Office Depot

I had a simple return of three items that were a gift of the wrong item. The young girl helping me openly and rudely doubted that I hadn't opened the items. They were plastic enclosed and it would have been totally obvious if they had been opened. She finally got really into her rudeness by asking me "what happened with all of this"? I asked if she was just curious or what and so I finally told her it was a gift that wasn't needed by the recipient. I should not have been asked more than once, without her telling me that she was just being snoopy. I will probably never go to this place again or walk out if I see this rude person is working. Walmart has the same stuff with no questions asked. For less than $30, she should have just handled the transaction with a smile and I would have stayed a customer. So sad, and unnecessary.

I just had an amazing shopping experience at the Draper Office Depot!
The associates are on the ball, helpful and knowledgeable. Obviously, Qortni, the General Manager, has done a masterful job in training her staff in customer assistance and they have some great sales on the items I was looking for.

I entered the location in Draper today not sure If Office Depot would be able to help me or not with the task at hand. I was blown away by the Exceptional service I received by Kenna Pickens as she was extremely knowledgeable on my editing and printing needs. She was like wizard on the keyboard helping me quickly edit my PDF I brought in and help me quickly print my copies.

I received terrible service from an Asian worker on the evening shift just 15 minutes ago. I asked him politely to help me print a document, and he pointed out the printing machines. When I asked for assistance because I wasn't familiar with the process, he told me to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS... These kinds of workers really tarnish the reputation of such a prestigious company

Unfortunately really bad service in the copy department. I had a few pages that need to be laminated and asked if they could be ready the next day by 2pm. They wouldn’t provide any guarantee of when they’d be done and no alternatives. It was four pages. Probably better to try somewhere else.

Honestly, I was shocked at the price difference from your website to in the stores! One example is the folder dividers I purchased online for pickup was around $21 and the price in two of your stores was $36 & $40 — I am shocked at this business practice! And it's pretty much with all of your products. I explained this to the sales person but he was very indifferent to the matter. I certainly will never shop in the stores again and will only do online pickup.

I spent one hour trying to get an overnight USPS envelope sent. It’s good to hire the handicapped, but they should not be put in a position of helping customers. There was no one in the store, including the manager who knew how to do this simple procedure. They didn’t even know how to operate the printer. This is supposed to be a business center? Never again will I come here.

Guy treated me like a number. Not the standard greeting or “have a good day”. You know it’s Utah when people make fun of your name when it’s not Nephi, Lehi or Mckaylee. So much for the “employee of the month” written on his tag. When I was walking out he just stated to someone in the radio “I got another sign up. Didn’t even look at me throughout out the entire interaction.

Hi , Dale helped me to buy a printer for my home . I had no idea which one to get and he explained things well and I have used that printer alot and the ink lasts much longer than my previous printer and it is easy to use. I was so glad to see Dale there to day because I wanted to thank him for taking time to help me with my purchase and every thing he said has been true. He gave me the help I needed. Today's visit he was helful as well.

I had to return an ink cartridge because I bought the wrong one. I had opened it before I discovered my mistake. I was afraid the store wouldn’t take it back. However, The manager was so helpful and cheerful. He got me the correct cartridge after the no hassle refund. I was expecting a fight and instead got great service. A customer for life. Jim

Called ahead to confirm they had A4 paper, they said they did. Drove 30 minutes to get some, to be told in a condescending tone that A4 is basically the same and copy paper and they don't sell A4. We legally have to use A4 for these documents, so to tell us just to use letter size copy paper is less than helpful!

Super Disappointed, it’s says they’re open on Google but they have put up signs that they clearly just printed out and changed the time! You should maybe change it or put it under updates on Google! Some of us are just doing deliveries and this really messes up our routine! I will make sure to tell all our customers this going forward.

Morgan was so professional. I arrived with only 1 person in line before me. I had a large order with lots of complicated steps. After she started working on my order, lots of additional customers arrived. She was able to prioritize so well that by the time my order was complete, she had taken care of many more customers in the process. Not once did she seem to be frustrated. She simply took it all in stride, asked professional questions, and took care of customer's needs. My order was difficult, so she quickly managed each error as she needed to. In the end, it was an extremely pleasant experience, even though I'd been dreading getting this project printed for weeks. I had not had such good experiences in the past with other people. I highly recommend Morgan, she was patient and fantastic at resolving my difficult printing needs. :)

We have used this location several times for printing but lately we avoid it at all costs because of Tyler in the printing department. When trying to print funeral programs for my Dad, before I could even get a word out Tyler quickly shut me down & said they were too booked out & to use the website. He didn't even let me finish or know what I was requesting. He was rude & had an attitude towards both my sister & I the entire duration of our visit here. I get they were busy but it was like he didn't even want to help me at all. A smile & & kindness goes a long way especially when you never know what someone is going through.

Every time I come here to get something printed and bound they do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help me. They keep pointing me to the website like that is helpful whatsoever and act like they can’t just help me upload and edit it right then and there on the computer they are standing in front of. Tyler especially. It’s like he just doesn’t want to do anything and keeps pointing me to the website. It even got to the point where I went to the business binding portion and he told me to go somewhere else in the website so I can upload it myself. Tyler, if I wanted to upload and print it myself I wouldn’t have come in.

I went in to buy a printer ( all in one ) that afternoon. I checked the ones I liked. Took it to the counter, noticed it said internet hookup. I told him I don't have internet, can i still use this one. A few more questions,he looked at the box. Said ya think so.. Well no way, took it back. One person tried, I could but I need internet to print manual. What a waist of my time, gas, and have nothing to show for it. Everyone who works where products are sold, if there not sure get someone who dose.

Customer service was great and helped me with a quick return. If my experience were just with them, this review would be five stars. But I also tried to use their shipping services to simply send a letter certified (so I could track it). The girl at the SHIPPING counter was rude and clueless. Had never even heard of a certified letter. She called a man over to help and he was also completely clueless and didn't know how to help me. I wasted 20 minutes waiting for them to figure it out before I finally said "forget it" and went somewhere else.

Been using Office Depot frequently for my printing needs. Lately, the self-service machines seem to be having too many issues. Today, I waited 15 minutes for the printer to load a two-page document to print. It still didn’t finish in that time and I ended up just cancelling the print job and leaving. I think I’m going to go back to printing at the UPS Store. The rest of the store is fine but the printers are trash.

While at the location I saw several customers not wearing a mask. Tyler and, Andrew both had the chance to say something as they directly came in contact with the customers, but unfortunately it took me, a customer to give the customers one chance to wear a mask before having to give them one myself. We’ve been in this pandemic almost a year now and almost 400,000 people have died. It would be prudent if you could train your workers how to enforce a state mandate.

The in-store personnel at this location were not at issue; this issue relates to the Corporate entity. I went to this store to purchase an office chair. They did not have the chair in stock and so the clerk assisted me with ordering the item online for delivery. Mistake! The item was scheduled for delivery on Wednesday the 6th, however, the delivery truck arrived Tuesday the 5th. Finding no one at home, the shipping company (no relationship to Office Depot other than their contract for service) initiated order cancellation and sent the item back to the Denver warehouse. I received an auto generated email stating that the order had been cancelled and I would receive a credit in 5-7 business days. I called Office Depot and requested either a re-ship or credit for the amount I had paid for use at another store, in lieu of waiting 2 weeks for a refund before re-purchasing the item. The clerk had no idea how to help me, but gave me the shipping company and OD corporate contact #'s. The shipping company could not help me, as (unlike UPS and Amazon) they are not affiliated with Office Depot. OD corporate offered to "help" me by refunding my money in, you guessed it, 5-7 business days. So, I am now forced to purchase the item twice and wait for a refund if I want it before two weeks from today. Moral of the story; Office Depot/Office Max stores , and their shipping companies are not affiliated and will not assist customers with issues outside of their contract for service or individual store.

I bought a Whalen corner desk. I got all the boxes open and pieces laid out, only to find a whole set of parts missing. I called Whalen, who told me they were closed and to just take it back to the store. I called Office Depot for help. The very kind person I spoke to, volunteered to get the parts I needed out of a sealed desk they had in stock. I drove by an hour later and she had them in her apron and handed them to me. That made my day and completely made up for Whalen's lousy service. Good work!

I ordered a large wall Calendar from them, they told me a certain kind of paper was the cheapest option and then charged me $120 dollars.... My sisters got it printed somewhere else for $35 dollars. When I reached out they told me Sorry for the lack of Transparency. My company orders from them a ton but I guess that doesn’t really matter🤷🏻‍♀️

Called in to get information about having a stamp made. Sales associate I spoke to couldn't figure out what I was talking about and kept relaying my questions to his manager who was standing right there (I could tell because I wasn't placed on hold, so I could hear the entire conversation). When I asked to speak to his manager (since she was right there) he responded saying that the manager was busy, and so that was why he was on the phone.

Lost a customer today. Couldn't tell me exactly if and when a stamp could be made, nor how much it would cost. Taking my business elsewhere.

Completely incompetent. I bought a file cabinet for delivery. they then didnt deliver it when they were supposed to. So I called customer service, they were very nice and told me they would cancel the order and create a new one for delivery the following week. I didnt love it but not that big of a deal. The very next day they delivered my new cabinet. Wow that was fast! cool!. However, the next week another cabinet magically showed up. Ok now what? I looked on my credit card and I was charged for 2 cabinets. I didn't buy 2 cabinets?! to make a long story short it took them two and a half months to finally pick up the second cabinet and it (at their request) had been sitting out in the rain and snow for 3 weeks. absolutely a horrible experience. Im still waiting to get my money back..

I love the smell of office stores.

This store always has willing associates to assist with any shopping needs.

One day when I was trying to organize my existence, Dale explained the Tul notebook system and how he uses it. I bought a Tul disc-bound notebook and some different papers to try. I was amazed at how much having a flexible system made a difference in my work. I have since purchased the Tul paper punch so that I can organize my own documents. It’s both time-saving and freeing.

I’ve bought my share of toner here. (It’s quite a bit less exprnsive online, but when the printer runs out, sometimes it’s easier to run to the store.) I, of course, wish the toner were cheaper in store, but I also realize that a store is paying for retail space.

I like the selection at Office Depot—from Post-it Notes to Prisma Colors to some great 3” D-ring binders to hold my research. It’s fun to wander through the store.

Office Depot also has some great sales. (Check out my Slime backpack that I bought on clearance because it looked cool and spoke to the inner child. I’m still not sure what I am going to use it for—probably something important—but it was a steal.)

Kaden in the print shop was the best. The shop was days out with orders but he hustled to help customers get their projects done self serve - continuing with his other projects too. He turned my stinky day into a good one. Very knowledgeable young man.

*EDIT* I followed up with another phone call a week later and the lady I spoke to could only tell me "Their will be no refund issued". She didn't even listen to me, interrupted, and was in no way helpful.

I put in a job online and was promised one hour printing. It was a small job, I only needed 30 copies of an 8 page document printed.

I called the store to double check, and they told me it was actually going to take them 6 hours to finish the job. So I asked them to cancel it, and the woman said she did. She told me I would receive my refund in 2-3 business days.

So 3 days later I called again to check, and found out the order was "on hold" not canceled. I had to go through a 20 minute cancellation process on the phone and was told it would take another 7-10 business days to get my refund.

Will not be using this company again.

They were too busy to help me get some pictures scanned. I was told I could leave the pictures and they would get to them when they had time, but weren't sure when. Obviously, they did not want to be bothered with my project and would not even give me a time frame for completion. Very poor customer service.

Clean store and has what you need. Prices are a bit high as expected, but the selection of items is higher quality.
