Kroger

I bought a few groceries here this past Sunday 12/3/2023. Tonight, 12/5/2023, I opened a box of macaroni I bought for my daughter and there were dead baby roaches in it. Not only that but I checked the expiration and it expired 9/21/2023…this is the second item in a month I’ve bought from this Kroger location that’s been expired. Kroger needs to do a better job of quality control. I’m so grateful I could clearly see the roaches and I didn’t feed it to my 19 month old. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable.

Dickinson Kroger has won my business!!! The workers there are wonderful. They showed friendliness, positivity, patience, and were very helpful. Nice atmosphere. I would like to thank the guy that worked in the dairy dept for his friendly assistance and the check out lady was great! The bagboy was hilarious and filled with joy!! The manager smiled as we left. I left with a smile. They may not have a fuel center, but I have learned shell across the street takes Kroger fuel points so that is convenient and they have good gas. They have a nice deli also.

On an extra note. I stopped going to the South shore location because of the negative and unfriendly atmosphere. It used to not be that way. I kept leaving feeling unappreciated. The workers there act like helping you is irritating and nobody smiles. It stopped being pleasant. The day shift is alright but the evening shift has a dreary cloud..⛈️ The guys that work the fuel station are great though. I will miss them now that I'll be getting my gas in dickinson. Too bad.

First impression, clean and quite! I walked in needing a few ingredients and noticed how organized and kept up everything is. The produce looked good. The meat needed some stocking, but for a Sunday, I expected that. People say Kroger's is expensive, but I disagree. If you budget shop you can find the right prices. I walked up to the front to pay for my items and there was a kind lady waiting to help me. She told me everything I needed to know about their Kroger card and easily got through the line. I would come back. I rate 4 out of 5 because their card machine was acting funny and their parking lot had water holes all around.

I stopped in at Kroger’s this morning on my way out of town. The employees were so helpful! The young man in the produce was especially helpful and nice! I was wondering if the cantaloupe was sweet. He didn’t know so he went and cut me a piece. It was delicious! 😍 Talk about exceptional customer service!

The young ladies in the bakery and for the self checkout also went out of their way to help me.

Phone manors, like answer the phone Kroger, and how may I help you; instead of Hello thinking I dialed wrong number. I asked for a manager the gentleman put phone down and talked into walkie talkie; Amanda Stanley said I am not talking to them. Put on hold and hang up. WOW I didn't want to talk to you either because it would have ended badly kid.

Dickinson Kroger has won my business!!! The workers there are wonderful. They showed friendliness, positivity, patience, and were very helpful. Nice atmosphere. I went to this Dickinson Tx. store, 3410 Gulf Fwy, Dickinson, TX 77539, today, 10-3-2024 trying to return a candy package of that I bought extra, yesterday 9-3-2024 the candy package was completely sealed, exactly same as I bought it, I also brought my purchase receipt, the answer customer service employee she told me "they couldn't receive it because it was a small Kroger store and I bought it at a larger Kroger store".
I asked to speak to manager store and she gave me same answer.
If that is your return policy, please inform customers and add how many square meters each store has, so the customer can know the size of each store.
It's stupidest answer I've ever heard.

Every single time it's always something. Tell me what store that doesn't have rising carts. I had surgery and I'm unable to walk through the store. So I have to sit in the car and wait for my husband to go into the store and shop. I'm sure I'm not the only one that's complaining about this I've just never gone to a grocery store and they have no handicap access for those with a handicap. Get this store in order I'm surely uoset that I have to go to another store.

Ii just had the worst experience at this Kroger my cashier name was (Kriste)
I’m a Instacart shopper I had 2 orders it was a male customer and the cashier were both rushing me , being very aggressive. When you’re doing Instacart you have to separate the items and the cashiers has to scan 4 labels 2 for each label so this takes me time than a regular order. Also it needs to be put in the car separately. So she was just rushing me and I was trying to make sure the bagger was separating the items and man pushed my cart forward while I still had items inside and the cashiers Says loudly with relief to the male who pushed my cart ‘ Thank you “ I was quite appalled. I didn’t say nothing I pushed my cart Back and I was walking around to push my cart my self only to catch this MAN again with his hands on my cart. Mind you Kristy was still checking out my order. It was no reason for him to keep touching my cart. HE ALL most hit me with the cart this time. When I caught eye contact with the mam he took his hands off my cart and put his hands in the air ( as in I’ll back off) Again the cashier never said nothing as I walked to the front of the cart to push it where it was convenient just before I put my hands on the cart . Kristy says ‘ COULD YOU MOVE YOUR CART UP! All while she still was still ringing items being very rude, she was rude and then thanked the customer for being rude , then they were rude together like the Both decided to gang up on me. At this point I’m very frustrated and my anxiety starts up and I’m feeling rushed. Then after I pushed my car up Kristy took her time bagging my items talking to the bagger and customers taking her time to bag the items after repeatedly making comments rushing me. It was crazy. It was no one in the store to be rushing me like that very uncomfortable situation.I feel it was racism because I’m a black woman. It was very rude , disrespectful and unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. I will be reporting this to Instacart as well.

Customer service always goes above and beyond. Because of health issues I need to use a battery powered cart. When I went thru the door today all carts were not available as they were being charged. As I was filled with dispair here comes a young lady through the door who works there and I asked if she knew if there were any other carts. She offered to go to the other side of the store and check and did come back with one I could use so I was able to get my groceries. She was so kind and helpful, all the employees are wonderful.

This location only has one person working their service counter. After waiting 30 minutes for her to return from lunch to tell me that their Western Union Service was not in working order she showed zero sympathy. It is absolutely ridiculous to only have one person covering that area. And then after being upset expressing that I had to wait 30 minutes for her to return from lunch just to be told that something wasn't working her response was well no one would know that except for me. This is extremely bad customer service

I’ve shopping Kroger same store since 1997. This store is one I won’t go into anymore. The floor is nasty no tile looks awful. Also not enough room they put items in place like..water thought I was buying 3/10 but was 4.97 each they just ran out of room and set on the sale shelf. Something really has to be done about this store. Face something. I love Kroger hate this store. I’m 70 and don’t want to drive to league city.
Can’t you fix these problems.

This location is @ the corner of Highway 517 & Interstate 45 [Gulf Freeway]. There is a Remittance Center & a Pharmacy there.

This location has a well–stocked selection of produce, as well as a large variety of grocery products & beverages.

The employees there are very knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to help you to make your produce or grocery product selection.

The store is clean, cool. They have a wide variety of products. What I like to eat and drink, is priced higher than other stores. They have people at register, but also, self serve registers.

This is a small store that has very little variety. Sales are decent, but wear your summer clothes because it must be 80+ degrees in the store. Every time I go I have to take a shower when I get home because I’m soaking wet with sweat 😓

Just stopped in to buy an ice cream cake. One lady was training another lady in the bakery about powdered donuts. Both had gloves on. Another lady comes over and starts talking to both. And with bare hands, grabs both donuts and tosses them back into a bin. I’m sorry. Did she come from the special section of that store because working in the deli you have food safety training. What she did is very unsanitary. She was too lazy to put gloves on and that’s the bottom line. Buyer beware.

If you are studying psychology come see the older woman in the self check out, very rude ask for the manager and she will change her attitude and seem very sincere as if she wasn't being an a hole. Very odd, yanked my I'd out of my hand, and got into it with another customer as I was walking out. First and last time I will go to this krogers. So we are in a pandemic right now
And appointments to get one at the dps is out a few months.
My is is expired and I have a letter from the Texas department of public safety that clearly states “Even though your DL/ ID is expired it is still considered valid”
Clearly stating that it is valid until the department resumes to normal operations and also stating that they are NOT back to operating normal at this time.
So the cashier lady with a missing tooth refused to sell me wine, even though I had this same letter the day before and another cashier sold it to me.

I live very close to this Kroger but will not be shopping here any more.

Last night the unthinkable happened and I must share.
I went into Kroger to pick up a few items,after selecting those items I proceeded to the cash register and was greeted with a friendly smile and hello by Mr. Reuben. Mr. Reuben tallied up my bill and ask for my Kroger member number,
while I was giving him my number I reached into my pocket only to discover I'd forgotten my wallet at home. I told Mr. Reuben that I'd run home and return for the items. Mr. Reuben told me to hold on;he then pulled out his wallet and payed for my items. I'm truly Amazed and Grateful
for his kindness toward me.I pray that GOD continues to Bless this young man. I'm a frequent shopper at this location and I must say the staff are always very friendly.

This store is an embarrassment to Kroger chain. Customers have no care for their community, they leave carts in parking lot. The wind blew one cart into the side of my car door, and put a ding. The floors, well they don’t have any, you shop on their concrete slab. Good people work there, but they need leadership and direction, which is failing. One of the worse Kroger ever shopped, and have shopped for decades, not here, Indiana, Richmond, Tx., Houston, Tx., and their chain in CA. This parking lot is rotten, an abandoned what a burger sits on it- it’s just pitiful. But, I like Kroger organic milk, and the next nearest is another worse experience, in Texas City. I don’t understand why customers on this end of 45N don’t expect better.

My handicapped 84yo grandmother was just asked by the Pharmacy "Why are you filling this here when you normally have this filled at CVS?" They then told her "If you keep going back and forth we will no longer fill any of your prescriptions." I have NEVER heard of a pharmacy demanding all of a person's business or none of it! She waited for an hour and then went home to call me crying. I think this is horrible. I live in Houston but if I need to come down this weekend to take care of this I will. Who says that to an old woman?

The Dickinson Kroger is conveniently located right off i-45 south, can't miss it. Kroger is my fav chain of grocery stores, so any Kroger is good and well by me.
The prize for Kroger with best and biggest/largest selection of everything in this area would go to the Galveston location.
But the Dickinson location has lots going for it as well. The wife and I spend alot of free time in the Webster, League City, Scarsdale sort of area, so on our way back home this is the most convenient Kroger to stop by. Staff is polite and friendly. This Kroger just like most has a Starbucks inside if that's your thing

This Kroger location is very convenient if you're driving southbound from Harris County on Interstate 45 and headed towards Galveston County. It appears to be an older remodeled Kroger located within a shopping center. Very easy access from the service road or from the cross street. The store is very well-stocked. They have a bakery and fresh deli that serves baked or fried chicken. As of this post, there are only 4 self checkout stations. However, I shopped today after 5 p.m. and there were available cashiers in the regular lanes. The staff was very nice on all of my recent visits.

I love Kroger's stores and I love coming to this one in Dickinson to support its restructuring after hurricane Harvey. The people are wonderful and extremely helpful. The place is still working on some redos so I won't say anything bad about the decor. They keep pretty well stocked although they were just out of some popular canned cat foods. All- in-all i'll keep stopping here!

I went to the pharmacy. They fill the prescriptions in a very short amount of time.. In the grocery area the sales items are really good but everyday prices are higher than Walmart. Hamburger meat is at least$0.75 more then Walmart... Of course the lines are shorter than at Walmart and you can get out quicker. That's because there's not as many people. All in all I would rather go to Walmart for my groceries. I might go there for their specials especially on Meats because Walmart never runs any specials on their meats. All in all it was a good experience and the store was very clean.

Service is horrible. Store products are overpriced. Management cuts employees hours so the shelves are not stocked. Contacted Corporate about the store and of course they did not change anything. Meat is not even cut in the store anymore...comes from out of state. Not the Kroger's it used to be.

Three stars pending future visits. I was running in and out and was not very impressed. However, it had pretty much the same organizational scheme as other Krogers...which is very important to the person who wants in and out. They had a decent produce section...all the regular stuff. The meat selection was "also" average to slightly lacking. When I went to the butchers block; there was no one there to attend me. (That equals bad for the person who wants in and out). So I went back to the meat case and made due. (Also bad for the more finicky shopper). I'm not that finicky. For what it's worth, it's not a bad store but, it's not a great one either.

The store is pretty clean. The floor needs work, but that's from Harvey, so they get a pass. The employees are pretty nice, the wait in line isn't therrible, but the parking SUCKS. There is always someone up your butt or an almost accident every time. Bad layout.

This location was more welcoming and so much more pleasant when Mr. Harris was on site. Against my better judgment, I popped into Kroger for a couple of items and a money order, although I told myself I'd never shop here again. Ugh! Kristy, who was clearly out of uniform, stared us down as we walked in and then rolled her eyes. Thanks for the warm greeting Kristy. I miss your conversation Donald!!!😀 Got my items and checked out at self checkout as Kristy watched my every move. I moved on to customer service where Jeremy almost ran me over just to speak with Brittney. CS was good. My only suggestion to Brittney is: You can't focus on the customer, Brittney, if you're looking past them trying to see what's happening in the checkout lanes. I'd rather go to WM and ring up 2 baskets full of groceries on my own at self checkout, which is a true story, and stand in that ridiculously long CS line for 1 money order than deal with Kroger. It's ashame how some of you treat the customers, as well as, your employees.
