Einstein Bros. Bagels

Saw another recent review of not one, but MULTIPLE PEOPLE who also found a black hair in their food!!!! This is absolutely absurd and disgusting. Service was trash, food was trash, if I could give 0 stars, I would.

The manager Sue is well aware of this issue and does not care to wear a hat or hair net. There were people in the line behind me that said “are you here because of the black hairs?” Clearly this is an ongoing issue and it needs to stop. This is disgusting and unacceptable.

I LOVE this location. I purposely drive out of my way to come here because Saratogas is horrible.
The coffee is perfect every time, the sandwiches are so good, and every staff member I’ve ever interacted with has been so cheerful and friendly which really makes a difference.

I have been a frequent patron of this establishment, dining here almost every day. However, recent experiences have left me deeply dissatisfied and hesitant to return.

Firstly, I have encountered multiple incidents where I found hair in my food, which is extremely unsanitary. Additionally, I was shocked to find mold in an apple pie (attached picture). While fortunately I did notice it before consuming, the fact that such an oversight occurred is concerning.

Moreover, the pricing of the apple pies is exorbitant considering their quality. At $3 each, one would expect fresh pastries. Unfortunately, they often seem stale, which is disappointing given the minimal cost to produce them.

Reflecting on these experiences, I find myself feeling nauseous at the mere thought of dining here again. It’s disheartening to witness such a decline in quality and hygiene standards. I sincerely hope that management takes swift action to address these issues.

Like their name indicates, they sell bagels. These are not just any bagels, they're Einstein Bagels! Grab a dozen of your favorites - you won't regret it! What's that you say? A dozens too many for you? Freeze them, and when you're ready, they thaw quick and still taste delicious! The gal that helped me today at the counter was super friendly and quick. I grabbed a dozen to feed the troops at home something for breakfast and nobody went hungry!

Just had the absolute worst food experience! We drove 30 mins to come to Einstein since there isn’t one close to us. I ordered 3 bagels in the drive through one had a long black hair baked into the bread and they were all soft and kinda doughy. My toddler wouldn’t even eat it. We had already gotten back on the freeway when we started trying the food. I called and the older lady on the phone said I would have to come back in to get a refund. I went all the way back with all three bagels and was met with some bratty blonde girl who knows nothing about customer service. I was very calm and not rude at all I told her I would like a refund because of the hair and the doughy-ness of the bagels. She said “they are only dough because we just baked baked them, they are really fresh” she said that a couple times. I’m like how fresh can they be girl there’s a long black hair hanging out of one. Never an I’m so sorry that happened to you or anything like that. I finally got my money back and was never offered different bagels or anything else. After personally being a manager and working in food for years that was crazy.

Einsteins used to be our favorite but it seems they have settled allot when it comes to freshness and staff members.

I came to the Draper Location because the Sandy location has messed up my order one too many times and well, I guess it’s just the people Einstein hires because they did it again. Asked for a simple egg and Chedder breakfast sandwich and my husband a farmhouse bagel- and we got the complete wrong order. I’m so over this place. I just want a breakfast sandwich 😭😭😭

Simply dirty. Everywhere: under and on top of the tables, under the counters, food prep area and the coffee area had dripping water from the ceiling tiles that splashed all over the area. First and last time coming here.

We used to love Einsteins but this store is just poorly run. We keep trying but the customer service is terrible, they have no inside tables (they do but they are stacked on top of each other in a corner and not for use) , the coffee isn't labeled correctly, and you get the overall sense that they just a drive or on line order business. We asked about pumpkin bagels that we have had in the past and they told us they have never made pumpkin. Another bad experience at this store.

I have always specified that I have an egg yolk allergy and the sandwich should only have egg whites. You’ve given me sandwiches with whole eggs three times now. What part of allergy you don’t understand? What if I ate it without checking? Never coming back to your restaurant.

Almost got the order right. I will give it to the preppers. They made exactly what was on the ticket so maybe part of it is my fault that I didn’t read more carefully, but otherwise a very good experience. I certainly will go back.

When our food was ready, the employee screamed out the ordered to get our attention. She was so loud it was startling. We were the only people in the restaurant, screaming was weird and not necessary.

Today before work I thought I would treat myself. I was asked to repeat my order twice when I went through the drive thru. The order I repeated twice was a toasted Asiago bagel with strawberry shmear. I am half way to work when I finally get to eat it and I look and it was completely the wrong order. I tipped and everything. The fact that I had to repeat it twice and it was at 6:15 in the morning when there was no one in the building. I am so frustrated because I expect my simple order to be correct especially when I tip. Such a waste simple fix and so easily prevented. Super disappointed in the staff. When I’m spending 5 bucks on a bagel I expect it to correct.

Inside is looking run down. Only a few tables that are always dirty and tons of open spaces... like you could have a band and dance floor in there. They could promote it as "Bagels & Band". I ordered a tasty Turkey Sandwich... It came with no turkey! They happily made me another.

Stopped by for my favorite sandwich, Tasty Turkey. The price was a little much, but I have eaten this sandwich 100's of times and I just like it. They waited for me to pay before starting to make the sandwich. The man behind the counter watched me pay and paid close attention to the tip I was/was not going to leave. I have 5- $1 bills in my pocket that I thought would do the trick after I got my order. Unfortunately, he did not get any of them. As he dropped my bag on the counter and walked away I decided to take a look. It was all in the bag, but it looked like someone tried to ride it thought a skateboard park. Gives new meaning to the word smear. Usually the sandwich is well put together and cut in half, not this time. It was thrown together and dropped into the bag. No napkins inside. I rebuilt the sandwich when I got to work and it tasted fine. I may be wrong, but a tip is earned not expected. If the sandwich and service was above ordinary I would have left him the $5. For what I received,... he should have returned part of my payment and said he was sorry. Next time Ill go to a different location.

I paid $10 for a breakfast bagel, drove 20 minutes to work, took 2 bites and found a 15 inch long hair cooked into the egg!!! It was not all wound into the egg like you couldn’t see it. It was hanging and mushed into the cream cheese as well. Freaking Disgusting!!!! I tried calling the location and every time you select the prompt to connect to a person, it restarts at the beginning of the prompts again! No matter how many times you try to select to talk to a person you never reach anybody. I called other locations and was able to get through to them just fine, the store is absolutely disgusting!!! 🤢🤢🤮

The Draper location, is a mess! There’s no sit down seating, they removed it because of the
Covid-19, and they never put it back, it’s dirty, it could use a good cleaning. And, half of the time, the orders are wrong. It needs a new manager/owner…for sure!! It used to be so nice, I don’t know what has happened to it!!!!

Ordered food online for a delivery, driver kept waiting and going back to the restaurant to pick up my order for one and a half hours. After all that time, driver came back one last time to pick up my order and was told they gave my order to someone else. Two hours later we have no food. Disgusting customer service. Such big company and you can’t hire more employees to actually service your customers. Now I remembered why I stopped coming here 5 years ago.

I live in Lehi, made a special trip to this Ensteins to grab lunch and bagels for later. Ordered and paid for a tasty turkey sandwich/6 bagels/cream cheese. I got home and no tasty turkey sandwich. They robbed me $10. I tried to call to get a refund and the automated message service wouldn’t put me through to a live person. Here I am in- no lunch and out $10.

This location still hasn’t opened their dining room. They have plenty of workers each time we’ve visited, just seems like laziness. I don’t eat in my car & they don’t have enough tables outside to accommodate, or they are in full heat of summer sun without an umbrella. I guess they feel they have enough business with drive thru, but I won’t visit again unless they open the dining room. We use to give them business, now choose places that value customers and offer a place to eat your food. I can go to the grocery store and take bagels & cream cheese home for less $ if I’m not eating there.

i love breakfast bagels so i had to try this place. it was okay! if i really wanted breakfast bagels i would go somewhere else to be honest..i got the garden avocado and a small iced caramel macchiato it was $15 and i don’t feel the price matches the taste or quality of the bagel. the coffee was pretty good though :)

My wife got me breakfast today and my breakfast begal had at least HALF THE EGG SHELL on my sandwich! I was so mad i went back and ordered 50$ of custom ordered food and told them how they messed my order up and stalled as long as I could that way I knew they had my order ready and I drove off. I will never go to this location again and every time my order gets jacked up fast food I will continue to do this. I was so mad when I went up there but once I left I was smiling, I'm no longer mad.$12 for a bagel that's probably got 50% egg shells is the biggest ripoff ever!

Absolute WORST breakfast experience of my life! Extremely slow, poor customer service and the food was cold. My wife’s”hot” coffee was so cold, it seemed to have been leftover from yesterday and served to us. I ordered a coke and got diet. Breakfast sandwiches together we maybe had 3 pieces of bacon. Never coming back for this overpriced garbage. I’ve had breakfast at sketchy gas stations that were better.

Just got the most disappointing bacon and egg sandwich and caramel macchiato of my life! Sandwich was lukewarm at best and has maybe 1/2 piece of bacon it and my hot coffee was cold. Good thing they served it with a coffee sleeve or I may have gotten frostbite!

I've been to Einstein Bagels many many times over the years. Most of the time I just order a bagel with cream cheese. They typically come loaded with almost too much cream cheese. Today I went to the Draper location for the first time ever. I ordered through the drive through. When I got my bagel I opened it up and just laughed at the minuscule amount of cream cheese they had put on my bagel. It was literally less than a half table spoon. I could only taste the cream cheese on 1 or 2 bites. If I hadn't been on my way to a meeting I would have went back in and had them add more.

I came in this afternoon just before 2:00 pm, not realizing they closed at 2:00. David was working behind the counter and was very friendly and helpful. I love Einstein Bros bagels, and David made the experience even better. Give him a raise!

This place is a shadow of its former self. The Google description shows Dine-in. That's a lie. They haven't had Dine-in for at least 2 & 1/2 years. The former dining room has NO tables and chairs. You can sit outside when the weather is nice but that's not "Dine-in".
I did go to sit outside. The bagel was okay but the coffee was luke warm.

While we were in line we saw mulitple peoples bagels being cut before being packaged up. The Cashier didnt bother to cut our bagels just put them into a bag, then charged us for the bakers dozen even though we only ordered 6 bagels not 12. Then when we were paying for shmear, the cashier was back & fourth with saying. "It'ss way more expensive" and "It's not" then back to "It's way more expensive" .

Went here a couple months ago, got my order wrong, I went back through to tell them, they told me to park, they brought me out another wrong order. I just left. Never going here again. The workers hate their job and hate doing a good job. As someone who worked as a restaurant server $2.75 plus tips (not guaranteed) back in the day, I can tell you I took pride in my work a million times more than they do. You’re serving bagels and coffee. It’s not that hard, trust me. Do your job and do it right.

The manager here is always so kind and willing to please her customers. She rushed and order of bagels for me after they ran out. Excellent food and service to match. Only suggestion would be to have 2 separate slicers - one for sweet, one for savory. The taste sticks to the blades and transfers to othet bagels.

Einstein Bros is fine! Everything’s always fresh—I just don’t think their bagels are anything special. If you really want a bagel breakfast sandwich (which is a totally understandable situation to be in) then sometimes Einstein Bros is your best option. During those times, it hits the spot! But if you’re near Salt Lake there’s a number of better options. Down in Draper Einstein is kind of the the only bagel option though. Staff is always nice and they’ve never gotten an order wrong. Just kinda have to be in the bagel mood for it to be my thing though.

Einsteins has great food and good bagels, when its made right. The last several months this location has had terrible costumer service, no seating and its a joke. I never get the right food, staff refuses to fix their mistakes. Its dirty inside their building and they need to make places for you to sit. The outside seating area is also disgusting and they dont have any umbrellas, in the sun they ask you to set them up only to find they are broken. This place will go out of business if they dont clean up their act. People are tired of it.

UPDATE 09/22/2021: Food was good but establishment if so dirty you might just walk out. Not a counter or even the front door clean. The help was busy, nice, and confused. The food was good but this place is absolutely FILTHY from floor to ceiling once again. The owner of this franchise needs to adhere to the standards of the business. Scary to touch anything in there. We really won't be back this time. Will head to another place for bagels.

I will never eat here again because of it. ***(5/24/18: I appreciate the response from the owner and I will try again because the food was delicious. I hope to see a complete wash down of the interior, including clean bathrooms, and if so I'll be happy to rate again with more positive comments).

Ordered a Fresh and Ready box in the drive thru this morning. Got home and noticed there were 11 not so fresh bagels in the box. Took it back and they gave me another box. I checked in the store. Same issue - 11 not so fresh bagels. Asked for a box to be made and the employee was super helpful. Avoid the Fresh and Ready boxes or check before you leave.

Dirty store with no inside dining, still closed from 2020. Carpets and ceiling are filthy.

Service is OK once they get around to assisting. The wait is so long customers were leaving to go to the drive through since that is clearly their priority.

Drive 15 minutes to another store, it will save you time.

I wish the Asigo Bagels had more cheese on them. Sometimes it's like a plain bagel.

No inside seating (as of late July 2021). This means take-and-go, or sit outside (the seats will be in the Utah sun after about 11 am). The espresso machine was broken and so a cheesy iced coffee was substituted. The staff forgot one of our items and had to be reminded. No napkins in the dispensers, so we used coffee filters instead. I was there for a business meeting and I had suggested the place (never been to an Einstein before), and was embarrassed for having made the suggestion. Not making that mistake again.

Still requiring masks. Bathroom was disgusting. The inside carpet needs replacing it was gross. The bagels and coffee were great. The kids working there were awesome.

Always loved the fact that they have had a drive threw, but honestly the best time to go is in the morning when they are fresh but there’s one thing about this place the reviews I read say a lot of things about being inside to dine in but I read most the reviews and the manger only replies to 5 star reviews that say stuff good about them in a way so if this isn’t true then reply to people letting them know that they are heard! Thank you for ur time

Solid bagels and sammies, staff here cranks out the food. Coffee is surprisingly good, esp when Starbucks next-door can take 15 minutes for coffee. Lox here is LEGIT, everything bagel is, well, everything a bagel should be. Place is run down, but grab food to go and you'll smile.

Ordered ahead about an hour in advance. They didn't start putting everything together until after it was supposed to be done and I asked them about it.

Let me start by saying the food does taste fresh, which is why a gave 2 stars and not one. I have been here a dozen times in the last year. Every time a plead to have my bagel toasted and to this day they have not toasted it once. I have even asked to confirm it was toasted at the window and they lied straight to my face. Toasting a bagel is a normal and common request....please listen to your customers.

they gave us too little of change, and gave us the wrong bagels. the girl who helped us didn’t take responsibility and tried to blame it on her coworkers. she had an attitude and didn’t seem to care really, and then didn’t give us back our recite after we specifically asked for it.

we pulled up and asked for 2 separate orders because we’ve done it in the past with no problem, home girl says no she can’t do that, whatever not a big deal, so we get to the window, my friend hands them his card, she hands it back and says it was declined and only charged 5 dollars, i hand them my card and pay for the rest but what happened was they charged my friends card for the order and 5 extra dollars and i paid for it again, basically paid double for no reason. very unsatisfied.

Some of the staff was very nice but there was one lady in particular, unfortunately I don’t have her name. She was very rude to us and to her coworkers. Instead of her asking if we wanted substitutions she made her coworkers talk to us. I don’t know if she was a manager or what but I felt worse for her coworkers than how she treated us. She spoke down to her colleagues and refused to treat them with equal respect. I’ve worked fast food and having someone like that in the workplace makes a busy day like this morning awful. She wore a red shirt and a black headband. I hope whoever in management sees this and can check the time stamp and let her know she should find a job where she doesn’t interact with people or fix her attitude.

Horrible customer service and employees that were very rude to me while I was there. The inside of the store was very gross and unclean. We waited over 40 minutes for our food and just ended up leaving since our food still wasn't ready. Terribly run einstein's. Would rather skip breakfast than come here again.

Bought this for breakfast. I haven't had Einstein Bros bagels for years and this was the best breakfast I have had in a very long time. You guys are still make people happy. Love the food.

The drive thru was pretty slow, but my, oh my! Their bagels are GOOD!!! and the girl who helped me was so happy and cute, I loved the service. They do need to work on speed but the food is DELICIOUS!!

I get offers from Einstein all the time and to get the offers you have to use their app but the app doesn’t let you customize your order. Needless to say I’m not very happy that I can’t get the free coffee that was offered to me. Also the last time I ordered on the app I was double charged and when I called the store I could not get an answer about why or who to call. I was told a manager would call me the next day but never heard anything.
