This rating is for mobile service from Ron Hoover. I bought my trailer elsewhere. A mobile tech came to replace a broken tongue jack and rusted out water heater. Wonderful experience. He was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I was so pleased! Many of us have had such bad experiences. I will have to take it in for further service and hope my experience with the shop goes as well as my mobile service. I’ll let you know!

Back in 2018 we got a 2016 rv. We came out with it drove half mile, 2 tires blew out. We finally took it out after a month, the other 2 failed. We didn't open it to try it until we took it to our destination, the black tank on the back fell! There was 2 big soft spots on the floor that we weren't made aware of. A wall on the slide out had a bunch of water damage. It's the biggest slide out from 5 that it has and in the middle of that and the actual RV is where one of the biggest soft spots is. The roof had a very thin layer of that white stuff they put on it and lasted very little about 3 months. We had to replace a/c units within 6 month of having it. The electrical where the washer/dryer are had to be redone by my husband, mind you he is an electrician so he knows of this stuff. Overall wouldn't go buy another one since they only care about selling fast and are pushy. They could've told us straight up about some issues here and there

Never heard of a dealership holding onto a $2500 deposit when the customer doesn’t feel comfortable with going through the purchase. They do not have your best interest in mind. I would think twice before stopping by here. When we asked what’s the reason for them holding onto it, they stated it was used to take the boat off the showroom floor and start prepping. How are you going to start prepping a boat that hasn’t been finalized? That’s just bad business. Very disappointing experience.

Let me take a few moment to tell everyone about my horrible experience at this place. I bought a 2023 new Puma unleashed toy hauler. The price was great. But the camper wasn’t. I paid for them to transport it to their Katy location to save me a days worth of driving because I was coming from Atlanta. I worked a deal 2 weeks before coming to pick it up. I arrived Saturday the 16th to pick the unit up and that’s when the nightmare starts. . The thing was absolutely filthy on the outside. It rained really hard the night before. The windows on the slide were leaking water. All of the market lights except for one had water in them. The vent on the side for the over range hood was missing. The trim in multiple locations was loose. The power cord was missing. They did have to replace the side skirt due to some damage before I bought it which I knew about. When I expected the replacement panel it was not fastened properly. I was at the dealership for over 2 hours waiting for this to be fixed. Yet they had 2 weeks to inspect it and get it ready for sale seems they should have addressed and noticed everything . I used it for the first time Saturday evening. I noticed that it a lot of the adhesive strips on the inside that cover the interior panel seams are coming loose and loosing stickiness. The water in the shower barely comes out. But everything else water related works. Every time I close the side door the led light strip on the awning flickers on and off. The quality control of this dealership is probably the worst I’ve seen. I even had to ask for a drive out tag Now I have to find a local dealer to handle the warranty stuff. This is my 6th camper.

"Well, I have 13 acres of RV's, so you need to narrow it down" - I told him again that we really didn't know and would like to be able to browse the lot. Also - that my wife doesn't get around very well, she uses a walker, and that we were probably a couple years away from buying an RV. "Oh, it's 2 years before you're buying? Well, you can use that side door to get out to the lot" I went and got my wife, went through the showroom, out the door... past about EIGHT golf carts that really would've helped. We were able to view several RV's near the front - found a couple that we really liked, an upgrade that what we initially thought we wanted, but was nice to see in person. I looked at a few more while my wife headed back to the car. Heading in, a couple were sitting at a salesmans desk - and the CUSTOMER got up and opened the door for her. Probably going to spend about 80k on an RV - but not here.

I was absolutely impressed by the level of service and attention to detail I received from the Ron Hoover Team.

I was immediately greeted by big John upon entering the showroom. I was interested in trading in my Dargel Skout for the New Majek M2, John was very knowledgeable when it came to the Majek line of boats and answered all my questions.

After I picked out the M2 I was interested in Dustin Hoover met with me and asked where I wanted to be in regards to my monthly payment and down payment. Dustin worked on getting me where I wanted to be over the course of a few days even when I thought it may have been impossible to achieve.

Dustin offered me a more than fair trade in value for my Skout which was more than I could say for the low ball offer I received from down the road.

The Ron Hoover Team scheduled a pick up date and when I arrived they went through and explained all the features of my new boat from stern to bow, ran the engine with me, hooked my new boat up and brought my truck and boat around to the front with armorall'ed tires and all.

After the boat walk through I met with the shop/store manager and he offered some more useful advise for motor/boat maintenance.

Finally I sat down with the finance department and got all the paper work out of the way. Even this simple act of leaving the financing to the end speaks volumes, most other dealers want the money (financing) done first, not Ron Hoover of Donna. RH of Donna wanted me to feel comfortable and confident in my new boat purchase and ensured all my questions and concerns were answered before finalizing our purchase.

As info, RH of Donna also services boats/motors. Wish I would have known this sooner so that I could have taken my previous boat here for service rather than where I had been in the past.

I will absolutely recommend Ron Hoover of Donna to anyone in the market for a new boat, RV ATV etc. The entire Ron Hoover Team made my buying experience nothing but enjoyable. The other boat dealers of the RGV could learn a thing or two, maybe even a lot from how Ron Hoover runs their business and treats their customers.

Thank you Danny Deleon for helping me , my wife, and my 10 year old daughter find the right travel trailer. Danny help us find the right trailer that is going keep us safe on the road and sleep good at night on our summer vacation. Ron Hoover RV staff provided awesome service. I went to the RV Station and they didn’t want to make a deal on a trailer. I told them I was going to Ron Hoover across the Highway and the salesman said I would be back. Boy was he wrong. If I could give a negative I would. They made it believe my husband would’ve been part of the deed and collected partial down payment but a day before we were going to go in to sign they said the deed would be under his mother’s name, which was never part of the deal, when my husband decided to back out they refused to give the money back. I guess the sales must be low to depend on people’s down payment money. Anyways RV station across the street it’s where it’s at, ask for Felipe he will give you on heck of a deal. We love our new 2025 sierra 🙂‍↔️🙂‍↔️

My air conditioners quit working Oct 9th and they came and checked them out and they seeded to be replaced with my warranty. Since then they never came by and replaced them.

This post is for my grandmother. If I could give zero stars I would. I had purchased an RV here about a year ago. Not only did they cheat me of putting too much for down payment (10,000) but they also took a credit card out in my name and bought themselves items ($3,400);before sending me the credit card, now I am paying it off. They also made her sign some papers without explaining what she was signing, she is elderly and had no one to accompany her. I believe this was for the credit card, she also still has the recipt with the items "she bought". Please save yourself the time and headache and go somewhere reliable!

If I could give this place -0 I would! It will not let you post your comment without choosing a star... Location (-Ron Hoover Donna) Horrible experience for my mother in law. She recently purchased a 2022 Flagstaff Micro Lite TT. She paid out of pocket almost the full price cash which was $22,000.

I do not do bad reviews unless they are warranted. I love giving good reviews to help other consumers.
When they did the delivery and set up the man that came cursed the whole time while backing it into our backyard unprofessional! I guess he did not like where we wanted it. If he was not experienced in delivering and baking up a TT he should not be the one doing the drop offs. He dropped it off and took off. He DID NOT level it, nor did he hook up anything. The TT was filthy inside untouched! You would think for that price paying cash especially for an elderly lady they would have hooked it up and leveled it. The TT should also have been detailed inside and out before drop off.

Also inside the Murphy bed was broken and the power plug to the TT had burnt black tips on the end. She went back to speak to them about the plug and they sent her home with the wrong plug. She was beyond upset at this point.

My husband went back with her and they proceeded to tell them they did not have those electrical plugs anymore that hook directly into the TT. My husband found one on Ebay in 2 sec and showed the man there. They did not offer any compensation on the bed that was broken or to even compensate for the 50.00 plug we now have to buy for her TT for the actual power of the unit.

I'm so thankful we are here to help her since they did not and took advantage of her and was only focused on the money.

That's okay my husband works for a 55+ Rv park and will make sure to let all consumers know of this business and not to use them. The amount of 55+ Winter Texans that come through the Rio Grande Valley each season is a big business for companies like this and we have access to let them know about these horrible business practices. Which we will share with the park he works in and all the other ones that are owned by them. I hope this review helps someone not get taken advantage by the Donna Ron Hoover Location.

Pretty bad experience for purchasing my first RV, on the day that I’m supposed to pick it up they tell me the awning is not operational and the warranty does not cover it since it was a pre-owned, not only that but I also find out that the septic system has a leak and also one of the fittings to attach one of the drain hoses is also not working and is also not covered even after I purchased the extended warranty, overall very shady-like business, I regret buying my first RV with these people but I guess now I’m stuck with it

Just bought a travel trailer from Ron Hoover in Donna, TX. What a great place! Lots of selections to browse. Go find Carlos Calvillo if you are even slightly interested. The best. He showed me several trailers that were the kind I was looking for. Didn't waste my time trying to up-sell me. Great experience. Even the sales was enjoyable. Everyone was very willing to work with us to craft the payments. They even stayed way past their closing time on a Friday night. You cannot find many places that will do that. Totally two thumbs up to them. Way up!

We had a concern with the ac in our new rv. We contacted Xavier and he relayed our concerns over to Raul in service. Raul right away sent a technician to our house to check the rv. We were advised to take it in instead so they could further inspect the issue. Xavier kept us informed the whole time.
The issue was resolved right away.
Xavier, Raul, and Junior were very helpful and professional.

Terrible place, they are so friendly while I purchased a brand new keystone outback and paid cash. They had it delivered and I paid for that also. Once they had thier money I reached out to numerous people for different problems that arose and never heard from anyone including the service department. I live in this unit full time. I had major water leaks in the big slide that went into the wall and floor. The lock to open the door to come in has busted. Plus much more. My sister went there today to pick up my plate and registration that they have had since June and here we are in September. Never received a call saying it was ready to pick up. You think when you pay close to 60 thousand dollars cash it would be better service. Never ever will I go back to the Donna office. I also will be in touch with keystone about this whole issue I've had.

Called Junior about installing a Blue Ox baseplate for my car. Junior was fast, efficient and order the right parts the first time. Good communication- return calls. Junior is a pro - he cares and wants to do a good job. Rarely see this type of professionalism these days. My new go-to person for all things RV!

Service is the worst. I have been needing on site repair for two weeks. Larry Morgan, the service manager said he was going to call within two days. I have not heard from him. They can sell you a unit but not service at residential sites. Never again.

If I could give NO stars, I would! I’ve been to several other places that sell RVs and the sellers NEVER left our side, they were there to answer all our questions and show us around! But at Ron Hoover, that wasn’t the case! The sells guy MIGUEL was the WORST. As soon as he heard us say we were just looking, he’s attitude SWITCHED. He dropped us off at one RV and left. Like hello, we have questions! So when we saw another seller by his customers side, we asked to call someone, unfortunately it was the same guy that left us. I told him that I didn’t appreciate being left behind and he said well you wanted to look so there you go. Then when I spoke to the manager, which Miguel made sure to get to first, Xavier was like “um okay, let’s sit and talk numbers” like what??? We haven’t even seen anything!? You need to handle your sales guy first. And both with the BIGGEST smirk! Terrible terrible people! Terrible service and made the name to this place horrible. I asked for someone higher and what do you know, Xavier is the highest of them all?? Yeah right, no one like him deserves to be in his little sales manager position.

Don’t go here unless your paying in full. DONT use Elvis Leasing! Even having co signers will drag you down just missing one payment. Elvis leasing is a whole other negative review.

Took boat in for small oil leak and normal service. Quick turnaround. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Only complaint was they replaced my boat's battery without asking. They claimed it wouldn't hold a charge and didn't work, but it seemed fine a couple of months ago when I took the boat out and still started it in my yard. Battery wasn't that expensive, but $52 to install it seemed steep. All in all it was a good.

Service department really stinks and they have a really poor way communicating with customers. What should have been 2-3 day’s service, took 2 weeks. Took my boat less than a year of purchase for a warranty, and they told me that no need to fix it because it was going to have the same issue. After I refuse to pick it up and demand it that they fix the issue under warranty, that was the red flag not to take it to them for any service in the near future. Sad to say that I was about to purchase an RV with them and because of the service I received from them, I am
Considering buying an RV elsewhere. Stay away from this place. You have been warned.

Don’t recommend this place to anyone. I’m really not one to complain or leave reviews but it’s just ridiculous at this point and if this review can save someone else from making a mistake and purchasing from this place then great. So as I was waiting for a call back from a new job I had applied for. I decided to go look at rv’s just in case. Found one I liked, used, nothing fancy but nice and cozy. Salesman did a really good job at convincing me it was a great rv with no issues. I pointed out the stabilizers were pretty rusted and didn’t look in great condition so i asked if they could put new ones and his response was “we test everything before you take it so if anything needs to be replaced we’ll replace it.” They didn’t replace them and after 2 weeks i get home from work and find one of the stabilizers bent, pretty much in half. Didn’t even last a month. Not to mention I arrived at the rv park, set up and went to bed to start work the next day only to come home to find water coming out of the inlet to the fresh water tank. So i called and apparently nobody could help. After selling me the warranty and telling me if anything happens they would send someone out to fix it wherever I’m at. But they left out the part where i couldn’t make a claim in the first 30 days. And they argued with me that they tested everything and everything was fine. First month got some rain and again came home from work to find water leaking through the windows. When looking at the rv i also mentioned the gas lines looked pretty bad and again “ we’ll test them to see if their good.” Lasted maybe 2 months till they started leaking. One of the outlets hasn’t worked since the first day. And today i decided to connect my cable line since i get direct tv with the rv spot and guess what… doesn’t work.
So thank you Ron Hoover Donna for giving me the worst first experience in purchasing my first rv.

Purchased a boat on 9/17/2022, as of today, 12/31/2022, they are still playing games, management included, and have not submitted title paperwork for the boat, motor, or trailer. Stay away from this place, they routinely engage in deceptive practices and do not operate their business with integrity or honor.

Once they have your money, they will leave you high and dry. Don’t trust these guys.

Once my situation has been resolved, I will post an updated and thorough review of my experience.

Said the boat I bought had a rebuilt motor. But motor has a fuel leak and disconnected linkage. It’s used but no integrity as far as selling boats that have visual problems. Supposedly was looked at before I bought it but I guess that was not the case. It ran at the dealership but who knows if they had it warmed up by the time I got there. Tire blew out on the trailer less then 5 miles from the dealership and they said it’s my problem along with every issue I’ve had in the 2 weeks I’ve owned it. Worst customer service hands down, I knew a used boat would be some work eventually but right off the bat is bad business.

Don’t go here expecting to get a fair offer in your rig. Had a high end travel trailer semi new. They offered me almost 15k under market value. Declined their offer and sold it in a private sale within a week, at another dealer in Palmview that helped me out.

Great sale person Rudy just beware of service department trying to sell you rv hookups for first time buyers I was ripped off 300-400 dollars of rv hookups when I there was a way more affordable at Wal-Mart. They took advantage of the fact that I was a first time buyer a 430 dollars for surge protecter? With no returns with no sign posted of company policy. I was ripped off don't by service items there and they need to train there younger staff there on explaining company policy to customers.

It’s crazy to think in 2022 that a reputable dealer would not accept an approval from a bank to purchase a vehicle. I drove 5 hours to purchase a Slingshot that they have had up for sale for almost 30 days. I gave them my pre-approval check from Navy Fed and they stated they would not accept it because they don’t want to wait to get paid. Huh?! They want money directly wired or a check? Good luck to folks that buy from these people.

This is a company standing on no moral ground. My disabled father in law purchased a class A motor home in July of 2021 for $53,000 (not including tax). He placed over half of the sale in cash and financed the other $32,00 in financing through Don Hoover RV (Iron Horse/Family Funding). Unfortunately, my father in law passed away this month. We, his out of state family, were in need of selling the motor home. Don Hoover and multiple dealers will only purchase the unit for less than half of what he paid only 7 months ago. We sat down, presented all the receipts of sale and cash upgrades (Over $4,000) put into the unit over the last 6 months. My father in law was targeted and lured into a predatory purchase that had no actual appraised value. Then when we asked them to present a "fair" purchase offer (loan amount plus cash upgrades), they would not even match the funding THEY PROVIDED. Unfortunately, the in house lender will now have to take possession of this unit due to the over inflated APR % and low appraised value. I am sure Don Hoover will turn around and make another profit on this unit. We are just sick over this entire interaction and hope this review can keep at least 1 customer from making a similar mistake.

Scheduled an appointment to check for a propane leak. Marcos got me right in. Tech found the problem to be a faulty regulator. Had the problem fixed and I was back on the road in 2 hours. Which for RV repair is almost a record for me.

We had a mishap during our summer travels in the midWest, and needed two basement doors replaced as well as the roof above the windshield repainted on our Class A 40 foot Forest River Berkshire. I started working with Aaron of RH back in October, knowing that ordering the parts from Forest River would take time. We made the trip down to the RGV from ABQ,arriving on the 3rd of January. Our thought was that it would take 12 days to get the repairs completed - they did the repairs in 3 days ( because all the parts needed had arrived) They did a great job at a good price - very happy with the work done.

I wasn’t in the market or desperate to trade. I was simply window shopping and walked in and was immediately greeted with a smiling face! Explained how I was looking but wasn’t to serious, and my sales lady showed me around found a unit that I love, and they began to run numbers on my trade to get me the best deal possible. The finance team did their thing! I told them what I was looking for in a payment, and down payment if needed, they knocked it out of the park and got me what I needed/wanted! The day of pickup the amazing woman who was showing me around my camper, and the ins and outs left no stone unturned! She showed me everything! She was also very educational on certain things I was uncertain of!

To everyone who took part in this journey my wife and I, and our little one, thank y’all from the bottom of our hearts! If we ever trade again, this will be where I go! Thank y’all so much!

So apparently Ron Hoover doesn’t like to work on Grand Design trailers even if they are dealers for Grand Design unless you buy the trailer directly from them. Terrible customer service and bs every time they open their mouths. I even called Grand design directly and let them know. They told me to take it elsewhere even to another rv dealer even if they don’t sell Grand Design and they would take care of it

We just can’t say enough good things about Ron Hoover RV sales and service. We have bought two motorhomes from Hoover‘s and the salesman Ferrmin sold both of them to us the training we received because we were newbies was phenomenal. We have had additional items added to our motorhome and we have worked with both Junior and Larry and they both did an amazing job along with their service team. We wouldn’t buy a motorhome anywhere else.

The salesman was very good he went above and beyond to make it work for us. That said literally everything else was a train wreck. It took 6 months to get my license plates bc they sent the title and registration to someone else who put a bank lien against it. I couldn’t use my boat for months because of this. I called 12 times trying to resolve this and all the staff I spoke to was zero help. I’d buy from someone else. Prices are steep and service is horrible

Our Salesperson saved our vacation!
We bought a 2021 Grand Design Imagine XLS 17 MKE and we discovered during our first outing that the water heater didn’t work. We were told that it wouldn’t be fixed after being there 2+ weeks and we had a big trip planned. I alerted my salesperson, ALAN SMITH and told him our situation and how upset we were. The sale staff deserve all 5 stars because they are super helpful. In the other hand the engineers or mechanics, deserve this rating or even less. I did not have the best experience and the one year warranty is a joke. I left my travel trailer with a list of things to do but they were only able to do half the work, if that. Some of the things that were completed weren't even completed. I left my trailer there for over a month, expecting a call to pick up my trailer. When I called, they said my trailer was done over a week ago and why I haven't picked it up. Did not understand how I was suppose to know that my trailer was finished. Just wanted to share my experience.

BUYER BEWARE!!! Do not buy used from this dealership. They sell their used units "AS IS" and they mention it several times during the transaction. They do not stand behind the units they sell. I purchased a used camper and after the first big rain, we had water in the camper. Further investigation leads us to a water damaged ceiling and mold growing between the insulation and roof of camper.

Stopped by to pickup a drop shipment. It didn't go well, part of it was my fault (no confirmation email) part of it was theirs. I received a call that the parts were ready but when I got there they couldn't find the order and when they found it they didn't know what happens next. The select of parts and accessories was extensive, they just didn't have what I was looking for hence the special drop shipment.

Worst service department ever. Got an appointment to take in my rv about three week ago and at first they tell me they are two weeks behind schedule which I was okay with but I keep calling to check up on the status and all they would tell me is that they don’t know when they’re are going to get to it. Worst part is that I went over this week and they told me it could take up to several months and straight up they didn’t know when it was going to get done. In my opinion, any service department should have a time line and be able to provide positive feedback to the customer. Customer satisfaction should be key. I don’t know if they don’t have workers or what’s going on but they should also tell you the truth & not just that they are two weeks behind schedule. Management should look into this issue. I would appreciate it.

Directed by Grand Design to call for service at Ron Hoover. I did and was turned down. The service writer said, "They were really booked up and because I didn't purchase the unit from them, they couldn't accommodate me". Don't worry Ron Hoover, I will never purchase a future RV from you. KMA!

If you have the credit and want a RV and are located in the valley' I highly recommend buying from this place. If you do swing by ask for Rudy.

I had a great pleasure of working with this salesman. He took the time to listen to me, hear my needs and showed me a listing of the RVs on site including walk thrus; never was there a moment where he rushed me or where i felt forced to buy something i didnt want to. Heck he even got me a few coronas.

Days later when i brought the RV to my land i had a small issue with restroom door not closing. I brought into shop for servicing and was sorta given to run around until i reached out for Rudy. This man took the time to listen to me and take a look at the RV and made sure we had looked at the RV with slide out just to be sure everything was 100% before sending me off.

What was supposed to be a few days in the shop, ended up being a hour all because he put the right people in place to look at it while everyone else were out on lunch.

So if you do swing by ask for Rudy, he is a great salesman, will listen to your needs without making you any pressure or force any sales on you, will negotiate your offers n do his best to meet your demansa and will do his best to make sure you get the best treatment should any issues occur..

I purchased a used boat from them. From day one I had issues with it. I kept taking it back and problem was never resolved. I had to pay out of pocket to get it done correctly. Now I have bigger issues with it, and they can't do anything about it even though the problem was already there. The service after the sale here is horrible. We will never buy from this place again.

Great selection and good sales staff. However, once the sale is made they have the absolute worst service.
I have since talked directly with the manufacturer and was advised that I am better off calling a local service company, paying for the repair and sending the manufacturer the bill for reimbursement. Because "Ron Hoover is notorious for not wanting to deal with warranty work".

Salesmen are very unprofessional did not try to help me buy a boat from them.They false advertise in offer up and website putting pictures of boats with accessories and saying boats have low hours and when you ask them to show you the hours they say the gauges dont work and they say "customers said it has those hours." well prove it?I wouldn't recommend buying from them unless you want to overpay!

Bought my camper the guys real nice , after a year I took it back to for service everyone rude like if they don’t want me there and I call to see if it was ready and they ask me “have we called you” I said no , they told me so it’s ready then. Do not recommend.
