I wanted to get in the bowl and bathe in the broth. Service was quick and very welcoming. Very bright, clean dining room. It definitely makes a sweet date spot.

It is quite a neat and cozy place for family gathering. The staffs are very friendly and welcoming, especially Pho is one of the best one we ‘ve eaten, the broth is clear and balanced flavours, it is rich enough but not too strong at all! Will come back for sure!

Really enjoyed the meal. I’ve tried a few Pho restaurants since landing in the Houston area.
We were greeted as we walked in the door and was treated like customers are supposed to be treated.
When you ready to warm your heart and your stomach, this is the place to come to. I will definitely be back.

The soup was ok & the sandwich didn't have much meat & their version of extra meat was like a piece or 2 of beef strips. The noodles were a little over cooked and bowls over priced but I get it, it's the location of business. We'll stick to what we know is good in Northwest side of town the greens and jalapeños were not fresh. As you can see they are soggy and black spots. No bueno. (Nice staff tho) oh and prices didn't match menu. We had to get it fixed.

This store has a new owner. All staff and menu were changed, and absolutely better than before. She was friendly and the restaurant was decorated a lot better than the last time I went. Food is great. Will definitely be back.

So this place is under new ownership due to COVID. I do miss the former owners but the new ones are doing a great job and have very good service. The Pho is still excellent, I will be coming back for great Vietnamese food and to support this local business!

I think the restaurant is called Pho Basil now. Me and my boyfriend came and ordered a chicken pho, shaken beef with rice, and beef spring rolls. It was the best pho in Houston I’ve tried! Sooo flavorful and the waiter was nice and food came out fast.

Walking in the staff was very accommodating. Was not very full and we seated ourselves. Started with the fried dumplings. Very small and did not have much flavor. I felt the Pho was somewhat bland on its own. I felt I had to add extra seasonings to develop a full flavor. We also had noodles. I think the Crispy noodles might have been better. Might give it another go.

One of the best pho in town! The signature is the way to go and is amazing! So delicious and flavorful. My friend had the fried rice really enjoyed his meal. Friendly service and quaint cozy setting. Highly recommended and looking forward to going back for more.

This place is gross. We were eating and a roach popped out and started to crawl on our table. I spoke to the manager and she said "it's normal there's roaches places. It happens." No that's gross I'm sorry but I don't think that it's normal to be eating and see a roach and then have no problem with it.

The food here is good if you don't mind waiting for it. The staff is elderly and speak extremely broken English if any at all. The floor inside is so ridiculously filthy, that it has stained the concrete right outside the front door. I don't think I would ever eat inside there unless I had absolutely no choice.

Ordered 4 items through Door Dash with my co-workers as we had a meeting at work and could not leave the office. Waited over an hour and half and when our food arrived, two orders were missing and they sent a dish that no one ordered. Very frustrating when you're hungry, at work and unable to leave so use a delivery service as convenience only to find your food is missing.

I didn't like it. Menu and reality are totally different. I love Vietnamese sandwiches. Pickled carrots and jalapenos. Great! But not at this place. I gave them a chance and ordered few different items from menu. Ingredins describes in menu are not what they give you. For exapmle, pickled carrots not pickled, jalapenos just belt pepper. Just let you know people, check your order always.

My first time, but it will be a weekly favorite. Ordered the Grilled Chicken with Lemongrass Vermicelli. There was an instant party in my mouth! Fresh, crispy, the delicate balance of sheer perfection.

Food came out very fast, small place but lovely little atmosphere, they have a wonderful selection of Pho and other food if you aren't in the mood for soup. The food was also very delicious, they have all the condiments right at the table so you can season to your taste.

Terrible customer service person at the front was very abrasive. Ordered our food on door dash 30 minutes ago come to pick up at the time door dash told me and the lady at the front said there was no order. Then she says oh she see’s it and it will take 30 minutes. wouldn’t recommend.

Ordered some food through DoorDash. Took way too long to confirm order and when the Dasher arrived to pick up the food, he was turned away by the owner. The Dasher was confused calling us to ask for help since they wouldn't cancel the order for us. So he is stuck without the food to deliver to us. First they said they don't have internet so they don't see the order. (??? Then how did they confirm the order without the internet?)... Then the lady in the store literally just shaked her hands to chase the Dasher out the door and said they are closed now. (???) Good thing DoorDash has taken the initiative and canceled the order with full refund for us. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!!

I ate many vegetarian Pho, but this was definately the worst. First prices went up (comparing to pictures here), just one choice of topping instead of two for higher price. Usually vegetarian broth is towards light color, this was dark soaked with enormous amount of artificial fried onion. There was no lime or cilantro provided, with few bean sprouts and like 10 little cuts of spring onion in large portion. It had nothing from richness and herby freshness of pho. I ate veggies and noodles, but chemical taste of fried onion make the broth disgusting.

Worst experience of my life. I ordered a pick up order ONE hour before it closes and they took 20 min to confirm it. Once it said “preparing your order” I went to the restaurant and there was a lady kick me out in Vietnamese saying they were closing. But NEVER GAVE MY FOOD.
And the lady kept talking to me in Vietnamese in a VERY rude way and they didn’t cancel my order on DoorDash so I haven’t got my money back.

I usually have a regular pho place I go to and today I wanted to try somewhere new and tried this place out. Honestly very disappointed when I got my pho., so much smaller and very flavorless. It tasted like it came out of the packaged one. Got another order of the chicken with white rice and the chicken was really oily on top of that, the coke can was dirty from the top. I ended up cleaning off but other than that I highly don’t recommend coming here.

Used to like this place when it was 1st opened. Then the service has gone down. They use less meat in there pho. Thought i would give them another try this evening out of convenience Because I've had a hard work week and I didn't want to drive too far out of my neighborhood theyre only a block away. For some reason they will not stick to their schedule I only wanted something to take home I didn't want to dine in and they turned me away at 8:30 when they close at 9:00 p.m.. Extremely disappointed in this place Very unfortunate

It tasted good, but $14 (after tax) for a large combination pho is very overpriced. (Without raw beef. They want an extra dollar for that). It's more expensive than even California pho restaurants. The sprouts were not fresh. Sorry, but I won't be back.

Abrasive and unaccommodating! Worst tasting Orange chicken I have ever had. It tasted like the a half bottle of orange favoring was dumped into the food. The orange taste was over-powering, like one entire orange peeling was grated into the sauce. The management was rude and unaccommodating. I will never go back.

Pretty good overall. There are options in the immediate area but you would do well to make the decision to go to Pho Zen. I'm a bit of an aficionado for Pho and spring rolls, and if you factor in a very adequate serving of iced coffee, this gets high marks.

I order 4 dishes for the family to go. Not impressed. Rice was not fresh. 2/3 of the rice ordered was dried like clay. Meat was definitely not grilled upon order. My rolls were never included and it wasn't worth driving back. The only reason for the 3 stars was for the kind waiter. Although I live close by, I'll probably drive a few minutes further for service next time.

Excellent food and excellent service. The older man was very nice and seemed very happy when we let him know how good the food was.

My date got the Flank Tendon Pho while I got the Shrimp Pho. Both of the dishes had very distinct and multi layered tastes. Amazing food for the price.

I eat here often for lunch as my job is nearby, love the soup broth and drinks they serve there. Nice staff that work there.

VERY UPSET ORDER ARRIVED VIA DOOR DASH 36 MINUTES LATE. THIS IS SUPPOSE TO BE A LARGE FOR $11.00 AND I HAD WHITE ONIONS AND NO EXTRA HOT SAUCE. PHO ZEN CAN KISS MY BUSINESS AND MY COWORKERS GOODBYE.

Y'know, some people know the difference between a soup that has been heated in the microwave and a soup that was just in the pot. (Not talking about the noodles)
The soup does taste okay, but I dont know why I would buy here instead of somewhere else that has fresh soup.
I only came for the Vietnamese sandwiches but after today, I wont be coming back. The bread was stale and after a few bites it's not worth the hassle to break your teeth trying to eat it.

The owner (the lady) is actually extremely nice and always has a smile in her face.

As a writer I can hardly say enough good things about these people and the food of Pho Zen. The service is spectacular. The price is right. Not too weird for American tastes. Cleanliness to the utmost detail. The ambiance they create is perfect. Coffee and tea is fantastic. The coffee! Fresh flowers. I sampled about 10 menu items, loved the soups and all of it. Of course my eyes got bigger than my stomach and they carried all of it to my car for me. I would give it more than 5 stars and I'm hard to impress. Whether a date or dining alone they bring it home. I'm sure I''ll be back frequently. And please, please, tip well because there is love in your food.
