The brisket was dry, the ribs were good. Though the ribs had bones on the meat cuts. Tried the jalapeño corn but it was super sweet and not spicy enough. The "charro" beans were more like a Texas chili than mexa frijoles... the bbq sauce saved the day tho! I was dipping that brisket like a dry jerky chip, but it worked.

On our first visit here and the smell gets your attention from outside. The food was pretty good. Tried the Big puma tater and the potatoe over all was good. Chicken a little dry but mixed together was good. We also had the brisket dinner plate which was good. Like that they have so many tvs to catch a good Astros game. 👍🏼

I asked for a baked potato all the way no meat and sauce on the side and two baked potatoes with Turkey all the way. I got a plain potato with absolutely nothing on it…. NOT WHAT I SAID!!!! Then the other two potatoes are cold and gummy and dry…. Not worth the $50.00 I just spent. This was the worse experience here ever. We have been customers of this establishment when this establishment was next to NW Mall. That tells you how long. The original owners did what they said and the food was always fresh and never over cooked and the service has really gone downhill. Not a good way to start the weekend after working all week. Thanks for dinner being messed up and service being poor.

Ate in the bar. The Bartender Amanda is a pro. Ordered the special blackened catfish. It was the best I have ever had. Was not expecting that from a BBQ place. Had a rack of ribs, best in Houston.

I enjoyed the food and it hit the spot when needing a quick meal. I hear about it on ESPN radio so much that I had to try. I was surprised that a place with a drive through could have such quality food.

Got some Mac and cheese and brisket Frito pie to try it out a little while back. I plan to go back and try more of that they have to offer! I thought the prices were very reasonable and the selection huge!

normally we LOVE Demeris but today we ordered to go and we are very disappointed. Kids chicken strips are basically burned batter. We for bbq sauce on the side so it won't spill and they ignored us. maybe just this time. I am hoping or don't order kids chicken strips hoping to not break the kid's teeth

If you want to try some truly terrible BBQ look no further try this. Their only redemption was their sauce and green beans. The pulled pork literally tasted like gasoline. I'm sure the cook (I simply can't call them a pitmaster) lit fire with fuel and didn't even burn off.

I tried this yesterday and still feel sick.

Yuck eat at your own risk.

P.s. staff was friendly and helpful as was atmosphere.

Don’t come here for a HOT baked potato! Apparently they don’t know what that is anymore. Everything frozen including the meat. They suck go to Goodie Compsny they baked potatoes are the best and always hot and ready with any toppings.

The brisket was dry and flavorless, the French fries were greasy cold and soggy. I was forced to pay a 10% gratuity for a take out order. I worked in the service industry and I'm a generous tipper of at least 20% but when I am forced to pay a gratuity I pay the minimum, They didn't even deserve that! Ever since they changed owners, years ago, the quality of the food has gone way down and the prices have increased dramatically. This will be the last time I eat at Demeris! Please don't waste your time and money, go somewhere else.
Sincerely a former customer of over 30 years who is now forced to find a new BBQ restaurant.

Good drive through service, nice lady works the window. I get a chopped beef/brisket sandwich or sliced beef sandwich and an unsweetened ice tea. I got the fries once and didn’t much care for them, so now I get Mac n cheese instead

We tried this place for the first time today. The food was very very bland. We had ordered a chopped brisket baked potato and brisket/sausage sandwich with potato salad. There just wasn’t any flavor.

I stopped in yesterday because I had the BBQ itch for lunch and I've known that demeris BBQ has been around for years since the northwest mall days ago that had to mean something, right?

Stopped in and ordered a 14$ brisket sandwich.. which is a rip off imo because burns had the same sandwich with better quality cooking for 9$ but if you going to charge premium price for your meats the least you can do is make sure it's in the best quality and condition when serving. When I finally sat down to eat i removed my avg size sandwich w maybe five 5" slices of brisket on a cold potato bun or Hawaiian bun. The brisket was hard, semi cold and clearly reheated and reused from a previous shift. Every bite was like stuffing a thick cold wash towel down your throat. I wish idve taken pics but I took two bites and literally threw that ish in the trash. And the fries are literally grease sponges. They lack crispness and they go into the order right out the fryer; didn't seem like they let the oil strain before serving. I was extremely disappointed in this location.. but being honest when I walked in I saw the clientele and the staff and it makes sense why nobody talks about this being a go to BBQ place in my culture. Meal was a lunch disappointment and a waste of 20$ .. I could've gotten two meals and an appetizer from Applebee's hot and fresh compared to this nonsense

Went through the drive thru this afternoon. Was in a bit of a hurry, but they got me out of there wicked fast and delivered my food exactly the way I asked for it. Very pleasant to work with and packed up everything they thought I might need. Demeris Rocks!

I've enjoyed Demeris Bar-B-Q ever since they were in Town & Country, (the original T & C). We visited the West Loop location the other day and WoW. It's still as good as it's ever been if not better. It's all really been said in all the other 5 Star reviews. Just go, and enjoy some good old Houston Bar-B-Q at a good old Houston restaurant. 👍👍👍👍👍😊

Went there just because our hotel was nearby, visiting Houston for a couple of days for business. From the moment that we walked to the place I knew we would eat good! The smell and aroma from the smoked meat was all over the parking lot. Entering we were welcomed with a smile. Food was prepared really fast and the beers were ice cold! Had the brisket tacos. Probably the best tacos I've had so far! Pulled pork sandwiches to die for! Juice and tasty. Baby back ribs that melted in your mouth! Although the portions were big, because they were so tasty, we ordered a second round! Seriously I don't know how we managed to get up from the table and walk to the hotel. Amazing food, great staff, what else can someone ask for. I hope we have enough time to visit one more time before flying back to Greece. Συγχαρητήρια! Το φαγητό σας είναι υπέροχο.

All you can eat ribs was terrible! The ribs tasted like they had been reheated several times. The sauce also tasted more like Vinegar than an actual sauce! Very disappointed expirence this time around. I would though recommend the baby backs...

Simply Amazing because of the staff that work here. It’s been forever since we have been in but still the same great place. Have to say the lady taking our order couldn’t be any sweeter and so kind. One of the servers even brought our son a cookie after checking on us multi times too. This is the kind of service all restaurants need. Love y’all!!!

Standard bbq spot, the cafeteria style line went by very quickly and the staff was very friendly. However, if you’re looking a good bbq spot in Houston, there are lots of places that have much better food to offer. Meats were average if not below average. Sides were okay, the Mac and cheese was box quality and the potato salad tasted like a straight up pickle. I would’ve given a 3 for the food, as it was very average, but the burger really brought it down. The burger meat tasted like school lunch quality. Not the worst but certainly not the best bbq.

When you ask 3 times for them to put the sauce on the side for your to go order and they slop a TINY bit of sauce all over the dry meat instead of putting it on the side and don't even give you enough for the three meat dish that you ordered.. very frustrating and unfortunately happens every single time. Had somebody in from out of town and told them how good this place was and it was pretty terrible when it arrived. Probably my last visit. Brisket was extremely dry & sausage had no flavor. The only thing good about this meal was the Rudy's barbecue sauce I used with it, since they always put enough extra sauce in the bag. ....on the side. Sorry guys, do better.

I ordered a burger online. It was ready when I arrived. The burger was great. I found it a little odd that they didn't put the fixings I ordered on the burger. They came in plastic bags and I had to put them on. Including the mayo. But, I'll be back.

I ordered a potato to go and they got it wrong. I drove all the way back and they didn’t want to make it correct. I went 5 miles out of my way and Jairo Mendozo refused to make it right. To make it worse, I had tipped the drive through cashier 33% but they couldn’t double check my order before packaging it up and handing it to me. I expect that from McDonald’s but wasn’t expecting it from demeris. I’ll be looking elsewhere as there are many bbq options in houston.

First time trying this place today. I had the Saturday special which was the all you can eat ribs. The meat was super tender and juicy. Cooked to perfection. They gave two sides to begin with and you can also get more sides with each order of ribs. Everything was fantastic. Employees were awesome too. I will be back for more!

I ate here along time ago it was good. Im reporting a issue with customer service. I asked for the special they said 20% off for church memebers but they must bring “order of service pamphlet”. I said The church didnt issue one thats only for special occasions or funnerals etc so i showed him my photo and told him i will eat in that was the other requirement he said its the owner that’s requiring a pamphlet and he will not give me the 20% off. I felt like it was descrimination because of my hair color. Anyway here is a photo of us from church.

My girlfriend and I visited Demeri’s over the weekend coming from Louisville, KY and it was hands down one of the best food experiences I’ve ever had.

After a long day at Kemah Boardwalk we caught Demeri’s right before close yet the atmosphere was very welcoming, the food was exceptional and the service was very caring. Houston’s food scene had lots to offer, but this one I’ll hold close to my heart and stomach for sure!

Ordered a beef poor boy. Asked for a small container of sauce. Poor boy prices have increased to outlandish levels. On top of that they wanted almost $5 extra for a small container of sauce. Ordered 2 meat dinners, baby back ribs and sausage. It was horrible. Tasted like it was baked, not on pit. I asked for onions, pickles and jalapeños with sauce on side. Didn’t get condiments and sauce was poured over meat. Potato salad was not homemade and pork n beans was not bbq beans. Worse food ever for $55.86 Will not be ordering from this business ever.

A bit disappointed bbq was ok plate was smothered in sauce brisket was a bit tough and not much flavor chicken was cold dont know what happened today?

Came in with a large group who chose this place by a majority vote. Foods are alright. Not comfortable when they are pushy upselling to add meats, meats, meats, meats, staff is obsessed with upsell meats on one's meal, to my vegetarian dishes. I make clear I don't want meat on any veggie meal or side dish. So, vegetarians, heads up, and be firm.

Cole slaw was good!!!! Potato salad was good. Onion rings, not well fried. Overall, it was alright.

The food is always on point. The pulled pork and ribs are my favorite. Their grilled chicken salad is so good when you want to eat light.
