag Sam’s Club sells in store). I’ve been to this location twice now after moving from another state and I’ve been met with anything but the southern hospitality that South Carolina raves about in their reputation. Not sure if this is all because of the location or what, but whoever decided to put a Sam’s Club in North Charleston (one of the most dangerous and crime filled areas) was not thinking correctly. And the Managers at this location need to start teaching their employees how to act. I feel like a criminal every time I’ve gone here (which is twice) for merely shopping. Being side eyed, talked down to, and looked up and down. Yeah, this location needs corporate to come and do an audit, which I’m sure would result in most of the employees being fired. But other than that, I would say it’s an average store. It’s missing a lot of items that was common in the other 4 states I’ve been to, so I am not sure what that is about but it is what it is here I guess. Not angry but disappointed with this location. I hope management can get it together since this the only Sam’s Club around.

9/1/24- Club has made a lot of improvements.
The snack area needs a revamp to handle the long lines. It's always cluttered up.

9/25- club back to normal!

4/30- OH my..when will they get this remodel done. Shopping is a nightmare with deadends.

2/26- Club stocked and orderly. Some great prices.

The people who work at the optical center have amazing customer service and are very pleasant to work with. Honestly, I renewed my membership because of the optical center and some of the great deals offered at this club.

I knocked off a star because it can get pretty crowded and hard to get around especially on the weekends. The cafe is always busy and the wait can be very long.

Overall, this Sam's Club is fine.
I recommend getting the app to use the Scan and Go so you don't have to wait in line to check out.

I gave it 5 stars, though there were some issues. Those issues come from the store being remodeled. Just think of the store as going on a treasure hunt until things are complete. Even in the midst of the remodel, the store was clean. The associates were very polite when I asked where to find something.
I can't wait to see how the store looks when the remodel is complete.
*Update: The remodel is almost complete. The store was very clean and the associates were friendly. Best prices anywhere.
**Loads of Christmas gifting and food. The store was clean and well stocked.

From the front door person checking memberships, to customer service desk personnel, people serving pizzza behind the snack bar and at the end of ahopping visisit, folks helping with self xheck out : ALL employees had a smile on their face & doing their best to make sure could help in fast, friendly ways. I was amazed at all of the outdoor products and gardening equipment. There were even live flowers here. GREAT PRICES! Especially on the kayaks, after covid has chilled out & demand gone down, so did their price. Have been watching for that. Everything was clean, orderly on shelves, sign above lanes eaay to see, find what you need in this huge place, and thankfully: accurate ! An overall great shopping experience

I have an idea. First, have someone at your store available to answer the phone. Second, sometimes after a person makes a delivery order, there are circumstances where the person can’t be home at that time. Since no one at the club will actually answer the phone, I tried to call the 800 number and had a nice long discussion with someone from India who did not understand what I wanted at all. So, now I’m gonna have food sitting on my porch in 80° weather that I can throw away. I won’t ever make this mistake again.

This Sam’s Club is well organized and well run. On today’s trip, Stanley helped me find whipped topping (went in the fridge cause the shelves were empty and got them for me). Not his job - he went out of his way to help! And the person on the speaker who seems to work everywhere in the store (I feel AWFUL that I do not know her name) helped me with check out in the scan n go app. I have had help from her on several visits! She is the bomb!! BTW….love the app!!

Very small selection of Fresh Meat and what was there was 4 days old , red meat was turning brown and one steak was turning green. Horrible service in the MEAT department and cashier was rude, abrupt, and refused to help with our order. She said it's not her JOB. Get this, I am disabled and in a wheelchair. I had my disabled son with me, and we had a large order, 73 items, and spent a lot of money that day. What's the purpose of a cashier if they don't ring up your groceries and put them into a cart? If I wanted to or was able to, I would have used Self-checkout... I thought I was at Aldi's for a moment, but you know what to expect there at least. Another thing is they NO-LONGER let you or give you empty boxes to put your stuff in.. Make sure you take your own bags.

Some how my card was mixed up with another member card who has to pay membership! I need my card. This was discovered at checkout when I scanned card a different name and renewal fee pop up. My wife's wallet was stolen out of her purse at the N. Charleston Sam's Club. We found out while we were in line and she got a fraud alert on one of here charge cards. We immediately notified a customer service representative in the green vest. They were of no help. 1 large purchase was made useing another card while an additional large purchase is pending. Seems like if you had a card declined on a large purchase identify would be needed. Especially when the Sam's card would be in a different name than the charge card.

Um…it’s okay, I like to go super early and scan as I go with the app. It can get pretty hectic in there and the curbside charges you unless you’re a + member.

Their roses/flowers are the best around though. And I mostly go for dog food for my pup.

I haven’t had any bad experiences with the staff, it’s mostly just the customers…very north charleston rudey and yeah.

First off as a Veteran, there is nothing offered for us, so please do NOT say you support Veterans! Our first
experience was extremely disappointing, the Vizio 32inch tv was not in the store that was advertised and no one knew what was going on. No Duracell batteries, only junk energizer batteries, meat and poultry were no savings and the steaks looked terrible. Publix near us have better prices and Publix butchers have much better meat and poultry. Varieties in products were very minimal and its clear they only carry lower quality brands and products in many of the offered deals. On the way to the register I did want to get a cologne that I like BUT... there again, there was no one to help and two people called it in and after THIRTY MINUTES OF WAITING, I said forget this, we are out of here... then one last slap in the face, no gas prices were posted and the lady at the door told us that the electronic sign for the gas had never worked! It's clear that management has failed this store and Sam's Club was not worth the drive from Summerville! D- Rating at best! Employee's get a D- Rating as well because you can see the lack of enthusiasm and effort!

The bakery was LESS than impressive. No one really wants to talk to you, but if they MUST it will be very vague and they're going to walk away, if they can manage, before you're done speaking. Good luck getting them to come back... when you finally do get an order sheet it will be the wrong one, and they are VERY inconvenienced by you asking for the right one. I ordered 4 cakes and 30 cupcakes, no one really wanted to help. Someone called later to inform me that I requested something that could not be done so I had a last minute change of plans. I was also told that "Happy Birthday" could not be written on my daughters birthday cake because there was no room.... there was clearly room. When I picked the cake up they ran around looking for it for what seemed like 45 minutes thinking it was never made, when they found it the bottom one was misshapen. Now this cake is in all of my daughter's first birthday pictures. Also, I ordered a minecraft cake, I was not told that it is basically a plain green cake, no one knew what it was and my son was extremely disappointed!!

I walked in to make a Christmas gift return and was sent to the Customer Service desk, who then sent me to the jewelry counter, where I was told an associate would meet me. After waiting at the jewelry counter for 5-10 minutes with no help, we finally got the attention of an associate walking by. She took my item and walked off towards the registers without asking me to follow her or saying anything. I then get yelled at across the way from a customer waiting in line that “Hey! She needs you over here!” As if it was too much trouble for her to walk back and grab us herself. Needless to say, the return wasn’t successful because I tried using my mother’s Sam’s Club card from my app (I am not a member anymore, being that I live closer to a Costco - the Promised Land). Therefore, I was told they couldn’t process the return and I would need to come back with my mother or grandmother who purchased it. I understand there are policies at play, but what happened to going above and beyond to convenience the customer? As someone who’s worked in customer service for a decade, I can confidently say this store has shown some of the worst.. Do better!

Your pickup team is straight up GARBAGE and the reputation of your store is obviously at stake because of it. I go here all the time and spend at least $100 or more every time. This time they were complaining that I was in the store to long and I was sitting down on the wicker furniture. When they went check my receipt they try to accuse my mother and I of stealing after the cashier rang everything up. We didn't use self checkout. We got accused of stealing by asking if we had a receipt before we made it to the door where they normally check receipts. In a subtle way, they were trying to say that we stole something and tried to walk out without paying. This is how they treat loyal customers, members since 2010. Not sure about renewing our membership after this incident.

The associates at the front door need to card everyone and not pick and choose who they decide to card! I will never go back there and Ive only had my membership for about 6 months. Go to BJ's or Costco! Anywhere but here! Horrible customer service and they discriminate against black people!

I’ve been coming here for years. Yesterday was extremely special. I was greeted by Torrii when I came in and she made a huge effort to get me set up with Scan and Go she did not leave me until it was working. We also had encounters with other employees who were eager to help when we tried to find certain items. It made our day to be assisted by such joyful individuals. Well…. After writing this I realize now it is a long customer service praise…..

It started yesterday morning out by heading to my local Sam’s club in Charleston, SC to get my 6.7 Cummins a set of batteries under warranty. They really impressed me on 2023.11.18 at 1000 in the morning with their tire/battery customer service. Unfortunately soon after I arrived I found out that they did not have replacement batteries in stock.

After calling and researching the several other stores within 150 miles radius such as Savannah, Myrtle Beach, Columbia, Aiken, Florence, and Anderson I was finally advised that they were 100% out of stock …. with no idea when they would get in a new order in or when they would be delivered.

I was originally scheduled to make a short trip that afternoon with my truck
but I realized I was not going to make the trip.

The tire associate said I could talk to a manager and explain the situation and they may have another possible option …..

This was a magnificent leadership move made on my behalf and it really saved my day!!!! I was worried about getting back and forth to work this week, making my next VA doctors appt, and I really did not want to wait another week for batteries that “may” or “may not” show up in the next delivery.

They really stepped up and even went above and beyond the normal to help me.

I have been a Sams Club member since 1993 and have never regretted it. Their ability to warranty their products across the United States is the main reason I have been with them during my Military career and they have been my tire and battery solution since my first membership.

Every single time I go for Sam’s pickup I’m waiting for more than 30 minutes and nobody ever comes to my car and I’ll have to go in… I’m honestly going to cancel my membership this is outrageous and ridiculous… I’m saying here on my app and putting my spot by nobody comes out. Also, people are using those for parking spots now and not pick up which shows…

Dear Sam’s Club,
Your pickup system is garbage! The clerk says there are 3 people signed into spot #2. I could’ve had at least $200 and a car full worth of free grocery if I was dishonest, and didn’t want the 6 items that I really and truly purchased! I’ve been sitting in spot #2 for over a half an hour and was finally approached by a store clerk ready to give me someone else’s order! I was on alert, when she said there were items that needed to be gotten from the freezer. This is crazy! First of all, you have folks who just park in these spots with no consequences and then you have people like me who had to drive around and wait 10 additional minutes for a spot to free up! I don’t know what’s going on, but we the paying membership DO NOT LIKE IT! This has been going on for over 2 months- almost every trip here, and I come frequently! I’ve had enough time to type this review, which now I’m fuming. Our time is important to us, hence the reason for ordering PICKUP! It was 1:40 when I got here; it’s now 2:15.

We have a member ship and we love it. We sometimes so to Costco, some times it is cheaper, sometimes it’s not. The people are always friendly. It’s clean. They have toys out and Christmas decorations!

It would be better if the wait wasn’t as long most of the time, and if it would have TAP PAY, NFC technology is everywhere but here. They even have their paying machines on a shopping cart and don’t care to fix it, they just leave it on there and can’t take anything but swipe and chip, forget my card sometimes and want to use Apple Pay but I can’t their too cheap to upgrade their payment system!

Went to Sam's club customer service to upgrade membership the lady reported my card stolen when she upgraded my membership so I could not use my scan and go app. The other lady working at customer service told the co worker she shouldn't of reported my member card stolen when doing the upgrade and said to her that was ok? then proceeded to tell me to call the customer service number to fix my account to unlock it? First of all I'm paying Sam's club for a membership and I upgraded and I did not create this situation so they should of fixed it for me. Instead I had to call customer service out of united states and they could not understand me nor could I understand them. Long story shortened I canceled my entire membership! I have options where I can spend my money sadly I will not be shopping anymore at north charleston Sam's club.

Terrible cashier. She did even put our items in our cart for my 93 year old mother. She got made because I moved the cashier's coffee drink and bottle soda from the register area my groceries and clothing should go after being scanned. She hardly had any room because the front-end manager team was all hovering over with all their drinks and tablet notebook like it was a breakroom. Once I called management to complain I was hung up on then left on hold for just sigh of an hour. Only to be met with an attitude of irritation from Lynn the manager per her. She never asked my name just said I'll have to review the camera is there anything else I can help you with. We'll ok thank you for nothing.

Shopping gets more stars. Customer service is trash. I’ve called 7 times and they keep answering and hanging up. I can hear the lady laughing. If you pick up the phone then talk. Sam's Club is awesome! The scan and go is one of the best features they offer. It's super convenient to shop and checkout at the pace I want instead of having to wait in a long line. Location is clean. The ladies that run the Cafe are very efficient and work great as a team to ensure that guests have very minimal wait times. The items here are already listed at great prices but they always have extra savings every month on everyday items that make the prices even better. Love shopping here and will continue to get most of my essentials and food products here for the foreseeable future. The only thing I wish is that they had the Mexican Coca Cola.
