Ross Dress for Less

Went in at 1:30 to shop. Every handbag, shoe, toy had the chirping devices going off. Way over stimulating. Couldn't finish what I started. Left my cart after seeing check out line was a 40 minute wait. The noise of screaming chirping sounds was enough to convince me I was in the wrong store.. Ears are still ringing

Went in today 12-1-24
Had a Lazy ass cashier, rude, chewing her gum like a cow! I don’t mind taking the clothes off of hangers but there’s a way to ask she wanted me to take off the hangers, grab the bag and take my receipt. You want me to bag my shit to??? Like I said I CAN do all of that BUT THERE’S A WAY TO ASK!!!

The cashiers are very rude they gave me a hasssle trying to return an item when I had both the price tag and receipt. The manager Brenda was also very rude the other time when I asked if I could leave some earrings on hold because I left my card at the house she told me no and as soon as she sees me walk out the store they can't hold anything for you.Which is a lie because the weslaco ross never gives me a hard time when I ask to put something on hold.

The store is consistently disorganized regardless of the time of day. There are never enough open cash registers, reminiscent of a Walmart with ten registers but only two ever operational.

The self-checkout system is inefficient, requiring frequent assistance from staff, making it redundant and moot. Additionally, the fitting rooms have limited hours, which seems unnecessary. The overall customer service leaves much to be desired, giving the impression that they do not value their patrons.

Vicarious embarrassment. This is what we felt as a family when one of the managers ( young woman Brenda?) got mad and humiliated a teenage worker by the fitting rooms. It was dehumanizing to yell at her. I don't care what could've been the reason she was irked but this was very unbecoming. A good manager would take her aside and reprimand/explain out earshot. This allows employee morale to keep at a beneficial level. Sorry for the long post but having run my own successful business for 20 some odd years I like to think I know a thing or 2. Anyways, the young ladies at the registers are always amazing and helpful. #DoBetterRoss

I understand is the busiest time for retail because of Christmas seanson but the store was a mess. Two random ladies shopping mentioned to me the way the store was messy and we couldn't even go through the hallways with the store carts. Clothing, shoes, pillows, toys, boxes, etc were on the floor. Not to mention the carts and people standing in the hallways looking at merchandise with the hallways being kinda tight. The bathrooms the same way, with used toilet paper spilling the trash cans and all over the floor. There is only so much the employees can do, but we as customers can do better. There is no need to try shoes and leave them on the floor. Or leave clothing/ items just because they fell and we don't want to pick them up. Or leave our used toilet paper on the floor, that is disgusting. We need to be more conscious and be respectful. I do not believe we act this way in our own home!!!

My rating would've been 1 star had it not been for this extremely kind and helpful young lady. I believe her name is Lori. There were some issues with a return and she clearly and concisely explained everything and even offered alternatives. My wife and I left very happy. When otherwise it would've been pretty upsetting. If she's not already then she should definitely be in management. If the Ross here in Donna wants to succeed they need more people like her.

En la entrada hay siempre mucha basura lo más probable es que no sea responsabilidad de la tienda pero da una mala imagen. Ya que es la entrada.

One of the best stores for quality discount clothing...
My wife loves it! We highly RECOMMEND! Burlington very similar but we feel it is generally cheaper. And DDs is also similar but even generaly more cheap than the first two.

I just don't know what it is about any ROSS store that I have visited. Let me start by saying I rarely go because of this reason but the dressing rooms are always so DIRTY I wish they were as strict with keeping the dressing rooms clean with as much effort they take to counting your items before you go in. They smell foul and one time there was blood on the bench it wreaked like period bad. Idk if it's the stores fault for not keeping up or just the people that go in. Simply gross

The only thing I seemed to find wrong was their ladies shoe department. It was quite messy. Shoes were all over the floor making it difficult to go by with shopping cart. My cashier was a sweetheart, very friendly and efficient, she is Associate #2322346. I was impressed that this store (#2304) had six cashier opposed to other that only have 2 at the most. Will certainly come back to shop here again.
