My recent visit was a disappointment. Despite the fact that the place was empty, it took a long time to get my order. And when I got home, it was even more upsetting to realize that I was served old meat that had bern refried and was VERY dry and tasted oily with fried rice that was too salty.

I had an incredible dining experience at Michy's Chino Boricua restaurant! The sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and the crispy fries made me feel like I was back home. The garlic tostones were done exactly how we used to eat them—crispy and full of flavor. The eggroll tasted a bit different, but it wasn't bad at all. And of course, I had to put mayoketchup on everything there—it was amazing!

The environment inside is welcoming, and the presence of many Boricuas and other Latinos made me feel like I was truly back home. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a nostalgic Chinos meal just like they make it back in PR.

I tried Michy’s for the first time today after hearing so many good things about their food. I ordered the Shrimp Broccoli plate and the fried chicken. While the Shrimp Broccoli plate was decent, the fried chicken fell short of expectations. The fries were soggy, and the chicken had an unpleasant taste, as if it had been cooked in old grease.

The to-go packaging also left something to be desired. The sauce from the Shrimp Broccoli plate spilled out of the container and into the bag. Fortunately, it didn’t leak onto my vehicle, but it was an inconvenience.

Michy’s has a great reputation, so I’m hoping my experience was just a rare miss. I’d be open to trying them again and seeing if they live up to the positive buzz next time.

Best Mofongo in Houston!! My Puerto Rican friends at work recommended this place to me. I wish they had one where I live in Dallas, was just visiting when I went. Will definitely come back every time I’m in town.

Honestly, I couldn't have been happier! They really season their meat properly!!! The mayo sauce should be sold in a bottle!!! Usually, rice is an afterthought but not here! I can't wait to ce back! Keep up the great work!

I had so many high expectations of this place and it’s just the worse, super greasy, the garlic over powers all the salty food, I could not even taste the plantains. The pork in the rice also made the food poignant and salty. For sure I will not be coming back. Paid $60 for two plates and an esta side of rice and plantains that are pretty much going into the trash.

Food was above and beyond my expectations. Large servings! I was literally full till the next day with the amount of food. Had the sweet and sour and reminded me of the east coast version of the meal. Chicken was exceptionally seasoned and fried to perfection. Pork fried rice was delicious, haven't had pork fried rice like this since we moved from the east coast.

The only complaint are the egg rolls, they were super deep-fried. Borderline rock hard. Might be just my order, but it was dark brown vs. golden brown perfection like the fried chicken.

Highly recommended for the price and large servings.

Please do not compare this to Puerto Rican Chinese food. This is totally the opposite of good. The food was bland. The garlic chicken did not have any flavor or the barbecue ribs and the mofongo was decent never going there again.

La comida no tiene sabor, pedi pollo en salsa de naranja y era pollo en almíbar. El arroz frito pegasojo y esponjado y sirven en envase desechable y cubiertos desechable. La mesa estaba sucia, el mismo cliente le toca limpiar la mesa, pedir la comida, retirarla, y botar los envase. Todo es auto servicios y a la final piden propina por un servicios que no dan. Es costoso para un sitio que no ofrece un bien ambiente y lo que ofrecen, dos personas $50. Dudo mucho que así se la comida de PR.

The combination of chinese and Caribbean food is so good. This place is delicious. They might need to expand to a bigger location because it is always packed. Also, maybe closer to Cypress, I'd come more often, but both locations are like 30 minutes from my house.

A ver inicio por la mesa sucia.
- La comida era cualquier cosa; Sin sabor, mal cocida, la salsa sin gusto.
- La atencion, Cual atencion, no hay meseros, debes pedir en caja te dan una ficha y regresas a buscar tu comida y al terminar tu la tiras a la basura, Ah! Pero al cobrar si pregunta en caja el porcentaje de propinas que vas a dejar.
- utencilios, aunque pedimos para comer alli, nos entregaron la comida en bandejas desechables con tenedores plasticos.
- precio; El precio es alto considerando la calidad de la comida y servicio. 40.60 dolares 2 personas.
- Ambiente... Cual? No hace referencia a nada.
- En general, no puede ser llamado restaurante, es mas un comedor con mal servicio y mal sabor.

The food was delicious. I ordered the vaca frita con mofongo and a side of fried rice and my girlfriend ordered the pepper steak with mofongo, and we loved it! The place is clean and the workers are friendly. Kris the manager was very welcoming and made sure we were taken care of. I definitely recommend this place if you want to try something new and familiar.

El restaurante de Greenhouse está bien flojo.
El arroz esponjao, ni se cerca a la consistencia del arroz "chino/boricua", también soso, jamás tiene el sabor del arroz chino/boricua.
El mofongo seco.
También te preguntan si quieres "Sprite o Pepsi" y te dan una soda marca "Starry". Ósea Gato por Liebre.

Deben llamarle "Michys Chino Hispano", porque lo boricua ya no existe allí.
O llamen a los de PR o los de Florida para que les enseñen a cocinar con el verdadero sabor.
Les falta mucho para llegar al sabor real.
Y se los dice alguien que sabe de la cocina.

I just recently moved to Texas (4 months ago) and i’ve been in Puerto Rico all my life (22 years) I can tell you that this is the most puertorican chinese spot you’ll ever find in Katy 😂 trust me, I know. I haven’t tried the mofongo, but the combi china was just like a chinese place in PR. Felt like home 🇵🇷 I believe it’s fairly priced and they give the same amount of food like in the island. Definitely would buy here again whenever i miss Puerto Rico. Los tostones con ajo en la madre! 10/10

I was looking for a lunch spot nearby in Katy. I decided to try Michy’s out. It was a toss up between the lunch specials of fried chicken with pork fried rice or the orange chicken with pork fried rice

I chose the fried chicken. It was very good and crispy, perfectly seasoned. The fried rice was also delicious. The lunch specials are really cheap for the amount of food you get.

After ordering the family pack and paying for it online. I got to the store and was told that they only work chicken thighs and drumsticks. I believe they should correct the description as it only states fried chicken which is very confusing... If you don't like dark meat stay away from the fried chicken

Talk about the best fried chicken in town! I was soooo heart broken to find out it was not on the menu anymore. But I overall love the fried rice, and the rest of the menu but, I was really there for the chicken. I'll miss eating at michys.

Hoy quería probar cosas nuevas y una amiga me recomendó este lugar , la comida está muy rica , el arroz frito delicioso , y la carne muy bien hecha , el lugar está limpio y agradable , el único punto negativo es que la comida demoró mucho en estar preparada , a pesar de que solo estábamos yo y otra persona , no me quiero imaginar un día que esté lleno 😅, por lo demás lo recomiendo , precios muy buenos con 12 dólares te da para comer y para llevar 😁

The restaurant was very clean and bright, the service was great, and the food was amazing! I'm a Puerto Rican in Texas, so finding out about this place was the best thing to happen to my taste buds! I love the tostones with the mayoketchup, I love the boneless bbq ribs, and the rice is so flavorful. And the portions are large! This is my new favorite spot for fried rice and the tastes of Puerto Rico.

Absolutely fabulous flavors and tastes. Had the garlic shrimp with mofongo. Hubby had the sweet and sour chicken with tostones. So very happy to have tried this restaurant. Service is lovely and the staff so friendly. Really enjoyed.

Food was extremely delicious. Drove over an hour to eat here with family and it was definitely worth it. Tried the 787 roll and OMG it was insanely good. 10000/10 !

So far so good. Everything tastes fresh. Nice sized portions. Sweet and sour is good. Lomein is good. The employees are nice. Service is relatively fast too plus they have a drive thru. Give them a try. Haven't had anything i didn't like yet so I'm gonna try everything. I think the negative reviews could be competition honestly

Puerto Rican in Texas opened a restaurant in Houston emulating the Chinese restaurants we have in the island— and she nailed it!!! 💯🔥🔥🔥🔥 Tastes just like home.❤️🇵🇷Chinese restaurants in Puerto Rico serve tostones, fried chicken and fries, among other foods. Don’t expect rice and beans. Also, don’t expect typical Chinese cuisine. It’s not a a traditional PR restaurant nor a traditional Chinese restaurant, nor the combination of either. She simply brought the Puerto Rican-Chinese restaurant flavors to Houston. AMAZING!!!!! Enjoy with a Malta and a Tres Leches or Flan for dessert 💪

Nice place. Drove 14 miles to try it out. First having an open kitchen is a cool thing for clients to observe your process, but leaving 2 pots of older cooked rice doesn't give good vibes. Didn't like the rice. Ribs were delicious.....Steak felt reheated. Rangoon are good.... egg roll good.....I will try them again....sometimes people have bad days. I will run with that.

Si le pudiera dar cero estrellas lo haría, fue un total engaño el arroz no sabe a nada la carne es horrible no se imaginan, el pollo no se que es pero no parece pollo, es horrible la atención es pésima, es malísima la comida siento que perdí los 50$ que pagamos mi esposo mi hija y yo, fuimos ayer y nos sentimos arruinados, es increíble comentarios buenos que solo hacen que la gente vaya a perder su dinero, si quiere comer Grasa y Grasa y mas Grasa y comida malísima vaya a este lugar, no lo recomiendo!

Después de muchos años queriendo probar el mofongo se me dio y he aquí encontré este lugar maravilloso y delicioso 😋 y la atención de todos muy amigables y amables en especial Dalí y nos obsequiaron por primera vez un cheesecake súper delicioso para chuparse los dedos. Por favor no vayan a este lugar, ahorren el mal rato y el dinero.

Fuimos a probar por los reviews y la cuenta de IG pero les prometo es malísimo, la carne sabía a carne babosa, el pollo agridulce malísimo el arroz chino malísimo sin nada de sabor, el menú kids súper malo los nuggets de pollo, los tostones horribles con mucho ajo, la comida es de las malas que he comido en Houston.

Hace tiempo que no pasabamos por Michi's. Esta ves quedamos decepcionados. Pedimos una oferta familiar, arroz, tostones y dos carnes(BBQ boneless ribs y carne frita) El arroz no tenia nada de sabor. La carne frita y BBQ boneless ribs no lo van a creer pero Yo lo vi calentadola en un microwave en la esquina. Lo viii nadie me lo conto. La carne frita jamas parecia carne frita y estaba soggy. Para el precio que pagamos la cantidad fue minima (una miseria). Esperamos mas de media hora por nuestra orden. La muchacha le dijo a la señora "esa orden es de ellos" y la señora coquí, coquí ni caso. Los tostones secos y tambien parecian recalentados. Pedimos una orden aparte de dos presas de pollo con papitas para nuestra nieta y estaba tan duro y sobre cosinado el pollo que no pudo comerselo y las papas frias. No es la misma calidad que cuando fuimos varias veces anteriores (hace como un año atras) No se si le estan prestando mas atencion al Michi's de Katy y han descuidado o no lo supervisan como antes. Es lamentable gastar tanto dinero y sentir que fue en vano. No se si fuimos en mal momento cuando los empleados estaban en su tiempo de bromas y charlas. Fuimos alrededor de 12:30 pm mas o menos.

I don’t know how this place got 4.6 ⭐️. This food was horrible. I’m Puerto Rican and let me tell you nothing to rave about. The tostones and amarillos were greasy. The mofongo was aweful and smothered in onions and the pepper steak I’ll just stop. Horrible.

The best place to EAT that Comida china a lo boricua,they took me back to my Island...Deberian abrir uno en Dallas.Pero por esa comida manejo las 4 horas obligaoooo 🤤🤤👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
