Kroger offers thousands of quality food and household products from your favorite brands and companies. From fresh produce, meats and seafood to dairy, home goods and pharmaceutical needs, Kroger is your one stop for savings.
When I first started shopping here there was a decent selection in the section of healthier options. That section is gone and so are much of the foods I can eat. Produce is not seasonal and I wonder about the horrible footprint they must be leaving. Customer Service varies from none to not so good. I don’t believe I’ve ever had a pleasant customer service experience. That’s at the customer service counter. Cashiers are generally friendly, but employees don’t generally know much about their business and are brutal on the produce. Today I couldn’t even get change for a 5$ bill. Not because they didn’t have it, I could understand if they were low on ones, but just because. Not sure why I gave three stars, maybe because they are generally clean and they have the double decker buggies. Really Really need to work on your customer service Kroger!!

I shopped here last week and had a cart full of $300 worth of groceries. There were absolutely no registers open only self checkout. Several employees including one that was FOR SURE a manager or supervisor just watched me struggle. One employee some what helped bag some of them but seemed annoyed and only did like a couple and the manager woman watched and I could tell by the look on her face was judging me. It wasn’t like I chose self checkout with that large of an order, it was just out of their laziness. Based on my review and others corporate should definitely stop by. Just saying.

This Kroger has two entrances. Which one do you think they have locked by 8pm? If you guessed the one on the left under the HUGE KROGER sign, then you are correct. There is no sign you can see from your car before you park, or one that you can see as you walk up. The cart collector guy didn't bother to say "hey, those doors are locked". So I get to figure it out by walking up to the automatic doors while they don't open. Then I went over to the other open doors and went to the produce section and it looked like they have up a few hours ago. If Kroger doesn't want to be open for customers, maybe they should just close. I left without spending a dime. Thanks for wasting my time.

I try hard not to resent anybody. Amanda Harrel is the one exception. She is one of the managers at this Kroger location. Out of this entire store with dozens of employees, I have yet to meet one who actually likes her. If you have ever talked to her, certainly you are aware of her mannerisms. These may include, but not limited to, being talked to as if you are an infant or have an IQ of 7, and treated as if you are always wrong and she is always right. You may be aware of a manipulation tactic called infantilization. If you aren’t aware of the defintion, it includesa patronizing tone to make the victim feel disrespected and belittled and treating the victim like children or infants. For one reason: power and control. Being treated poorly by someone else can make one feel extremely demoralized, making it difficult to muster up willpower to stand up to the person.
If you are ever in her way, she will stand and stare at you with a fake smile plastered on her face. She will tell you how to do your job, even if you have been doing it for months, possibly even years. Granted, there are moments where reinforcement may be necessary, but there are absolutely other ways to go about it. She has never known kindness. I could never imagine being consumed with such bitterness as she. She is positively prime evil, completely odious. There have been times when I hear her gossiping about other employees behind their backs. There could be two and a half minutes remaining in your shift, and she very well will ask you to sweep the back hallway. She will ask you do anything and everything she can, so that she doesn’t have to do it herself.
Many enthusiastically wait her return to crawl back into the fiery infernal of the seventh layer of hell that she once came from and never return. When this day comes, we will all watch with sparkles in our eyes.
P.S. someone get this woman a belt!!

Dickson Kroger… what a S- show. Encountered an employee who had said she had been working 7 hours without one break. Store poorly stocked, produce on shelf is spoiled. Would have easily spent another 100.00 bucks in there if they had stock. I don’t understand why Dickson store constantly looks like chaos and mis managed considering it serves a large rural area. Go to bigger cities like Nolensville the stores are immaculate and well kept. I sure hope Publix builds here, I will happily pay higher prices to be able to purchase groceries without the chaos and inconvenience that this store offers

The only con is the meat department, either no one is around or everything is 2+ pounds. If you try and get a pound, the inform you they put everything out. Which to me doesn’t make sense, if you have a meat department for select cuts then why waste all the meat.
But overall a good experience.

Dickson Kroger lives up to its reputation tonight. It is literally the worst Kroger I've ever been to.
It's bad enough that you have to check yourself out but they don't even have all the self checkouts open. There is a winter storm coming and they don't even have all the self checkouts open. People are lined up back into the aisles.
The store constantly looks like they don't know what the word zoning means. It's constantly trashed.
It's amazing how the Kroger in Franklin TN can be the level of store that it is and at the same time you have this disorganized, dirty, frustrating store open at the same time.
The mayor of Dickson needs to work to get another big grocery chain into this town. It's a disgrace.

We just moved here to Dickson 2 months ago. I can’t believe you’re the only supermarket in town, well, larger one. I have been there at least a dozen times trying to get Natural Bliss Coconut Creamer. I’ve been successful 2 times.
Your refrigerated section, where the creamers go is always a mess and half the shelves are empty. I’ve spoken to several of your employees and they don’t seem to know what or why that’s going on. Can’t anybody be responsible for inventory? You guys lack competition, if there was another supermarket, you wouldn’t be lacking so badly. It’s like nobody is held accountable for the lack of responsibility and a job well done.
You might say “Well, go somewhere else!” Unfortunately, you’re the only one…

You might be thinking "then why do you shop here?". My response: I don't
I happened to go to Kroger this last time because it was a little more convenient than trekking to another store...or so I thought. I also used to go to Kroger a lot a couple years ago and found that they had good priced. May have times changed!
The prices are RIDICULOUS and the tags in front of item are deceiving. In tiny letters (that I missed) are the words "with digital coupon"
I don't know about you, but I'm not downloading another application so that I can shop in person.
This location NEVER has enough staff and waiting in line will take you AT LEAST 30 minutes.

This isn't against the store but instead the Pharmacy staff. The unprofessionalism of the staff is horrendous. I am in the healthcare field, and I am embarrassed that anyone in this field would do such a thing. I'm sitting in one of the chairs waiting for the restroom and a person walks in to get their scripts. All but 1 was filled. They wanted their script back and the pharmacy staff refused, stating to have the store call and they would send it over. They didnt fill it stating it was too soon for the billing to insurance. Now, as far as I knew, viagra isn't covered by any policy unless medically necessary. When the person left, the pharmacist started asking questions about it, well there was a young lady who is very loud and started laughing stating that he obviously has a problem taking 2 a day and still had more than 2 weeks to go and he was out. 1st off, she obviously has no clue as to what that medication is for. So why is she working in the pharmacy? Maybe he just enjoys his marital relations....rude. 2nd thing... why was she laughing and being loud about his "problem" where every person within hearing range could hear? I wish I could've gotten her name. I would file a complaint with the review board for that person myself. She was short with short blond hair just below her shoulders and very thin. What was even worse, not 1 single person in the staff asked her or reprimanded her for her callous behavior. Sir, whomever you are, I will apologize for her. I'm astounded that anybody would allow that type of behavior in a medical profession setting.

I was hesitant about ordering curbside pickup because of the bad reviews on this site. Since those reviews are old by months and even last year I decided to try it and am so glad I did! They must have just needed time to get some kinks worked out plus we all know not a lot of people have worked during the pandemic. I had a large order, $177 worth of groceries. I pulled in the parking spot for pickup, alerted them I was there and they brought my order out within 3 to 4 minutes. They loaded everything into the back of my car and had great attitudes. It was so easy and convenient and I even got $15 off for using the service! I was informed that my order had been ready for 6 hours and that online scheduling gets backed up so in the future I can call and check if my order is ready sooner. There were only 3 or 4 items that I didn’t get on my order and that’s to be expected. I’m really impressed and thankful for this service!!!

More than just a grocery store, this Kroger has a huge range of items, food, household, personal care, flowers, toys, services of many kinds. It looks like the store was enlarged, as the produce and florist and sushi (yes!) and some gourmet delicatessen counters are tucked beyond a wall. Checkout was fast, staff was friendly and helpful, they take coupons, and additional benefits can follow purchases. There are too many discounts and ads for me to even understand (electronic coupon? App? my cell phone won't do those, sorry), and I dislike "self-checkout", which is no more than a way to keep the staff list low, imho.

This store is very busy most of the time. The parking lot is nearly always full. The employees are always polite and helpful but the shelves are rarely fully stocked. Clicklist here is a joke - either you wait more than 30 minutes for them to bring the groceries out to you or they will delay your order pick up time by hours (which is very inconvenient when your chosen pick up time is 2 - 3 PM so you can get a few items to make dinner and they change your pick up time to 7 - 8 PM)

I ordered online pickup. I received a voicemail less than an hour prior to pickup stating I would need to pick my order up 45 minutes after the end of my initial time slot. I show up in the voicemails updated recommended time slot. I wait 40 minutes after calling and checking in with my car spot. At which point two employees start making their rounds to cars tell people their pickup time as changed. I was told to come back in an hour after waiting 40 minutes with no communication.
This location overbooks pickup appointments 3 of my last 4 appointments were pushed back. I understand you get behind sometimes however, it’s unacceptable to consistently push people back as we may may have other commitments at that time. I tried to discuss this with the manager but he was VERY dismissive.
I won’t be using this service again! If you have hours of your day to waste this is the place for you!

Apparently they feel like it's the customers fault they are always under staffed and they literally point that out every time. I filled my last prescription with them and really don't know why I kept going there, well the idea i could get some groceries while picking it up was the reason but that just isn't worth it.

We placed the order a week in advance, but they STILL got the date wrong and almost ruined our wedding reception. They did not acknowledge their mistake and took NO steps to ameliorate the situation. You would expect some sort of discount right? No. We payed full price, and when we filed a formal complaint we were given a whopping FIVE DOLLAR coupon towards our next purchase. Lotta good that'll do... seeing as how we won't be shopping there like, EVER again.

Subbing items that I went in the store On the shelf after they weren’t fulfilled. Kayla who works the computer was no help and was frankly rude when asked about the items and why there is an issue. I have been a customer service coordinator for 15 years. There should never be only ONE manned checkout. Two would be a minimum. I get the self check out but when the only cashier is 4 buggies deep management needs to be paying attention. ....just saying!

Great store but to do NOT use the pick up. It took them an hour and a half to bring out my groceries. A few of the employees were in NO rush as they were bringing things out. They were moving so slow and it was honestly frustrating that I spent my entire evening waiting. I’ll never use it again. Only ever go in to the store at this location.

Clicklist -
I prefer to get groceries at Kroger, but I would advise against Clicklist. It is better just to go in (when there's not an ongoing pandemic). I only do it if absolutely needed, but I have never gotten my order filled. Today was an example. They shorted my order 18 items. I received a text about it, checked what was substituted, and nothing was. I decided to go in 30 minutes early and look around myself. I found 14 of the 18 items... the exact items I ordered. I asked the person bringing my order out to share it with the manager, but I don't expect any changes. It's been this way since it started.

The grocery pick-up for this location is untimely and lacks organization as well as proper staff!! For months now my groceries have been delayed for “being so busy”. Sometimes I will receive a phone call informing me they can’t have them ready at the specified time or sometimes I go to pick them up and they tell me they aren’t ready yet!! If someone orders groceries and picks a time (that is shown available on the app) then they should have them ready in a timely manner PERIOD!!!

Welcome to your Dickson Kroger. Kind employees that know it’s this bad and management won’t fix. They appear to fully stock rarely - maybe once a week. Their deli and bakery are not this way - they are exceptional. The rest of the store is just poorly run. The pictures speak for themselves.

To the employee working the self check out this morning that has gone from accusing me of using a counterfeit $100 bill two years ago to accusing me of trying to steal a can of Kroger brand Vienna sausages, I hope you’re fired soon. You are a terribly rude individual and have zero customer service skills.

Do not use click list.... complete waist of time. It would be way quicker to just go inside and shop. I have been waiting almost an hour and still no groceries. They have served 4 cars that pulled up after me. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY........

We spent 45 minutes in the Kroger pickup line. Our time ran into the next pickup window. We also asked for paper bags for all of our groceries and only received a couple of paper bags. Our click list person was however very kind and apologetic. We lost money and time and will probably not use the pickup service at this Kroger again.

Overall l like most Kroger stores but this one in Dickson is the worst I have ever shopped in. Obviously poor management has lowered employee morale to the point of not even caring anymore. If you complain about something to an employee they say we hear that all the time but management won't fix it. SAD!

Torn on this review, but just sharing my honest experiences.
Overall, the store is OK and employees are helpful, but......
ClickList ... well.... sucks. Nothing is convenient about shopping over an app, waiting for a pickup time, and getting to the store to find out many items were ‘not found’ ... especially when I can walk right in and magically find them..... substitute items have no rhyme or reason.... they will say they can’t find any of some super common item with tons of sub options, and at the same time will sub something else with the most awful choice imaginable as the substitute. They need to hire a former Instacart or Shipt shopper and learn how to do this personal shopping thing better.
All that said, if you have the time in your day, then the store is OK (nothing over the top special or bad) for shopping and meeting your needs. Just avoid ClickList and be ready to hunt for parking spots.

This Kroger is very convenient for Dickson & surrounding counties! The prices match my budget. The deli department is my favorite especially when Mrs. Edmondson is working. I know my food will be made correctly if she's handling it. The store could be expanded to accommodate the influx of growth in Dickson's population. The pharmacy staffing is very friendly which makes the wait times more acceptable. However, its constantly busy with patients. The overall atmosphere is pleasant.

Will not go back to Dickson Kroger on Saturday anymore. They were out of the best sell items. Clerk told me to get a raincheck i have a better suggestion before you put an item on sell make sure you are going to have an adequate quantity to keep it stocked. Kroger is my favorite place to buy groceries but stuff like this makes publix or harris teeter feel like an option hope I don't run into thos again at Kroger.
