My boyfriend and I decided to stop by and try this place, the reviews do not lie!!!! This is one hell of a place! I got the chicken and waffles sandwich, and my bf got the steak tacos with soup! When I tell you this ain’t the last time we are comin, I tell no lie! Waitress was attentive and kind, and the cooks really did their thing! For the two of us it came to less than 35$! We will be back!

My son came home for a visit and wanted fried okra. I googled best fried okra and this diner came up. It was a 40 minute drive, and I’m so glad we made it. The food was excellent! We will be making the drive again! All 5 of use ordered something different, and we all said we had the best choice, lol.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile. Our server Monica provided us with great customer service. She even introduced us to Nate, who the restaurant was named after. Nate was awesome and cool. We had the big breakfast plate and the chicken and waffles and it was all amazing. They were also collaborating with a fundraiser in front of their restaurant which goes to show us that Nate's Diner supports the community and collaborate with it. Overalls great food amazing service and an amazing family owned Diner. We will definitely be returning back to Nate's Diner and recommended that's all our family and friends.

Wow this place is a real hidden gem. The staff was really nice and attentive, she gave us plenty of time to look over the menu and explained the contents of a few dishes we asked about. The food was DELICIOUS and HOT. Everything tasted fresh and properly cooked through. The Eggs Benedict was also delicious! I'm excited to visit this place again and bring my friends and family. This was a great experience. The portions were big and the prices are fair. If you want high quality breakfast, lunch and dinner, I recommend this place! Next time we're trying the burgers.

First time here at Nate’s with the family. Hands down, a hidden gem! The food was amazing, definitely coming back again. The service was excellent, we did come in right after the a storm of people. Cynthia was our server and she was on top of things! Thank you, for our delicious meal!

My son came home for a visit and wanted fried okra. I googled best fried okra and this diner came up. It was a 40 minute drive, and I’m so glad we made it. The food was excellent! I had the steak tips with eggs and hash browns, and they were amazing! It also came with a waffle, which was a nice bonus. I was in the area for work and needed a place to grab a bite—so glad I stumbled upon this spot. Everything was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend.

Breakfast was great and so was the coffee. The portions were perfect. I had the chicken fried steak. Service was great. The atmosphere was cool with the 50s and 60s music playing in the background. I'll be back, maybe for lunch. You should drop in if you're in the area.

Saw an advertisement on a fence on my way to work… Instead of driving across town for some food, I told my daughter let’s try Nate’s Diner… She asked, “where’s that, is the food good”? I replied, “I don’t know we’re trying it together”… We tried it that one time, and we haven’t stopped coming !!! The food is amazing !

Was really skeptical at first but the food and service were excellent. Very military friendly establishment with some very homemade tasting food. Some inique blends of food and a good mix of different styles of food on the menu. Worth the trip to go here.

I've eaten here and from here maybe 3 times and minus a small issue the first time, I don't remember what it was lol because I still enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Today I got Salmon Eggs Benedict and it was to go. The food was very good, really quick and nice service with decent portions.

The food is alright. Very peppery and chewy. The steak was undercooked. French toast was good.
Service was pretty good, the woman was very sweet and the young men check in fairly often st tables, but they do clatter the food down and walk away
Atmosphere is very political. Its really annoying that restaurants got political. I don't want to see flags when I eat.

I'm looking for a good place to grab a burger malls in town for business and saw that Nates diner had good reviews. I cannot express enough how delicious it was, service was friendly, food was exactly what I needed. Would definitely come back on future trips into town.

Nate’s Diner serves good food, but they've gotten my order wrong twice in a row. Yesterday, I ordered a Philly cheesesteak crepe and received a sandwich instead. Today, I ordered a Nutella crepe and got a banana and strawberry crepe. Two different meals, both wrong, back to back.

A true hidden gem. Found from a Google review when the power was out due to hurricane Berral. First, tried the steak tips. Excellent flavor. Cooked perfectly. Came back and had breakfast. Waffle was cooked perfectly. Everything was made exactly the way I wanted it. The music is awesome.

1st and last time. Brought my mother for her birthday breakfast. My dad and got the chicken fried steak, eggs and hash brown with saute onions and cheese. Meat looked like it was refried it was dry and over cooked. No onions and cheese on our hush browns. Also all the food was cold.

I literally LOVE Nate’s Diner! I’m originally from New York and when I moved to Houston I was on a desperate search for a diner that was as good if not better than one from back home. Nate’s Diner surely has surpassed that for me. The food is delicious everytime we’ve went. I’m constantly bringing family that’s in town and it’s usually my top choice in places I want to go eat at in the morning or afternoon. I’ve never been disappointed with the food or the service, I literally have zero complaints.

Went for first time visit and got breakfast with my girl. Food was super fresh and came out hot! Great old school styled American diner. Portions were great and the flavors were on point. If you’re going for breakfast get the big meal with a Belgian waffle 🤌.

This was my first time eating here, I ordered my food Togo I felt rushed when I was ordering my food. Maybe if I eat in I would have felt better but the restaurant looks like it needs to be deep cleaned especially the floor and walls. Little kids running around as well the food was ok for the reasonable price.

I had their breakfast and lunch/dinner. My favorite was Nate’s special burger & their onion rings! Meat is juice and not dry & it’s massive. Love their buns,onion rings are crispy but not burnt or too oily !! It’s a small space so it gets packed quick. I usually do pick ups, but I did dine a couple of times. They’re quick won’t have you waiting for your order. What disappointing is they are ONLY grubHub..

First time eating here. Food was SOOOO GOOD! However, the restaurant itself was dirty. When we walked in our shoes were sticking to the floor, the empty tables all needed to be cleaned and the restrooms were both out of toilet paper and toilets were dirty. Our waiter, a young man, didn’t come by to refill drinks and the time we placed our orders until it came to our table was about 25-30 minutes. I don’t think I will return.

Nice place to grab a bite. I was eating lunch with some coworkers who suggested this location. I'm pleasantly surprised by how filling the meal was. There are not a lot of options, but what they do serve, they do well.

We would have been here long ago if we'd known about Nate's. The menu offers a good variety of choices...so making a decision was the thing. We went with a Nate's burger, which looked exactly as pictured on the menu and a chicken fried chicken breakfast. Both were excellent! The service was great and Javier, the owner and Nate's dad, came out to visit with us. We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere, people and delicious meals. Will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu! Highly recommend Nate's Diner!!

Delicious food, big portions and a fair price. The interior has about 15 tables and seats about 4 persons each. The service is quick and friendly. Large menu selection. This was a much better dining experience than the big chain breakfast joints.

First time here and I got the food to go. I’m pleasantly surprised at how good the food is. I got the chicken and waffles with a large cup of coffee. It was all very good! I ordered the food and it was ready within 10-15.

Showed up before 8am (their opening time) and waited until that time to walk towards the entrance with a coworker as we were meeting with two other coworkers for a breakfast meeting. The door was locked, I knocked and could see someone was in the kitchen but we ended up having to wait until an employee pulled up in their car at 8:10am to open up the door. We walked in behind the employee and weren't greeted or told where to sit or given menus. My coworker and I found a booth and waited five minutes for the staff to greet us and offer us drinks. We were waiting for two other people but made our drink order which wasn't brought out until the last person arrived ten minutes later.
The cups were huge and one of my coworker's cold coffees was also large and looked and tasted yummy. I ordered the chicken and waffles and two medium eggs. There didn't seem to be any complaints about the food from my coworkers or I, and as we were the only patrons in the restaurant the service started to get better. Overall, aside from the place not being opened on time and a bad start to the service the food was okay, nothing spectacular but priced correctly.

I like this place. The food was delicious dinner style stuff. The omelette was stuffed with all tasty ingredients. Chicken tenders were fried just right, but kinda lacked seasoning. Pancakes and waffles could use some work. I thought they were a little gritty. And they heavily use cheese and it's super good on whatever you put it on. I recommend it. Staff was nice and kitchen was fast, a combo that everyone loves.

We love Nate’s. A family owned place with reasonable prices and good food quality. The coffee is good and the French toast is notable. Mexican Breakfast is one of my go-to’s (usually Huevos a la Mexicana or Migas) and the chicken that comes with the Chicken and Waffles is delicious.

The food is great! Husband and I came for the first time last week and service was amazing. Came today and service was horrible! No one bothered to check on us, no refills (until I said something) and I see the other clients getting service like it should be. VERY DISSAPOINTED ON TODAY'S VISIT!!!! I found this location by googling best restaurants near me. It was my first time coming here. There was only 1 young lady assisting with taking the order, bringing out the food, wiping the tables and ringing up your order. She was very very nice. She was patient and I asked her about recommendations. She recommended some dishes based off what I had a taste for. I ordered the chicken fried steak with mash potatoes and a salad as my 2 sides. They do close at 3pm, but it is an open menu like breakfast items, lunch and dinner items. Everything was delicious. The establishment is not huge but it wasnt crowded. I will be returning.

Delicious breakfast, I had up to 2 cups of coffee and they didn't offer more during my 2 hours visit. Other than that the service was great.
The restroom needs to be cleaner, mostly the door knobs that were sticky and didn't have paper towels.

Great family owned restaurant! such great food and great prices! the pancakes are so light and fluffy. I’ve tried the steak too and it’s great, the big breakfast is really big and a great spread. my buddies tried the chicken fried steak and it looked amazing. last time I went I got to meet nate! he’s the kid they named the restaurant after and everyone is so nice.

It was very good! Looks a little sketch from outside and is small inside but it was clean and the people are very friendly. Food was so good! We had the Bacon Cheeseburger with added grilled mushrooms amd fries and the Spinach Avocado Burger with onion rings. The burgers were juicy, and both fries and onion rings very tasty.

This place has lots to look at all over the walls like the cool art work that was done back in 2018, and great oldies playing not too loud but good enough for you to Wana start singing along. Service was good and quick even with there being a good number of people here. Now, as for the breakfast, OMG!!! 😋 Absolutely Delicious!! Fair warning it's hot from being freshly made, but oh, you definitely have to come in and try it out for yourself. I'm leaving one happy pregnant mama and my boys are all stuffed and especially dad. That's a complete win! Thank you guys so much for a wonderful breakfast. ❤️

Nice place, food is really good, very nice presented.
Smaller on the inside than I expected, though.
But lots of good options for different diets & easily can make changes to a dish with no fuss.
My bacon needed to be more well done, though... But that's my only complaint.

We went to our fathers grave at the Houston National Cemetery and looked for food places near there, Nate's was the first to appear. Nate's had such good ratings we picked it and my goodness are we thankful we did.
We were a group of 6 including 1 child. We got seated promptly, served our drinks and our order was taken swiftly. Some of us ordered lunch which was wonderful and some ordered breakfast which was even better, imho.
The home potatoes were delicious, the hashbrown were crispy but still soft in the middle. The chicken and waffles were phenomenal. The fried okra is outstanding. The biscuits and gravy were drool worthy. Their sourdough toast was also amazing.
One person got the sirloin steak with green beans and fried okra and said it was all fantastic.
One person got the philly cheesesteak sammie with onion rings and said it was the best they had ever had, the onion rings were soooo good.
One person got chicken and waffles and they were amazing.
One person got the biscuits and gravy meal with sausage patties, home fries and eggs sunny side up. It was so good!!!!! If i had to complain it would be there was no sausage in the gravy, but it didn't matter it was so good. The biscuits look thin but they are so good.
We also had the Texas scramble, which was also delicious.
The whole experience was great and if you are nearby, try it!

Great food at a decent price with friendly service! The only thing I could say is the syrup could be sweeter. Hash browns in an omelet is genius

Picked a place for brunch at random. Great family owned dinner. Packed with customers.. Immediately had a good feeling. Doesn't look like it. But this is one of those hole in the wall places you hear about. Because the food/coffee was spot on!

I was pleasantly surprised when I requested a mexican styled omelet. I received a folded omelet covered with cheese and speckled with chorizo and mushrooms then four beautiful healthy green stripes of avocado. It was amazing!!! I loved it. The server was kind and pleasant.
